Olympic Cove, 2
When Dr. Nick Gardiner goes on the run from a psychotic ex and ends up at Olympic Cove, the last thing he expects to find is his friend Ian living with two redheaded demigods and learning how to be a storm god. Adding to the confusion is a wounded merman named Aidan who washes up in the cove, requiring Nick’s professional help. As it turns out, the handsome mer and his partner Liam have other plans for the ER doctor—to claim him as their destined mate and fulfill his need to submit.
A chance encounter at a local junk shop reveals that Nick has his own role to play in Ian’s battle against the insane Nereid Thetis. Under the reluctant mentorship of Chiron, Nick must master the use of the Rod of Asclepius if he wants to rescue his mates from a deadly fate and help Ian save the planet.
Be Warned: BDSM, menage sex (MMM), m/m sex, double anal penetration, rimming, sex toys
Nick dove into the waves, enjoying the feel of the water as it rushed past him. He surfaced and grinned at the bright sunlight overhead.
Ian, you have no idea how good you’ve got it. The sky was a gorgeous shade of blue, dotted with fluffy clouds that trailed yesterday’s storm. All the greenery behind the cottage was rain-washed and glowing in the morning sun. The air smelled fresh and clean with a bracing salt undertone, and the water was just cool enough to be refreshing. Even the waves were perfect for body surfing and fooling around.
A powerful tail sliced up through the water, beating the surface for a moment before sinking back under it. Nick waited until Aidan’s upper body popped up, splashing foam around with abandon. It was like watching a finned angel dance in the water.
The merman threw his arms around Nick, giving him a blinding smile. “There you are! I knew you had to be here somewhere,” he said, nothing but joy in his voice.
Nick slid his arms around the merman’s waist. “Where else would I be?” he said, laughing a little. “I can’t let you wander off. You’re still my patient.”
“And you’re mo chuisle.”
The unfamiliar words set off an explosion of warmth and contentment in Nick’s chest. He ran his fingers along Aidan’s collarbone, touching the sternal notch and the thong neckband that rested over it. “What does mo chuisle mean?”
That sunburst smile changed, turning achingly sexy. “I’ll show you.”
And then Aidan’s mouth was on his, claiming him. Nick closed his eyes and gave himself over to the kiss and the delirious experience of having Aidan in his arms. The merman’s tongue played along his lips, exploring the seam before teasing it open.
Aidan’s arms tightened around him as their tongues greedily spiraled around each other. When the mer licked the roof of his mouth, it sent blood rushing to Nick’s cock. He rubbed against the smooth scales of Aidan’s lower half, loving the way they felt so slick against his shaft, the tiny bite of the edges adding a prickly, half-pleasant pain.
“Wait, chuisle. I’ll take care of you.”
A hand came down and wrapped around him, stroking from the root to the tip. He groaned softly from the pleasure, thrusting into Aidan’s grip. “Wait, what about you?”
Aidan feathered another kiss across his lips. “Later. Right now, let us take of you.”
Someone laughed softly behind him. An unexpected body fitted itself against his back, strong arms coming around him in a gentle hug. He looked down to see large webbed hands resting on his belly and chest. “Us,” the unseen person said, voice low and sweet. “Hello, chuisle. Nice to finally meet you.”

This series is just getting better and better. I'm sure I mentioned the incredible world building before, but kudos to the author. She hooks you with her descriptions and the effortless weaving of Greek mythology into everyday life, until you'll find yourself looking for mer people when you find yourself on the beach.
Life is never dull in Olympic Cove, that's for sure. I'll be delving into book three now:-)

I just don't know how this story could get any better...two very sexy mermen, a doctor on the run from a nasty ex, a crazy Neried, the Rod of Asclepius, a God or two, and a whole lot of paranormal action. Oh, it was such a fun read!
It's really hard to give a rundown on this book because there is so much going on, and it's interesting as hell. I couldn't possibly do it justice. I'll just tell you that the characters are amazing, especially Nick, Aidan, and Liam (Aidan and Liam being hot mermen. They are very well written and detailed. You'll care about them and root for them through the whole book. They're perfect for each other, and they're so sexy! I've said it before, and I'll say it again, Nicola Cameron can really write a sex scene. They're always amazing. Heat, romance, and tenderness are always present. Your panties will drop to the floor, I guarantee it.
This story is a true adventure. All of the characters are working together to stop an evil that's so strong and frightening. We also have quite a bit of humor, and I really like that. While the subject matter isn't HEAVY, it's nice to have a bit of a break for some laughs.
I can't gush about this enough. "Breaker Zone" is the second in a series. The first is "Storm Season", and it was awesome too! The third is out today, and it's called "Deep Water". I've already bought it, and I'll be spending this evening caught up in Olympic cove and it's magical inhabitants.
You should really, really, REALLY read this!

