Romance on the Go ®
Rick Sommers is back in town for his cousin’s wedding, and he has one goal for the weekend: to take Dr. Tiffany Albert to bed. The thought of her has been driving him absolutely mad since he saw her at a wedding last year.
Of course Tiffany easily succumbs to Rick’s charms. She’s had a crush on him since middle school, and now he’s finally noticed her. Some hot sex in his hotel room is a dream come true…although what she really wants is to submit to him.
When she accidentally reveals her deepest desires, she doesn’t expect him to agree. Or for their night together to be even better than her fantasies.
Be Warned: BDSM, sex toys, spanking
Dr. Tiffany Albert was the reason Rick’s last relationship had ended.
Rick swirled the whisky in his glass. No, that was unfair; he would have broken up with Serena anyway, but the reason it had happened when it did was because of Tiffany.
And now, one year later, he was back in Everett Bay for a wedding.
Last year, at another wedding, she’d worn a little black dress and black heels with bows at the ankles—God, those shoes—and she’d been, without a doubt, the hottest woman in the room. Strange that he’d never thought about her much before. They’d gone to school together, here in this speck of a town on the western shores of Lake Huron.
This year, now single, he’d come to his cousin Melanie’s wedding with one goal: to take Dr. Tiffany Albert to bed.
And he was pretty sure he would succeed.
The too-long ceremony had finished half an hour ago, and now he was sitting in the hotel bar, staring out at a lake so large you couldn’t see the other side.
Rick missed it here. The sand, the sun, the water…why had he been so keen to escape when he was eighteen?
Everett Bay, Ontario had more than a few things to offer, and one of them was now walking into the bar, wearing a flirty purple dress that ended just below her knees.
Jesus, she was hot.
The thought of Tiffany had been driving him absolutely mad for the past year. He needed to have her to get his sanity back. Just being in the same room as her made his skin prickle uncomfortably.
He looked down.
She was wearing the same shoes as last year.
He looked up and pulled out the bar stool next to him.
“Hey, Tiffany,” he said. “Care to join me for a drink?”
“Rick.” She had a lovely soft voice. “How are you?”
She sat beside him and ordered a Manhattan. He was surprised she was here. He’d thought she’d go home between the ceremony and the reception, and he’d planned to make his move later on.
But he wasn’t complaining.
“I heard you took over Dr. Howe’s practice,” he said.
“Yes. Last fall. And you’re still in Toronto? Construction, right?”
He nodded. “For now. I’m thinking of moving back.”
“Oh? I remember talking to you at prom. You swore you’d never return.”
Rick had a sip of whiskey. “I’m surprised you remember a throwaway conversation from high school.” He certainly had no memory of her from that night.
Her cheeks turned slightly pink, and she eagerly reached for the cocktail that the bartender set down in front of her.
His eighteen-year-old self had been an idiot. Tiffany had a gorgeous smile. Her hair was wavy and light brown, ending well below her shoulders, and he saw a hint of gold when she turned her head. Large brown eyes, and a small frame with petite, perfect breasts…
His groin tightened. He’d spent so many nights picturing her on her knees for him. Naked. Willing to do whatever he asked of her.
“What else did I tell you on prom night?” he asked.
“At the after-party, you told me to lighten up and have a drink.” She held up her glass. “As you can see, I’m taking your advice. Thirteen years later.”
“And why do you remember what I said?” He slipped his hand under her chin and tipped it up. He stroked his thumb over her skin––it was smooth and warm.
She ran her tongue over her upper lip. “Don’t make me say it!”
Damn, she was cute.
And he imagined having those pink lips wrapped around his cock…
“You’re going to have to spell it out for me,” Rick said. “I have no idea why you remember that.”
He grinned wickedly at her.
“Because I liked you!” she blurted out. “I had such a crush on you. I even went to your baseball practices. It’s embarrassing, and I’d prefer if we could forget about it. But it’s not a big deal. A lot of girls liked you. I’m sure you knew that. I was just one more.”
When he drew his hand away from her chin, she covered her face with her hands and looked at him through her fingers.
“And what about now?” he asked.
In the intense silence that followed, he leaned forward, his knee brushing against hers.
“That was a long time ago,” she said.
“At church, just an hour ago. I was sitting in the pew behind you. Don’t pretend you didn’t see me. You kept looking back at me.”
“You noticed?” She was still peeking at him from between her fingers.
He wrapped his hands around her wrists and pulled them down. “Of course I noticed. When a beautiful woman can’t take her eyes off me, I notice.”
Tiffany laughed. She must think he was joking.
Rick led her over to the window, where no one would overhear the conversation. He looked out at the lake, hands behind his back.
“I’m serious, Tiffany.” He nudged her foot with his. “I want to see you in these heels and nothing else, spread open for me. During the ceremony, I could think of nothing else.”
“You…want me? And not just because I was the first woman who walked into the bar?”
He let out a sharp laugh. “God, no. I got a room in the hotel rather than staying with my parents. For the simple reason that I want to take you to bed. And when I saw you look at me earlier, I knew I could fuck you. Because it’s what you want too.”
