Not Just Friends, 1

One drunken night, Shoshanna Clarke let her inhibitions go and said yes to Toby Mason. Sleeping with the town bad boy ends up completely changing her life.

Toby finally got the girl he wanted, despite the fact she doesn’t know it yet. She’s a good girl, and Toby is known for being a bad boy. But before Toby can tell Shoshanna he wants her for more than that one night, he has to leave town due to his father’s death.

When Shoshanna finds out she is pregnant, she has no way to tell Toby he’s the father. It isn’t until Toby’s return that she must finally face reality and tell him everything.

Can Toby put his bad boy ways behind him and give Shoshanna and his baby what they both deserve?

Excerpt:

Slipping her hands between their bodies, she started tugging on his belt. But faster than she anticipated Toby stopped her. He pulled away, his warm, minty breath coasting over her lips.

“Why did you stop?” Even she could hear how needy she sounded. His gaze was on her lips, and his erection pressed against her belly.

“If we don’t stop I’m liable not to control myself and take you right here.” He said the words, and she could hear the heat and arousal laced with them.

Sliding her hands up his tattooed arms and stopping at his biceps, she gave him a light squeeze. “Just kiss me.” She moved an inch closer until her breasts were pressed against his hard chest. She noticed the way his breathing changed to a faster, labored beat. He closed his eyes and groaned, but didn’t respond verbally. Then he cupped her face and kissed her until she couldn’t think straight.

“I want you, baby,” he murmured against her lips. “But we should talk as well.” He pulled back but kept his gaze locked on hers. “You have no fucking clue how much I want this right now.”

To solidify his words he gripped her wrists in one of his hands and moved it between their bodies. Her palm came in contact with his rock hard cock. Feeling for his zipper with her fingers, she slowly pulled it down once she found it.

His grip tightened on her wrist, and then he slowly loosened his hold and stared into her eyes. Shoshanna slowly brought his zipper down and it sounded obscenely loud, but she refused to stop. Slipping her hand through the fly and through his boxer briefs, she felt the hot and hard length of his shaft. The piercing at the tip was warmed from his body heat and clothing, and she moved her thumb off the crown, smearing his pre-cum around. When she wrapped her fingers around him she loved that the tips didn’t touch. His chest rose and fell fast and hard, and he lifted his arm and placed his hand on the wall beside her head. The wetness that coated her panties caused the material to press against her pussy, rubbing along her folds and teasing her clit. Shoshanna licked her lips and pulled his shaft out from the confines of the material. He closed his eyes when she started stroking him from root to tip, and a tingling sensation slammed into her pussy. “Kiss me, Toby—”

He didn’t let her finish the words before his mouth was on hers and his tongue slipped past her lips. His cock felt like it swelled in her grasp. When he groaned and jerked his hips forward that tingling intensified and moved up to her nipples. He didn’t stop kissing her as he started a slow, steady thrust of his hips in her grasp. He fucked himself in her hand while he devoured her mouth.

He moved the hand that wasn’t beside her head lower until he had one aching and full breast in his big palm. It felt so unbelievably good as he moved his fingers over her nipple, not doing anything more than torturously teasing the stiff peak.  “Oh, God Toby, you’re making me feel so good.”

“I’m just starting with you, baby, and I don’t have any intentions of ending any time soon.”

Fantastic read
Written by Elizabeth Clinton on 1st Mar 2015

What can I say but loved this book. Toby and Shoshanna's story is definitely one that will warm your heart. The two have known each other since they were younger Shoshanna being the "nerdy smart girl " and Toby being the All macho jock that every girl wants. Years past and Shoshanna being more mature and looking for the happiness she deserves.Seeing Toby one night out and all the feelings from the past come rushing back still good looking but now the "bad boy" about town. But can a one night stand cure all or is it a mistake. Rollercoaster of angst and emotion happen but all you wish is that can the "nerd girl" and the "bad boy" find that HEA

