Loved it
I loved this book. It was so well written and very enjoyable to read! The chemistry was great and the story was awesome

Seeing her laid out before him, looking at him like he was the only man in the world, made him feel ten feet tall and about had him coming in his jeans.
Cain turned and lay back down against her on the bed. He descended, taking her mouth in a drugging kiss.
“Please, Cain.”
He murmured soothingly as his mouth trailed down, biting down on the sensitive spot between her neck and shoulder, compelling a rough sound to burst from her throat before he moved further down to take her nipple into his mouth and sucked strongly. All the while, his hand caressed her, learning what she liked and didn’t.
“Oh, God…” she moaned.
He chuckled against her neck, making her body shiver.
His hand went to her jeans, quickly unsnapping and unzipping them, then pulling them down. He sat up, pulled her shoes off, followed shortly by her jeans and panties. Cain lay back down against her, his hands roaming, never staying in one place long enough, frustrating her and making her beg.
Finally, his fingers found her wetness, delving in, lightly stroking, and putting light pressure on her clit, making her hips jerk against his hand. A whimper escaped her throat when he slipped a large, blunt finger inside her, only to pull out and replace it with two, sending all her nerve endings into a riot.
She was stretched, penetrated, but her cries told him she needed more. She arched into him.
“Cain!”
His breathing was labored against her throat.
“I know, Baby, I’ll make the ache stop.” He continued to press into her body, scissoring his fingers, stretching her enough to take him without pain. She was so tiny, she would definitely hold him tight, like a glove, but he’d make sure there was no pain. The image of her taking him nearly made him come. He knew he had to get inside her soon or he’d go mad.
Cain’s mouth trailed from her neck, taking a pebbled nipple into his mouth, sucking vigorously and pulling a deep moan from her. His hand slid upward, wanting to give her other nipple attention, when he felt the ridge on her stomach. Raising his head, he noted the scar where the bullet had gone into her and the surgical line the doctors had to make to be able to get the bullet out. It looked almost obscene against her soft, white skin. When she glanced up at him with a curious look, he moved his hand away. He didn’t want her to remember that night Drew died, so he continued his journey of her body.
“God, Jessa, you’re so fucking beautiful,” he whispered roughly. His heated gaze traveled down her body. Her long, dark hair with just a bit of curl spread out over the bed. She had skin like a baby’s, soft and white. Her body was compact but in perfect proportion. Her breasts were round and high, topped with dark-pink nipples. His eyes trailed down to the neat triangle of hair at the junction of her thighs.
She was spread out like a feast. At another time, when he had the strength, he’d take the time to taste everything he wanted. Right then, he needed to be inside her. He needed to bind them together as tightly as possible.
He stood and shed his jeans and boxers, snatched a condom out of his jeans pocket, and dropped the clothes to the floor. He watched Jessa’s eyes run over his body, taking in everything. He smiled at her look of awe, then shock, when her eyes slid down his body, finally locking onto his manhood.
Cain slid into the bed beside her, murmuring softly to her when he noticed the look of shock had turned to apprehension. He stroked her, soothed her with his voice and touch. His head bent, taking a nipple into his mouth, sucking firmly, gaining a startled cry from her. Cain spent long minutes on her breasts until she withered against him.
He slid the condom on and settled between her thighs, tucking her delicate body under his much more powerful one.
Jessa sighed and reached for him. She desperately needed to feel the heaviness of his weight on her. Her hands roamed everywhere she could reach, exploring all the hard muscle under his musky, hot skin. Jessa lifted her head as she pulled him down so she could taste him, licking and nipping at his neck.
Swearing, he caught her hands and raised them over her head, pinning them to the pillow.
“I can’t take it, Baby. Just hold on until I get inside you.” He held her wrists with one hand and slid the other between their bodies because he needed to find out if she was truly ready for him. He groaned when he found her wet heat, slick with desire.
He positioned himself and pushed in against her body’s resistance. Her eyes lost focus, and her breathing came in short puffs as her body adjusted to his invasion. He could tell it was uncomfortable for her, and he slowed down because the last thing he wanted to do was give her pain.
“Hush, it’s okay, just let me get in you, and then I’ll make the ache go away.” He dipped his head again, taking her mouth, and thrust his tongue deep as he tried to take her mind off his penetration.
He lifted his head at her sound of distress and relaxed when he found desire-filled need and not pain was the cause.
“Easy, Jessa, I’m almost there.” He was as gentle with her as he could be, using the tone of his voice and words to calm her. He wanted this to be the best sexual experience she’d ever had, hoping to tether them tighter together. The closer they got, the deeper their bond, the better he’d feel.
“Take me, please, Cain. I need you,” she said through clenched teeth. Her entire body throbbed. The pain of acute arousal mixed with overwhelming pleasure.
Cain slowly, carefully, pushed into her an inch at a time. He’d pull out only to advance farther in with the next stroke.
Cain’s face showed the strain of holding back, his jaw was set, and his neck corded. Finally, with a last push, he was entirely inside her. His head dropped onto the pillow by her head.
Both of them groaned at the depth of his penetration. He held himself frozen, afraid that if he moved, he would explode.
After a minute, with a deep breath, he pulled out slowly, only to push back in, going as deep as he could. One of his hands held her head still for his mouth, and the other glided down her body, to curve around her ass to tilt her hips up to take him deeper.
Jessa whimpered at the deeper angle, and her arms came up to clutch his broad shoulders.

