There's nothing more tempting than a stranger who stands out in a crowd, especially when that stranger’s emotional colors are different from everyone else.
Aleyin always knew he was different. His new age parents made sure of that when they decided to name him Aleyin after the Phoenician god. I imagine we've all felt as if our family members were the oddest in the bunch at some point, which brought me closer to understanding Al. When he began to see peoples emotions, he knew he could never be normal. This gave Al the sense of being lonely even in a crowded room. I could easily sympathies with him to a certain degree. I wanted to know more.
While Aleyin was easy to read, Dagan was dark and mysterious with a hint of danger. Just the kind of man you dream about meeting in a back alley to take advantage of you, but fear the reality of it actually happening. The author did a great job creating enough mystery about him to make me want to know more, and fear him all at the same time. In the end I found that the harsh yet sexy exterior hid a beautiful gem underneath.
This story definitely pulled me in from the beginning, which created a quick read. Though I'm not familiar with Phoenician gods but it felt as if it were real. Ms. Lee's writing was simply that good. The fact that the author made me believe in their world was inspiring and captivating. I felt connected to the world, and the characters which made this a excellent read.

Aleyin knew his name was that of an ancient god of some sort and it was embarrassing as well. He had a lot of trouble fitting in with his family. He is gay, an empath and not as flamboyantly Wiccan as they are.
Aleyin moves away from home to try and sort out his life. His favorite hangout is a gay bar though he hasn't even picked anyone up. That is until the night he meets Dagan who claims that he and Aleyin were lovers far back in the past and that to end his curse Aleyin must fall in love with Dagan again.
Can Aleyin love Dagan for himself or will Dagan forever be cursed to stay a nightwalker without Aleyin's love?
The Color of Hunger was OK read and it did catch my attention. It was a little fast for me in the end. I think there should have been a little bit more challenge for the two men to beat the curse.
I will though recommend this one as an OK read.

I loved this story! One of the best, most interesting m/m stories I've read lately. Loved the paranormal twist.