More then friends
Written by Lisa M on 1st Mar 2015

I don't normally read second chance love type books and not sure if I would put this in that category or not, but is was by Jenika and I don't pass her books up, I almost missed it. So glad I didn't! Shoshanna and Toby know each other in passing in high school and even though there is a connection Shoshanna runs from it. Good girl, meets bad boy and she gets scared kind of thing. Five years later they meet again and have an amazing night that ends with a surprise for each of them. This is one of those books that make you cry because you can feel the emotions of the people you are reading about. It's a quick read but I love those and it doesn't take away from the quality of the book. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

It really was Shoshanna's best mistake. Toby has been waiting for a chance with Shoshanna for years and he finally gets it and tries to make the most of it. This was a really good story and I look forward to reading more by Jenika!

I loved this book
Written by Rhonda on 24th Feb 2015

I LOVED this book. Yeah, it was short but it was sexy and steamy. I really liked the fact that Toby and Shoshanna had a chance to grow up a bit before they slept together. Bad boys can change for the woman they love. Now we just need Ace's story.

As an avid reader of Jenika Snow knowing her writing style and how she usually makes the chemistry flow. I was looking forward to this book. It was a little fast paced that is why I gave 4 and not 5 stars. I loved the chemistry tho you can feel the relationship come to life! It is a short read with some fire. I adore Jenika and her work and can't wait to read the next in this series.

Very good and worth the read!
Written by Romantic Bookaholic on 24th Feb 2015

For a short story, the plot moves at a fast pace but it is still very entertaining. The main thing that I always look for is the depth of the characters. And author, Jenika Snow, has done a fabulous job creating two characters that you just fall in love with. For such a short story, you get very dynamic and well rounded characters. You feel every emotion that they feel. I hope that we get to see Ace's story!

Another series I'm going have to wait for to see what happens. I'm thinking I should stop waiting for series, because it drives me crazy until I know what's going to happen.

The good, the bad, and the love
Written by Kindle Customer Vera Quinn on 24th Feb 2015

Toby Mason was the typical, bad boy ,all-star jock, male slut of high school. He had the typical high school cheerleader, snooty, girlfriend. They were part of the popular. Shoshanna was not in the popular crowd. She was a quite, reserved, and nerdy type of girl. She excelled in all her school work. Because she was quiet, dressed different and her family had money she was labeled as being snobbish. Toby had demons he was dealing with. His attitude was changing. All of a sudden, he was noticing Shoshanna. He wanted o get to know her. She couldn't believe it. She couldn't understand why her. But she felt drawn to him. He invited her to a party. He thought she wasn't coming. He couldn't stop thinking about her. She ends up finding him in his room that night. They talk and he decides he isn't good enough for her and she can't forget he has a girlfriend. After five years they run into each other at a bar. The attraction has only gotten stronger. This is great love story. Toby and Shoshanna have so much natural attraction and heat. Her Best Mistake is a great read! Job well done Jenika Snow. Thank you for all your hard work.

A bad, bad boy ;),
Written by Krystal Fahl as NADBB on 24th Feb 2015

This book was fabulous! I loved that it was a love story and not full of angst and a bunch of obstacles that kept them apart. There was no jealous ex, no strife and fights. There was tragedy in Toby's family but it only added to letting their feelings for each be known. I love how Shoshanna grew into herself, and didn't stay stuck in the past. Toby has a touch of the dark side in his sexuality and I loved it! Nothing I love more then an Alpha more! And Jenika delivers on that 1000% in every one of her books!!!

Her Bad Boy
Written by VidaB on 23rd Feb 2015

This was a fantastic read from start to finish. Shoshanna has always had a crush on the delectable Toby unfortunately she didn't know that the feelings were returned until they meet up at a party and Toby reveals how he truly feels. Shoshanna who is scared, runs off because the feelings between the pair is too intense. Fast forward years later and the two are still explosive when their together and one night leads to a life changing moment for the two. Once again Jenika's got a way of pulling you into her world with creative storytelling and deliciously dirty talking bad boys while having you anticipating the next book because there's this wonderful cast of characters that you just want to know more about. Bravo Jenika I'm ready for Ace and Lauren!!!
