Tortured Love, 4
Rosanna Selim can’t recall almost two years of her life, but it hasn’t stopped her from loving her job as a paralegal with one of the top defense firms in Cleveland, Ohio. It also hasn’t affected her relationship with sexy, charming homicide detective, Houston Cassidy. Until he tells her about a twelve-year old case. As images invade both her waking and dreaming states, she’s certain that uncovering the truth means losing Houston.
Houston has been unlucky in love because of dedication to his job, so he’s determined not to screw things up with Rosanna. She’s sexy, beautiful, and the most easy going woman he’s ever met. He adores her. But when she tells him about the images, and as she works with a therapist to recover her memories, Houston has to come to terms with the possibility that she’s the killer in a case he’s been trying to solve for twelve years.
Be Warned: anal sex, spanking
“I love it when you do that.”
“Are you sure?” He raised his brows. “I can wait a long time.”
“Oh yeah?” She shoved her hand between them and caressed his erect penis. “Doesn’t feel that way to me.”
The laugh she loved so much filled the space around them. “Appearances are deceiving.” Shivers ran up and down her spine as he kneaded her breasts. Even with her clothes still on, the effect was intoxicating. She massaged his shaft, aching for that dick to be inside her.
“You’re going to wait for it, babe.”
“Even with me doing this?”
One finger traced between her breasts, over her abdomen, and landed on her clit, where he rubbed hard. The movement forced her hand off his cock. “Now you can’t reach me.”
“I never tease.” He massaged her swollen bud through the jeans, but she definitely felt it.
“So what do you call this?”
“For being too damn sexy for your own good.”
“Weak, Houston. Very weak.”
“Oh yeah? Who’s the one squirming and begging right now?”
When he clamped his mouth on her groin through the denim, Rosanna cried out in pleasure. He was right. He’d nailed her. How the man had so much self-control was a mystery to her, but she loved it. She loved the teasing and she loved the way he made her so crazy with desire she wasn’t above begging him to fuck her.
“I’ll bet your hot pussy is soaking wet right now.”
“Why don’t you take off my jeans and find out?”
“Oh, I’ll take them off, but I’m not fucking you just yet. There’s something I keep promising you but haven’t delivered.”
“And what might that be?”
A wicked, sly grin had her wondering if she should have asked. Houston yanked off her jeans, taking her panties with them. He removed her socks and shoes, but instead of returning to what he’d been doing with that magic mouth a second ago, he sat on the edge of the bed and pulled her over one knee.
“Houston…” She was so surprised, she had no idea what to say.
“I’ve been threatening to spank you for weeks.” She gasped as he swatted each cheek, hard. He pinned her thighs with his right leg and held her across the lower back with his left hand. She couldn’t move, and the effect was so deliciously dominant that she nearly came.
“Tell me you’ve been a bad girl.” One more stinging smack on each cheek forced another gasp from her. “I want to hear you say it.”
“I’ve been a bad girl.” Her voice came out all breathy and low, but honestly, how could she help that? This was so over the top intoxicating that her clit began to throb.
“Yes, you have.”
“Oh my God!” He delivered five more blows to each cheek, alternating, and now they burned like fucking crazy. Each swat built on the next one, until she couldn’t distinguish the pleasure from the pain. The combined into one sweet, torturous sensation that sent shivers down her spine, and tiny contractions to her soaking wet pussy.
“Had enough yet, bad girl?”
“I don’t even know how to answer that.”
Houston rubbed the wounds he’d made, which forced loud moans from her as the intensity of the burn increased. “Not quite yet. You can take a bit more.”

I’ll be the first to admit, I’m a HUGE Ravenna Tate fan, so I was super excited when this book came out because I love this series so far, but I have to say that as much as I loved the other books, this one, by far, blew me away. I mean, I think this may be my favorite book from her ever. I ran through the gamut of emotions from laughing to crying and I was seriously bummed out when it was all over. (Because it was over.)
Houston Cassidy is a police detective who has been a detective for 12 years. He’s gone through 3 marriages because of it, but he wouldn’t give it up. He also has a girlfriend, Rosanna Selim who he is crazy about. His partner Annie, who drives him and all the rest of the precinct crazy, has found a lead on a cold case. His very first case as detective.
He tells Rosanna about the case, and she starts having nightmares along with ages old flashes of dark images. Houston starts to suspect that Rosanna may just be the suspect he’s been looking for. If she is, then she may have lived through something horrible.
I seriously felt for both characters in this book as both Houston and Annie’s investigation progressed and Rosanna not only had to deal with lost memories, but with Houston being a bit of a jerk for a while, and then dealing with her repressed memories when they come to light. Aside from Houston’s period of being said jerk, he really was a great guy. And I liked Annie, maybe she’ll have a book. All in all, if I could give this more than 5 Stars, I certainly would. Just an awesome read!!!

