The Skulls, 14

When Baker first saw Millie, he truly believed he was ready to start afresh. The death of his wife and child had left him hollow. It was time to start over and leave his old life behind, without looking back.

Millie was used to coming last in everything, forever second best. There was no way she’d be able to compete with a ghost, so she let Baker go. But years have passed, and Baker is no longer a lost soul. He intends to show Millie the real man he has become. He’s determined to have a future with Millie. With the help of his family, The Skulls, he knows he’ll claim her as his old lady, and his wife in the end. With The Skulls at his back, there’s no chance of failing.

Everything seems to fall into place. Baker has Millie right where he wants her, in his heart, and in his bed. When her sister turns up, trouble comes with her. Can Baker convince Millie that he’ll stick by her? Will Bethany come between them? It’s time for Millie to find out what it’s like to have The Skulls at her back. No one attacks a Skull and gets away with it, and Millie is a Skull, Baker’s old lady, and part of the family.

Excerpt:

Baker moaned. “I’m trying to be the good guy here.”

“You are the good guy. I’m not ready for it to go any further. I’ve never seen this side of you, Baker, and I want to get to know him before anything else happens.”

He stroked her hair and stepped away. “I’ll go and take a seat.”

Her lips tingled from the kiss, and she couldn’t wipe the smile off her face. Everything was out of a fairytale. Well, a biker fairytale, but she loved it.

She made them both a coffee, and made her way into the sitting room. Baker was standing beside her book collection. She was a sucker for romances and cookbooks. Other than that, there was nothing else on her shelves.

“Angel has similar collections,” he said, turning toward her.

“I know. She was the one that recommended some of those books.” She put the coffee onto coasters and took a seat, watching him.

This was the first time a guy was in her home, and especially a guy she actually liked.

He moved and took a seat beside her. Resting her hand on her head, she smiled at him.

“I enjoyed tonight, and I enjoyed that kiss.”

“Thank you, for giving me a chance. I know it mustn’t have been easy for you to do.”

“It wasn’t. I believe you, and I wanted to go out on a date with you.”

“You know from the first moment I saw you, I knew you were going to be trouble.”

“You didn’t say a lot if I remember,” she said, smiling. “The Skulls had ordered a lot of gifts, and you were there to help bring them into the club.”

“I was. I wanted you there and then.”

“You wore your wedding band.”

“I did. Katie was still with me.”

Millie stared into his eyes, and she no longer saw the pain that had once been in his eyes. He really had moved on.

Baker took hold of her hand and stared down at her plain fingers. To her they were fat chubby fingers. Brian had complained that he’d have to expand his grandmother’s ring because they were too big.

Wow, twice in one night she’d thought of her ex.

Maybe with Baker moving on, it was time for her to do so as well.

“You look sad. What’s up, baby?”

“Nothing. Just thinking about the past, and another lifetime. It’s nothing. I’m going to move on, and completely forget about it.”

“If you want to move on, what do you think of making out?”

“I think I’d really like to do that.”

“Have you ever done it before?” he asked.

“No.”

“Not even with your ex?”

“No. Like I said, I thought he was a sweet guy who was considerate. I didn’t know at the time that he was screwing someone else. I haven’t made out with anyone, nor have been felt up before.”

Baker’s hands moved to her hips, and Millie squealed as he moved her over his lap so that she was straddling his hips.

“Then we’ve got to rectify that.”

His hands moved up and down her back, grabbing onto her ass.

“Wow, you’re very grabby.”

“You’ve not seen anything yet.”

His hands moved from her ass, going up to her hair and tugging on the strands. He claimed her mouth, and she cupped his face, kissing him back with a passion that started her. This time, she plunged her tongue into his mouth. Grinding her pussy onto his cock, she wished there weren’t any clothes between them.

“Fuck, baby, you don’t know what you’re doing to me.”

“I can feel it, Baker. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing.”

“You’re doing everything right.” He pulled her hair, and she followed his hands. Baker sucked on her neck, sliding his tongue down. “I could quite easily sink inside your tight pussy right now, but I’m not going to. Instead, I’m going to touch you. Is that okay, Millie?”

“Yes, hell yes,” she said.

