Warriors of Hades, 2
Minka is a human, a dying species that is both weaker and more vulnerable than any other being in the galaxy. Because of this, humans are hunted down and taken to the intergalactic slave auctions to be sold.
Brawn, Thorque, and Lukin are warrior brothers from the planet of Hades. Because their need for finding a female and procreating with her has come upon them, they are in search of one to share.
But when they are forced to land on a planet infested with dangerous beasts, the last thing they think to find is their human mate.
Minka doesn't know the demon-looking warriors that rescued her from certain death, but what she does know is that they want to share her ... and for her to have their babies. Yet despite her fear of the unknown, Minka wants them, too, and knows that fighting is not an option anymore.
Be Warned: menage sex (MFMM), anal sex
“We need you, Minka,” Thorque said, and she broke the kiss and glanced at him and Brawn who stood only a few feet away now. Even though they wore their dark leather pants she could see how hard they were, and how thick and big their erections were as they pressed against the material of their pants.
She swallowed and then nodded, needing them as much as they needed her. The time hadn’t been very substantial since she had been with them, but it felt like an eternity. With her life hanging in the balance twice now in the last couple of days, she felt like she needed something to make that negativity fade away. Minka glanced over her shoulder toward Brawn’s room, which when she had been walking around the cave and becoming familiar with everything she had realized was the largest room. When she looked at the men again, she knew they would want her to tell them she was ready. They hadn’t been shy or discreet when telling her she would be theirs or that they wanted her, but they also had not pushed her into anything sexual.
“I’m ready,” she said softly, and the noise that came from the three of them, vibrations that were masculine and powerful, strong and alpha, seeped into her body. Before they could respond she turned and led them into the sleeping chamber.
She stepped through the entryway, the room a vast cavern with sharp, jagged rocks protruding out of the walls, and the lighting coming from heating plates that reflected off of the lava. For all of the technological advances in the universe, these males lived simple lives, and she welcomed that.
There was a large bed in the center of the room, and dark, almost liquid in appearance coverings lined the top of the plush looking frame. Across from the bed was an opening in the wall, and there she could see a fire burning brightly. The cave was warm as it was, comfortable for her, but she supposed the warriors were used to much hotter temperatures.
One of the brothers touched her, and she looked over her shoulder to see Brawn standing behind her. She shivered, wanting out of the shift she wore, and feeling their hard, warmed, and red flesh pressing against her.
Thorque and Lukin moved beside her as well, and a jolt of electricity speared through her at their closeness. She had felt desire before with Jobe, but never had she felt this kind of intensity.
“Be with us,” Brawn said softly and leaned his face down so it was close to hers. “Let us show you what it means to be claimed by Hades warriors.”
His breath was warm and skated over her cheek, and she closed her eyes. “I want this. Want all of you to be with me.”

Who would have thought crash-landing on a hostile planet would be Minka’s ticket to freedom? On a slave ship her future is bleak. As a survivor of the ship crashing she at least has a chance, even if that chance ultimately ends up with her as a fearsome creature’s dinner.
Minka was adventurous and has been living on the edge, so she was receptive to any opportunities. When those opportunities present themselves in the form of Warriors of Hades brothers Brawn, Thorque, and Lukin, she’s good to go. Anywhere. Right now.
There wasn’t much beating around the bush with this bunch. Cards on the table and everyone is on board. A few uncomfortable moments with Lukin, the youngest, but that clears up nicely. I liked that Minka met the warriors on even ground rather than being bought. These brothers seemed a little less steeped in tradition and that worked for them and Minka. Very steamy with the logistics of three men and one woman. A good read.

I was not originally a fan of paranormal romance but lately I have been fortunate enough to read some books in this genre that have really helped me form a positive opinion. Jenika Snow’s newest book, Mate Her, is one of those books that have shown me just how fun a paranormal romance can be. This book in particular, the second book in the Warriors of Hades series, is just a check your brain at the door, sit back and enjoy yourself, entertaining romp through the galaxy. I found myself impressed with her creativity and imagination as I read this book in one sitting.
The story began with so much drama and tension, that I was immediately hooked. Minka was on the run, fighting for her life against a scary fictional creature. But Ms. Snow had done such an amazing job describing everything about this beast and Minka’s fears that I was on the edge of my seat. When Minka was rescued by Brawn, I was finally able to breathe again as the tension switched from danger to passion.
Brawn and his brothers Lukin and Thorque are red-skinned warriors from the planet Hades. They decide that Minka will be their mate and bring her back to their planet. While the mating is inevitable, the three warriors set out to win Minka over. What follows is a sweet romance as Minka finds herself falling in love.
My favorite part of this book is Ms. Snow’s imagination. She created a fictional planet but described it with so much detail that I could close my eyes and easily picture it. There are creatures and lava streams and more. And while the three warriors are alien creatures, their thoughts, feelings and actions are human enough to make you fall in love with them.
Mate Her is a very quick read coming in at less than 100 pages. And because Ms. Snow seemed to focus more on the emotional relationship between Minka and the warriors, there is not a lot of focus on the actual mating. But when the four get together sexually, it’s steamy and passionate and sexy, leaving you wanting more.
I always have fun when I read Ms. Snow’s books and Mate Her was no exception. I appreciate her ability to write books that help me escape into other worlds. Everything flows so easily that you will be finished reading before you realize it. In fact, my only wish is that Ms. Snow would have made this book longer so I wouldn’t have had to leave Hades so quickly and could have enjoyed more of the passion between the four.
Mate Her can easily be read as a standalone novel but I was fortunate enough to have read both books in the series and can’t wait for the next one. If you are a fan of paranormal romance, you should really read this book. If you are not a fan, I still suggest you read it, because Ms. Snow may just change your mind like she did mine.

Mate Her, Warriors of Hades book 2. Great follow-up to Breed Her. This book has more substance than the first. There is more character development and chemistry between them. Fun fast read. Hope to see more of the Hades Warriors. What girl wouldn't want to be a pampered princess to some Hades Warriors!