Houston's been in there and done that when it comes to love, but his latest love is something special.
Rosanna has never felt as cared about and loved as she does with Houston.
Everything is going great for this couple until Houston's unsolved case gets an unexpected lead. While Houston is tracking down leads Rosanna starts having flashes of her past and having nightmares.
As Houston gets closer to solving his case he starts to suspect Rosanna has the answers he's looking for, but the only problem is that she doesn't remember.
As Rosanna strives to remember her missing year, Houston wonders if he should take her into custody or take her away and never look back.
I can't even begin to express how much I enjoyed Undeniable. It grip me right from the start and make me sit on the edge of my seat. I was holding my breath while waiting to see what would happen next.
Houston is down right sexy with his good looks, a deep desire to protect those he loves, and extremely talented in the bedroom. What I love best about him is his duty to keep Rosanna safe at all costs. He knows why he's past relationships failed and he vows to do things better for her. How can you not swoon for man like that?
Rosanna is a feisty little thing. I love how she gives as good as she gets. She always takes care of Houston not just in the bedroom, but in every way possible. She loves him not because he's perfect on the outside but because she sees the man is on the inside.
And if you are looking for toe-curling sexiness, then these two are just what you need. They are hot, dirty, passionate, and irresistible. After spending time with these two you will need a couple of ice cold showers to cool down.
Undeniable is seductive read that will enrapture you and leave you breathless. I highly recommend you pick this sizzling book today.

Undeniable is book 4 in the Tortured Love series by Ravenna Tate and is the story of Houston Cassidy, a homicide detective, and Rosanna Selim, a paralegal for the Graves Law Firm, both located in Cleveland. Their love affair is the stuff of fairytales. A chance meeting, an immediate attraction, and a hot, sexy relationship that quickly develops. What more could a couple ask for, right?
But complications soon arrive. There's an inactive case, Houston's first case when he became a detective, which was never solved and involved the murder of a young college man found in a snowy field with no clues as to his killer. The case remains in the inactive files but it has haunted Houston for the past 12 years. His partner, Annie Walters, comes across a clue they've never seen before...on social media of all places! Houston jumps at the chance to solve the case that "got away," and he and Annie take off in an attempt to locate a clue, any clue, that will lead them to the murderer. Unfortunately, when one clue leads to another and then another, what they find does not make Houston happy. Quite the contrary, in fact. He soon begins to dread the truth but he knows he has to solve this case.
Meanwhile, Rosanna is happier than she has ever been. She has found the man of her dreams. He's handsome, loving, caring. Sure, he's a detective and works unreasonably long hours. And he's been married and divorced three times. But they're in love, true love, and she's over-the-moon about this man. She has a job that she adores and the old saying, "All's right with the world," certainly applies.
The same night that Houston learns of the new lead on the old case, he and Rosanna have dinner and are joking and talking as normal. He teases her about her job, nothing new, just the same playful banter they've had before. She teases him back. But when he asks, again, if it bothers her to work for a law firm that defends criminals...rapists, thieves, arsonists and such...it brings the same response it always does, a flash of darkness, almost like a cloud of gray/black, that flits through her mind. It's like a heavy weight that comes from nowhere. It's nothing new, nothing important. It's been happening for years, just momentary bursts when she feels the weight of something in her mind, but then they're gone as if they never happened. She's become used to them. They're more of a nuisance than anything else.
That evening Houston also brings up the old case, describing it in very general terms since he can't give details. While she listens to him talk, the flash of darkness returns. Only this time it's heavier, darker, than in the past. It makes her uneasy in a way she's never felt before. But she tries her best to put it out of her mind and, once again, she dismisses it and moves on. Shortly thereafter, however, Rosanna has a nightmare of being chased down a dark hallway, running from someone, a boy. She tries finding the stairs so she can escape but every time she reaches the stairs, they disappear. Her phone suddenly wakes her. She is trembling and frightened. She's never had a dream like this before and wants to remember while she still can so she makes notes, trying to recapture every detail. She doesn't realize she's about to fall down a rabbit hole and her life will never be the same.
Undeniable is a riveting thriller/erotic romance that will keep you glued to your chair (or bed, as in my case). I was so engrossed in the story that I didn't want to put it down and read far into the night attempting to finish it. Unfortunately, I had to wait until the next day but it was well worth the wait! To say that Ravenna Tate is a master of both suspense and erotic romance at the same time would be an understatement. I won't give any spoilers here but the story is engaging, romantic, sexy, at times heartbreaking and totally captivating. If you enjoy this genre, you will definitely LOVE Undeniable.
In closing, I would like to make a personal comment. This is an amazing book but it is also an ADULT book. It contains explicit language and explicit sexual scenes. If you do not enjoy thriller/mysteries with erotic romance and sexual scenes then please carefully consider your purchase before starting this entire series. PLEASE DO NOT BUY ANY BOOK IN A GENRE YOU KNOW YOU WILL NOT ENJOY AND THEN LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW OF THE BOOK AS IT IS NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works hard to provide a quality work product and if you know before you purchase a book that you will object to the subject matter contained in the book, you will be doing not only yourself, but the author, an extreme disservice.
Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!

Rosanna is happy with Houston but something she can't put her finger on keeps her from completely committing to him. When he tells her about a 12 year old case he is working on, she starts remembering things from years ago. And the more she remembers, the more scared she is it will cause her to loose Houston. This story ripped me from the inside and I even had to walk away for a bit. It's intense, dramatic and what we find out Rosanna went through all those years ago is horrific! What will happen to both Rosanna and Houston? Will they get to the bottom of the mysterious death and be able to live happily ever after?
Ravenna Tate is an automatic buy for me because her stories are so well written that you are drawn right into them. Do yourself a favor and get this book!!
