Romance on the Go TM

Griffen Rogers has a fulfilling career he loves, and a partnership with a man who makes him happy. Still, despite a life most people only dream of, Griffen is convinced that monogamy is for fools. And it’s forced his lover of three years, Leandro, to question their commitment.

A sexy new boss, Ryker Sloan, arrives on the job and things get a little more complicated for Griffen.  Will Griffen’s attraction to the new boss lead him down a road of temptation and regret, or will it reinforce his bond with Leandro—the man he may just want to spend the rest of his life with?

Be Warned: m/m sex, multiple partners

Excerpt:

But now here I was with my hot, new boss looking at me like a glazed donut in a police station. I was tempted but unsure what to do about it. But then Ryker stood and took my hand, guiding me to my feet. My heart was pounding so hard I was afraid I was going to hyperventilate. The look in his eyes was dangerous. He didn’t look like my calm and cool boss anymore. He looked turned on and motivated to do something about it.

He pulled me slowly up against his body and I could feel him hard against my thigh. My dick was rigid and constricted in my pants as it brushed against him. His heated mouth covered mine, in a strong, bruising kiss. The sweet honey tones of the whiskey and the push of his tongue between my lips had me struggling to hang onto my fragile control.

He lifted his mouth from mine. “Are you going to feel guilty if we fool around?”

Leandro’s soulful eyes appeared in my mind. But then Ryker cupped my straining cock with his hand, and lust barreled through me like a freight train. We aren’t exclusive. I don’t have to feel guilty. I hesitated and then Ryker dropped to his knees in front of me and his hands went to my zipper. I would be lying if I said my brain had a rational thought from that point on.

Ryker eased my zipper down and then he stuck his warm hand inside, guiding my folded dick out and growling deep in his throat at the sight. I hissed as his mouth engulfed the tip, and then swallowed more of my length into his warm and tight throat.

“Shit, shit, shit,” I ground out between my teeth.

I buried my fingers in his dark locks and rocked into his mouth in time with his exquisite sucking. My God, he knew his way around a man’s cock. His suction and technique were ridiculously good as he bobbed up and down on me. I felt a prickling at the base of my dick as he lapped at me relentlessly. It was like pushing into the softest, warmest vortex, and my thigh muscles burned with the strain of stopping myself from pounding into him freely. He was so good at sucking me to the edge, and just as my throbbing flesh was about to let loose, he’d ease off and let the lust swell slowly again.

He paused a moment and I tried to open my eyes to see why, but I was buried so deep in the sensations of his hot lips riding my dick I couldn’t see well. I heard his zipper and when I glanced down through blurry eyes I saw him stroking his wide, glistening cock. Then he put his beautiful, dewy mouth on me again and licked and pulled on my dick as if it held the most precious nectar imaginable.

Not going to lie, I love reading about love triangles. There is something about a main character being torn between two lovers that I love reading about. S.C. Wynne’s super short story, “The New Boss” features a triangle of sorts and, for less than fifty pages, left me with a humongous grin. Griffen has been in a casual/friends with benefits relationship with Leandro for three years. Griffen has been burned by his lovers in the past and is not interested in the big C…commitment. His new boss, Ryker strolls in and it is instant lust. Since Griffen is not in a committed relationship, he makes a move with his boss. But he can’t seem to get Leandro out of his head when he was never there to begin with…right? Since this story was not long, I figured it’d be a fun easy ride. Yes, there were minor bumps but overall, this is was satisfying read. the story is told from Griffen’s POV, first person in case you’re wondering. We get to see he’s selfish but overall a good enough guy. And his boss, Ryker, is dynamic and seems to weave a lust filled charm over Griff. The story does not get too deep because it is from the Romance from the Go series. I liked what was given. Would I have minded a couple extra pages? Nope. I kind of got swept in the triangle and was surprised how it progressed and how it ended. The surprising fave character was Leandro. At first I thought he was going to be annoying but as I read more about him, he’s a solid dude. And he hooked me with his impassioned speech. This was a great in-between read. Nothing that will rack your brain when you need uncomplicated but it is not fluff for those not looking for sugary glitter. I am most certainly going to check out more work from this author.