As I said I was going to, I jumped right into this second book, immediately after finishing the first one. 297 Pages? Really…wow….they flew by. I was worried, sometimes sequels aren’t as good as the first book. Not so in this case. I liked the second one almost equally as much as the first!
Dr. Nick Gardiner shows up in Olympic Cove, on the run from his complete psychopath of an ex Dom. During their last BDSM session, the Dom took out a scalpel and carved his initial “B” into Nick’s chest. Nick is hoping by running to Florida from Chicago that he is far enough away from the psycho and he will give up looking for him.
Nick is a little surprised when he shows up at Ian’s door and finds Ian involved with the two hot redheaded Demigods from book one. He didn’t even know Ian was bi, and here he is having scored not one, but two hotties, and twins at that! Nick feels life just isn’t fair!
Nick doesn’t realize at the time that a wounded merman named Aidan is soon going to drastically change his life. And what happens when he finds out there is a third, named Liam who is a total Dom? There just might be some hot human/merman BDSM beneath the waves. And what happens when Barnard, the culprit behind the “B”, shows up with his goons?
This was another delightful romp complete with gods, monsters, handsome mers, confused humans, and the ever increasing dangers from the insane Neried Thetis. I highly recommend the book and the two book series. Since this second book just came out in December, it might be awhile before book three comes out…but I’ll be watching for it! Great job Ms. Cameron!

Nick. Sexy. Aiden (Merman), sexy. Liam (Merman), sexy. Three hot guys two of them are mermen. I loved, loved, loved this idea. And the way she explain about the pouch and their penis, very unique. I loved how it also wasn’t inst-lust. Although they were attracted, the romance was a slow sizzle because of Nick’s ex and the face that Liam didn’t have the best introduction. So many romances now a days go right for the sex without getting to know the characters. Thank you, Ms. Cameron for taking me on this journey with you. There is so much going on in this book and it’s all weaved perfectly. I did not want this to end and now I’m going to start stalking the author’s website for the next Olympic Cove book because there is no way I’m missing it.
If you were crazy enough to pick only one book to read this year, Breaker Zone by Nicola Cameron, should be the one!

Breaker Zone is the second book in the Olympic Cove series by Nicola Cameron. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed without reading the first book in the series.
Dr. Nick Gardiner is on the run from his psycho ex and ends up visiting his friend Ian in Olympic Cove. Nick is a submissive who knows what he likes and needs in a relationship. However, Nick seems to struggle coping with few bad relationships he has had.
Aidan and Liam are mermen. They are mates in search of their third partner. They each have spent much of their time searching but have only recently come ashore to search. Liam is a Dom and seems very comfortable in charge. Aidan comes across as a switch. Both men knew as soon as they saw Nick that he was their mate, the issue was convincing Nick of it.
The connection between Nick, Aidan, and Liam is searing. They make a great triad. I loved that Liam took it slow to get Nick used to him. Also they fit each other very well, which was not really how Nick seemed to expect it to go. The sex scenes were sizzling.
I found this book well written with a unique plot. The main characters and the secondary characters were absorbing. While the ending was a little predictable, the journey was filled with twists and turns that kept me on my toes all the way through. I had a hard time putting this book down. Overall, this was a very captivating book and I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

This review is from: Breaker Zone (Olympic Cove Book 2) (Kindle Edition)
I read Breaker Zone as a standalone and it totally worked for me. Now, all I have to do is get a hold of the first book, Storm Season, and read for myself the story that started it all. As I love the Greek gods' stories, I was happily satisfied with how this arc worked. I was not in the least disappointed as I expected to be... and usually am.
This is the story of Nick Gardiner, a submissive by nature but a fantastic ER doctor. His lover had not only hurt him but as they practiced BDSM, it was a total surprise, a painful one, to find out that his supposed lover and master not only broke their boundaries, but was out to get him. Turning to the friend he knew best to be supportive and non-judgemental, he reaches out to Ian West and stumbles into a world so different and confusing from that which he knew was normal. To top it off, a talking snake speaks with the voice of Judi Dench. Oi!
Aidan is a merman or mer and was out searching for his and mate, Liam's, fated third. He woke up to pain and the caring touch of a doctor who he discovers is his other mate. Of course, fate is kind of a tease as Nick refuses to get into bed with him because he is a patient. Another thing, Aidan knows Nick knows nothing about Liam. What to do?
Liam was searching for his mate, Aidan, when he stumbles into a cabin and finds him in flagrante delicto with a human. In anger, Liam strikes out but is subdued by the presence of twin sea gods, Bythos and Aphros, mates to Ian, who just happened to be a storm god now. His anger causes problems as Nick is wary of his presence but could not deny their pull toward each other. Nick's behavior is only understandable once Liam finds out the reason why. Now all he has to do is convince his fated mate that he is not a master to break the rules.
There is also the question of Nick's ex-master...
Although this is categorized as BDSM, it is too light to be really considered as one, but that is not an issue at all. The plot moves fast, the character developments were really done well and the overall impact was: surprising.
Surprising because this is a shape shifter/paranormal M/M story so there is a stigma of "another one" attached to it. Also, this is Greek mythology based so I am quite skeptical for I have read many that attempted and failed dismally. Happily, not only does this story work, it takes a great twist of mythology and made it paranormal and that is new for me.
Overall, I am happy and I am very satisfied. I will be happier once I read the first installment. So a hunting I will go and I think you should as well.

