“Hey, wait!”
Luke turned around to see Ezra sprinting towards him. “So, this is a bit of a surprise.”
“You can say that again.” Luke adjusted the scarf.
Ezra smiled but didn’t mention it. “I thought you said you worked in marketing.”
Oh, he’s mad at me for bending the truth?
“Marketing isn’t that much of a stretch from publicity,” he said. “Unlike saying you’re a regular guy, a Kevin, but instead you’re a big Hollywood star.” He was being way too defensive. Stop, calm down. Go get that fresh air.
Luke took a deep breath and, before Ezra had a chance to reply, said, “Want to walk in the gardens with me? I need a little air.”
“Sure.” Ezra smiled. Luke’s heart fluttered. Ezra had the perfect smile. Figures.
They walked in easy silence for a few minutes, taking in the sights. The lush green of the perfectly-mowed grass, the ancient statues, the vast array of flowers, with Luke’s eyes drawn to the snowdrops that framed much of the gardens like the frame of a painting.
“Oh wow,” Ezra breathed.
“You must see the most incredible places all the time,” Luke countered.
“Mmm, not really. I get to do a lot of traveling I suppose, but I’m always working so I don’t get the downtime to explore much.”
“I prefer to stay in town. I’m not really much of an adventurer.”
“Homebody, huh? I do love our hometown, you know. Don’t go thinking I don’t. I just haven’t had the time to visit much,” said Ezra as he stroked a flower with a smile. “Besides, I walked past your place the other day, and I’m pretty sure your garden is just as immaculate as this one.”
Luke flushed at the compliment. “Thanks, I try.” The thought of Erza being so close to his house made his palms sweat.
They came to a small fountain. There stood a statue of Cupid with his bow and arrow. He smiled down upon them.
“Okay, can we just break the ice? We are standing in front of the God of Love, for fuck’s sake.”
Luke’s heart beat a little faster. This was the first time he’d heard Ezra sound so defensive and strong. He liked it.
Ezra placed his hands on his shoulders so that they faced each other. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done it, and I’m sorry. Do you think you can forgive me, and we can move on from this?”
Ezra’s hands were still on his shoulders. Luke nodded. His words seemed to have temporarily left him. Besides, what did he mean? Move on and be friends? Never speak again? Try again? Go out on a date?

His Movie Star Love is a sweet, feel-good MM romance about second chances and unexpected reunions. Luke and Ezra’s reconnection is charming, with easy chemistry and low angst. If you enjoy celebrity romance mixed with warmth, humor, and a cozy happily-ever-after, this is a quick and enjoyable read.
This is a short novella by a new to me author and I really enjoyed the story it was a cute read about Ezra and Luke and I will keep a lookout for more from this author in the future.
The publicist and the movie star. *sigh* The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Plot was pretty straightforward. World building was solidly drawn. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!
His Movie Star Love is a quick read by Violet Stone. This is the first book I've ever read by this author. This is a sweet, funny romance with all tthe good feels. I wiil definitely be on the lookout for her work.
Luke is living his dream in the small town where he grew up, in the house he's always wanted (Rose Cottage). However, his love life is t going so well and the company he works at is having financial issues, unless he's able to sign a Star to their roster. A chance taken on a dating app changes things. Ezra used to live in the small town, but now is an actor. He's back home and decides to take a chance on a dating app... He's so happy to see that it's Luke- he had a crush on him in school, but neither knew the other is gay. This was a quick read with spice and a cute little small town story.
This was so cute! Luke and Ezra are perfect together. This is my first book by this author and she did a fantastic job with this and I will definitely be checking out more from her. I laughed twice in just the first chapter, which was only like 4 pages. I had quite a few laughs throughout it too. Just little things that I thought were funny, mostly inner thoughts that the characters were thinking. I like how the author added little details that made it so you could imagine what was happening without overdoing it to the point it felt repetitive or unnecessary. By little details, I mean details that don’t necessarily need to be added, but make it a bit more immersive. Quoting something she wrote as an example of that, is that she wrote “The shuffling of papers and squeaking of chairs indicated everyone was filing out.” Or even how after that, she mentions how Luke turned off the office lights on the way out before heading home. Just tiny things that aren’t usually written (in the books I read, in any case) because it’s the type of things that you’d assume was happening anyway even if it’s not expressly written. I found it interesting how chapter 8 (approx. 66% through) was six months later before the epilogue (chapter 10) which was 1 year later. I think adding that extra skip of time in the middle to show more of how their relationship was progressing before getting to the epilogue helped to make the story not feel rushed while still being able to include a good amount of information. The book ends at about 89%. I think the only things that felt missing for me, was that 1, I would have loved to actually have gotten the proposal. It is hinted at at the end, but I would love to know how Ezra actually decides to propose. 2, while we get to see how Luke and Ezra handle Ezra’s fame together, we really don’t see how the fans felt about Luke and I think that would have been an interesting add in. And 3, Ezra mentions how he had had a crush on Luke since they were in school together and while he does eventually tell Luke, we don’t get Luke’s thoughts or feelings on that matter. None of these things are really necessary, but I think they would have been a great addition to the story. Overall, this was a great book and I’m happy to have found a new to me author that I enjoy. Ezra and Luke cute together and a great match. ~~~ I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. ~~~

A good read Firstly, let me just say this is my first book from this author and I will be keeping an eye out for her in future. I’ve got to say overall it was definitely a cute read Ezra kind of catfish himself so he could meet up with Luke who he had a massive crush on that school when he was younger and if honestly Luke is not impressed by being catfish so this is all about them coming together and working together. Thankfully they both had good friends who hit it off in this book. I know the book ends giving us a happy ending but I wish we got to see their engagement party or the wedding.