Loved it
I enjoyed reading the characters Jessa and Cain. This story does not disappoint. Its spicy,intense, suspenseful, secrets. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Desperate Temptations by Lila Fox
This was a totally different read as there were so many twists and turns you never knew where this book would take you. I enjoyed it and was totally hooked and couldn't put it down. Nothing more fun to read when you get the mc is so closed off and the fmc is his weakness and the one that can get through to him. These two were so cute together while they fought through everything from their personal nightmares and demons to coming together and making each other better. This is a must read!!

Hot & Steamy
Another great story from the author and this time we are taken into the lives of Jessa and Cain. I loved their bond but also that they could talk well together. A storyline that keeps you glued to your book with a number of twists and turns and enough hot and steamy scenes.

Desperate Temptations!
This author is upping her game in this story about Jessa and Cain. It is a bit longer than this authors usual stories, very addictive and captivating. Jessa’s husband is murdered, she is grieving and determined to find his killer no matter the risk to her. A cop, who was a friend of her husband is worried about her and the risks she is taking. He tries to warn her off of her crazy and reckless behavior. She is on a stake out hen she is grabbed and hauled away by a beast of a man who knows her name. Cain has loved her from a far and makes her a promise, if she will keep one for him. There are some misunderstandings, danger, miscommunications, doubt, suspicion, passion, guilt, secrets, lack of trust and much more that transpire. Very addictive read and very enjoyable. Love the twists and turns in this story.

Whoa this was wonderful
This book was wonderful. I was addicted to the character from the beginning and couldn't stop reading. The heroine has had a tough go but when the hero arrives on the scene the chemistry.

Her Future
Caine was the best friend of Jessa’s husband and after he was murdered she was on a mission to find out who killed him. He was supposed to scare her but he had loved her for so long he knew he wouldn’t be able to walk away from her. Together they rebuild her spirit and meld their souls as they uncover the mysteries surrounding her husband’s death. Steamy and an emotional adventure that ends in the most beautiful HEA

Flawed characters and a dark story
Jessa and Cain ‘meet’ a couple of years after her husband is murdered. This was not a sweet romance, by any means. This was complex, dark and a little controversial, with a little dubious con/non-con action, and some spice (even though it’s not overly detailed). Did I say it was dark? I picked it fairly early, but geez… the way the author spun it… horrible and nasty and had you on your toes. She wrote a flawed heroine, highly independent but still needy, and a hero who was all in (at any cost). Enjoyable read, but be prepared for some dubious actions from the MMC in his journey to get the woman he loves.

Desperate Temptation
This was so not what I was expecting. The chemistry between the main characters is great, maybe it’s because they bicker and argue over everything. He’s closed off at first but she definitely brings out another side to him. There is never a dull moment in this book. I read it in one sitting it was so good. It never went the way I had been thinking. There are some great twist in here. Don’t miss out on this book. Lila Fox has a unique way of writing that drags you in and even if this book is different than the ones I have read of hers in the past, her ability to captivate her readers doesn’t.
