The Skulls, 11

An eye for an eye.

Alex doesn’t have a clean past. His is filled with betrayal, anger, hurt, and loss. All he had to do was protect a young woman, Preston’s sister. Instead she ends up dead, and Alex hides the evidence, keeping silent about it for ten years.

A tooth for a tooth.

Alex’s mistakes have caught up with him. He may be part of The Skulls, but he knows better than most that the MC wants him gone. Everything he’s sacrificed means nothing in the face of one man intent on hurting him by hurting the people he cares about, including his newfound love, Sunshine.

A life for a life.

Sunshine, Michael, Tabitha, Tiny, The Skulls—who will survive, and who will die? Will Alex have to face this alone? Or will The Skulls pull through for the man who has always been in the background of their lives? The countdown is on.

Be Warned: bondage, anal sex

Excerpt:

“You’re a virgin?”

“Yes.”

He pressed his cock against her body, and she gasped. His cock was rock hard, rubbing against her stomach.

“Do you feel that?” She nodded. “That’s how much I want to be inside your tight pussy. I’ve wanted you for a long time.”

“Then why haven’t you made a play for me?” she asked. Not once during the time they’d known each other had he ever given away his feelings. They rarely talked, and it was only now that they’d said more than a couple of words to each other.

“You weren’t ready.”

“You didn’t even give me a chance to be ready.”

Dropping her hand from his back, she slowly brought it down to rest against his cock. He released a growl but didn’t let her go.

“Do you know what you’re doing?”

“I’m grabbing your cock.”

Alex pressed a hard kiss against her lips, biting on her lip. She cried out at the sudden assault of pleasure that crashed through her body. The little pain was delicious, and she didn’t want it to end.

“You’re playing with fire, little girl.”

“There’s nothing little about me.” She was growing tired of being treated like a child. There was nothing childish about her. She was a full grown woman, and no one seemed to see her as such.

“I know.” His lips brushed across her neck going to her chest near the tips of her breasts. “If you want to stop being seen like a little girl, come to my room tonight.” He held her hair a little tighter forcing her to look at him. “I’m warning you, Sunshine. Be sure you want my dick inside you before you come to me. I’m not someone to mess with. I won’t rape you, and I sure won’t feel guilty about being inside you.”

The Skulls, #11 Alex is the eleventh book in The Skulls series by Sam Crescent. This book is best read as part of the series to fully appreciate all the characters in the book and the story line. Alex has lived a rough life, filled with anger, hurt, loss, and betrayal. He was supposed to protect a young woman who ended up dead. Instead of finding the killer, he covers up who killed her and kept silent about it. Alex has been a part of the Skulls for years, however The Skulls have no idea how much he has protected them. Now his past of after him, and the Skulls want nothing to do with him. All the while, Alex has finally found the love of his life. Now what will happen next? The beginning of the story starts right where the last story left off, and leaves you wanting to know more. By the end of the first chapter, I was excited to finish the book. The author was about to continue the vivid and distinct world she created in the past books. This world is very realistic with a sense of location, as well as time. Her words created a very distinct picture. The pace of the story was steady and fast all the way through. The main characters and the secondary characters were fascinating and realistic. Both Alex and Sunshine had faults that they each had to deal with making them realistic. The point of view alternated between Alex and Sunshine, giving the reader a glimpse inside both characters. The changing point of view was done in a way that the reader did not get lost or repeat story lines. The main conflict carried over from past books in the series. The main conflict not only kept the story moving but fit the characters motivations as the dealt with it. The level of conflict was perfect, any more conflict and it would have detracted from the main conflict. The dialogue between the characters was honest and unique. The characters voice matched not only the setting but fit their overall personality. The ending was a bit predictable but the author takes the reader on a wonderful ride. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series

The TBR Pile

I really loved this book. I’m not typically a huge follower of motorcycle club series’ however this story was wonderfully written. I really enjoyed the way that Sunshine, while a virgin initially, became very confident in her role in Alex’s life and a force to be reckoned with. I also loved that she had a definitive part in the happily ever after. The sex in this book was HOT and Alex made no mistake in claiming Sunshine in every way possible. She in return claimed his emotions and his heart. An unusual but refreshing spin to this story was the realistic relationships of the supporting characters. Some are dealing with infidelities, infertility, insecurities, and all the other real life things that can make relationships a challenge. The love of family was a strong theme and this really made a difference. The violence was not over the top and the biker language was not overly-done either. I highly recommend this author!