Long and Short Reviews

This book was another great chapter in The Skulls series. I felt it was a fairly sweet story that involved most of the Skulls family. It was lower on the suspense than I’ve come to expect from Sam Crescent, but more than made up for it with the romance aspect. The plot was strong, multi layered, and well written. The main story begins with Baker finally letting go of his past and ready to move on with Millie. At last. The moment was a long time coming and nearly too late since he has been pushing Millie away for so long. That’s where the romance came in because alpha Baker had to convince a past burnt Millie that she wasn’t going to be his second place. I really liked Millie for standing up and making her feelings clear. She had her own sould searching to do about her past, her family and her feelings about the club. I loved the dramatics. Also, I loved how the author caught the readers up with our other favorite Skulls couples. Especially Lash and Angel, and setting up more of a relationship between Sally and Steven. It’s still looking good for The Skulls future books. As usual, I loved the main couple, Baker and Millie. The characters in this series have all taken on a life of their own and I have adored them all. The writing was clean and concise with a super fast flow to the story. To top it all off there was some trouble that came up near the end of the story. All in all it was a sexy and sweet and suspenseful combination that worked perfectly. I definitely can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this Book This book was so good! I think after the previous book we were all waiting for Baker and Millie's story. This book is 3years after the club got rid of Andrew. Everyone in the club is moving on and settling down to an drama free life (for now) And Baker has finally decided to also move on with his life. We learned in the previous book that Baker was married and his wife was pregnant and then he lost both of them. And when he met Millie he was still in mourning and Millie even though she was attracted to him she decided a long time ago never to be second best anymore. So she walked away from Baker But now all bets are off and Baker has decided to claim his women. So all he needs to do is convince Millie that he is finished mourning his wife and that he wants her and only her. This book is more laid back than all the othe previous books, No dire death situations no shootings or kidnappings just very laid back. But still a little drama with Millie's sister which was holy freaking hell. The Spawn of Satan. We get to check in with some couples, and especially with Steven and Sally. I can't wait to read their book! Definitely a favorite of mine Sam and hopefully we will be getting A New Generation Book???

The Fabulous Baker Boy!
Written by Francesca - Mrs Kissmas! on 5th Nov 2016

I absolutely love this series! Totally amazing and filled with beloved characters that you will hold close to your heart as you cannot help but fall in love with them. Baker, the heart broken hero who has been fighting his feelings for Millie the sweet and lovable toy shop owner for years as he was still grieving a loss from his past. Finally he has decided the time has come to move forward with his life and is determined to have Millie as the main part of that future. This romance was long awaited and was worth every moment of it. It was sweet and sexy all at once. At last the club finally have a little break from danger and enemies who threaten them at every turn and are able to focus on themselves as individual families and as one large family unit. I loved the fact that we also revisit some of the previous couples who have already had their stories told but are still dear to our hearts. I love the camaraderie between these brothers of The Skull's MC also all of their individual relationships. I was delighted that Baker's and Millie's story was finally told and we were able to see them find their happily ever after. I cannot wait for Sally and Steven's story along with Fighter's he should be a fun read also. I absolutely love this series so very much and cannot recommend it highly enough! However, to appreciate this series in all of it's glory as it should be along with each of their characters that you will fall head over heels for I strongly suggest that you read this series from the very beginning, you won't regret it or be disappointed! Happy Reading!

Yay so happy that Baker and Millie have their story Since the loss of his wife, Baker vowed to never have another old lady and never love again.here comes a strong woman with a sad past of her own, with a heart of gold. The ladies of the club already loves Mille. She’s the first woman who makes Baker feels something. Great story hot sex and check in with the club. Side note with way Millie grew up I am so glad she is genuine.

LOVE BAKER
Written by Neringa on 2nd Nov 2016

I loved Bakers book. I was a little worried about him because of his struggle with the pain from the past. But I shouldn't had worried. Every puzzle piece fit perfectly. This story was sweet with a little second chance romance. You for sure will fall for Baker as I did. No one going to stop this man to claim his woman, when he is finally ready for his future. And the way he was with Millie.... It was just priceless. You just wanna to hug Baker tight, he so makes you smile silly and your heart to expand with warmth. This The Skulls book is different from previous ones. No big dramas and no past skeletons showing up to f*** with the club. Though, there still is some drama. One that comes from Millies sister. Which I want to strangle six ways and bury 8 feet under. She's that evil b****. Uh!!! On the lighter note, I freakn adore Skulls children! They are so new generation for the club. I so can't wait for theirs ride to start. It will be epic.