Nick is an ER doctor on the run from his psychotic ex Dom, Barnard and is staying with his friend Ian who lives with two demi-gods Aph and By (See previous book Storm Season). During a storm they find an injured merman, Aidan who Nick helps out. Nick is attracted to Aidan but his professionalism means he can't get involved with a patient. But as Aidan heals they give into the attraction between them until Liam, Aidan's mate turns up and nearly kills Nick because Liam thinks Nick was taking advantage of Aidan. Which is where the real conflict comes in because now, Nick wants nothing to do with Aidan and Liam who are supposedly his fated mates.
How is Liam going to convince Nick that he isn't a psychotic Dom like his ex? Will they be able to convince Nick he is their mate? Meanwhile, how is Ian going to deal with a crazy goddess bent on destroying earth and are they going to be able to save Nick from his ex bent on getting him back?
OMG! This is one HOT book. Okay, there's a whole lot going on this in this story and there's a host of characters to go with it. Stick with it and the payoff is immense. One of my favourite scenes involves Liam (the Dom) on his knees in front of Nick (the sub) and saying this:
“I want to feel you getting hard in my mouth, savor the softness of the skin on your cock, smell the musk of your body, taste your pleasure. I want to make you come in my mouth, Nick. Will you let me do that?”
I loved this hot fantasy adventure erotica with Greek mythology woven into it and an underlying eco message. I know you will too. Go and grab your copy.

Nick flees to his best friend Ian at Olympic Cove when his Dom gets out of hand, and he discovers far more than he ever wanted to discover. Aidan is a merman searching for his human mo chuisle, his mate, when he is injured and then rescued by Bythos and Aphros. When he is taken to their home he discovers the doctor, Nick, is his missing mate. Liam is searching for his injured mate Aidan and after a misunderstanding, that has his human mate terrified, is delighted to find that both his mates are safe but getting Nick to forgive him is hard. Nick also discovers that he has a part to play in the battle against the Nereid Thetis, but will he really be able to accept everything that’s happening and will his sadistic ex catch up with him?
This is a great second story in the Olympic Cove series; the story carries on with the storyline of the insane Nereid Thetis and her determination to destroy the world. Nick is a great character who made a bad judgement call with his last boyfriend; he turned out to be a sadistic prick who is determined to own Nick, now Nick is running with his dog Norma and turns to the only person he can think of, Ian. Aidan and Liam are mermen and although they are mates the Oracle told them they also have a human mate, they have search for years for him and when they finally find him it isn’t easy on any of them. Nick also discovers a staff that has him being drawn into the battle against Thetis, he finds favour with Poseidon and falls foul of Liam’s mother.
I really enjoyed this story and loved visiting Olympic Cove again with the chance to see Ian, Bythos and Aphros. I also loved how the storyline carried over with Nick being drawn into it with his role as a doctor, his discovery is connected with information that Ian had dug up in Storm Season so reading Storm Season first is a must as all events lead back to that story. We are again drawn into a world where Gods and Goddesses are fighting to balance nature, with Thetis driven mad by the oil spill and turning sea creatures into monsters to fight her battle it gets harder for the protectors to right the wrongs of humans. We have humans being brought in who are pivotal to the battle and they discover the loves of their lives among the paranormal world.
Nick, Aidan and Liam start off rocky but their trust and relationship builds as they face hurdles and danger, not only do we have Nick having to learn his new powers we also have his sadistic ex trying to get him back by any means necessary, then there’s Liam’s mother who disapproves of his mating and who keeps throwing spanners in the works, and then we have Thetis who is determined to have smarter monsters. So it’s a bit of a rollercoaster ride, Nick, Liam and Aiden do have time to work on their relationship though so we get a good feel for all three of them and their relationship… and they are sooooo hot together!
I recommend this to those who love paranormal stories involving Gods and demigods, mermen finding their mo chuisle, accepting fate and the love offered, facing danger and making new discoveries and a great ending and a storyline that is left open for the next installment!