Family

Book 11 in The Skulls series. I wasn't looking forward to Alex's story. He wasn't a character I liked very much. But when you like a series, you have to read all of the books in that series. So in saying that, I was happy that the book was in the series, and that we got to see a different side to Alex. He still is his own worst enemy. He keeps so much to the outside, and then gets mad when the Skulls don't recognise what he has been going, and what he has given up to keep the Skulls going strong. Thank goodness for Sunshine. She sees something in Alex and will do anything to protect him. Including showing the Skulls why they need Alex.

this was a great book ALL PARTS
Written by jackie on 24th Mar 2015

I have read the book and I couldn't put it down, this was a great book ALL PARTS.I know one person said she couldn't read Alex and Sunshine's part but they were the story and some short stories about the others. I don't see how you could skip over the best part of the story. Alex proved himself and Sunshine proved herself that she would go to bat for her man just like any of the other Old Ladies in the club. Someone said Sunshine didn't have a real job or she was too young, but I thought Tiny married a really young wife and really (Eva and Angel) had similar jobs. Eva a babysitter for a grown woman and Angel (working to pay her fathers debt). I guess that reader really didn't read your other books. I thought is was a great book and now is one of my favorite Skulls book. Thank you and I can't wait for the next one.

Give Alex a Chance
Written by Neringa on 24th Mar 2015

Well,...I don't know where to start. Well, if you had read previous books in the Skulls series, you know that Alex wasn't much of favorite guy. His desicions and actions, made me mad. So, when Sam said is Alex time to 'hear' his story, I think I'm not the only one who was kinda...Mmm...How to put it...Not looking forward for his story as others guys. Sam said, that she don't liked him, too, but then he showed her his other side, so give him a chance. And let me tell you, at the beginning I didn't saw it. Alex was... Well, Alex. But the more I read, the more I started to understand, what Sam was talking about. There is so much more to Alex. He made so much sacrifice for the club and no one knew it. He didn't wanted anyone to know it. Part what helped to sew the real Alex is Sunshine. She opened the door, where Alex keep his true self, his dreams. And let me tell you, the true Alex is amazing. Okay, he still having some annoying views, but no one is perfect. And Alex showed, that he had enough in him to be our beloved book boyfriend. He become mine, that is for sure. So, if you like me, having issues with Alex, which I did before I read his story, and are thinking, that you will pass his book...Don't. You will miss a great story. A story, which show to us once again, that you shouldn't judge book because of it's cover. There is always more to the story, then you are 'seeing' at the moment. And I'm asking you to give Alex a chance to prove to you this.

Wowzers! Hold On Tight It's a Hell of a Ride!,
Written by T. Simons on 24th Mar 2015

I had the priviledge of receiving an Advanced Reading Copy from the Author for an honest review. I’ve read the entire series of the Skulls thus far, and I have to say Alex has become one of my favorites! Once you start this story you won’t put it down. You will read it cover to cover, It’s that good! So many questions were answered, plus we find that Alex has more layers to him than we ever expected. Would we still have The Skulls with no Alex??? That’s the question. We are introduced to Sunshine, and can I say she is the perfect woman for Alex! They just fit together like a puzzle piece. Their relationship it’s so engaging. I loved her spirit. These two take us for an emotional ride. This story was so intense that Sam had me grabbing for the tissues, with Tabitha and Simon,(Their scene hurt my heart) Devil and Alex,(Interesting event) and Tiny and Alex their history, the club members who had lost faith in the man who has been behind the scenes. Sam gives us glimpses into Hardy and Rose who I can’t wait to read their whirlwind love story. I’m also looking forward to more on Stink & Sandy!! Sam is a genius with how she writes these characters, and I highly recommend this book!

I wasn't expecting to like this book after the way Alex has been in previous books, but I loved this book. This book explained so much about Alex and everything that he has gone through for the Skulls and his past. Sunshine truly did bring out Alex's good side. This is another great book in the series and I can't wait to see what happens next!!

Wow
Written by Rhonda on 20th Mar 2015

Okay, there was a lot more to Alex than what I thought there was. He kind of grew on me and while he's not my favorite Skull, I'm glad he's still part of the club. I really liked the way Sunshine had his back when she went to bat for him, but again, she's not my favorite old lady. All in all this was a great book and it helped me understand Alex a whole lot better.

A must read of this series!!!!
Written by Romantic Bookaholic on 20th Mar 2015

I am very glad that I gave Alex a chance. I was never very fond of this character but after is book, I have to say that he is actually becoming one of my favorites!! It goes to show you that everyone wears a mask and sometimes you never know them completely. In this case Alex was always there in the background taking care of everyone. I can't wait for Hardy and Rose's story!
