Awesome read
Maya and Carter now own Hodgepodge, a shop for their arts and crafts as well as selling some of the local artisans stuff. Carter is an amazing woodworker. The store opened first by their grandfather and then their parents took over, and now Maya and Carter take care of everything. Although, Maya went to college for Art History, she didn’t complete her degree because her parents passed. Their honorary Aunt, Sue, comes 2 or 3 times a year for a visit and acts as their mom, and she is a successful salesperson. Jake has always had a very regimented life, schedules are pretty much his life’s blood. Until he ends up in Maya’s town. The things that take him out of his comfort zone changes him and he and Maya hook up, but their feelings are engaged. He continues on, to where he will be working with his father and his friend who have run the company for over 25 years. Anton is Billie’s dad and Billie is a riot. She throws Chaos at Jake and he tries to keep her on the straight and narrow. While in Maya’s town, he makes a wish at the Wishing Well, which changes his life and Maya’s forever. I totally loved this book, although, I still want to hit Jake a few times for not going back to visit. I can’t wait to see if anything happens between Carter and Billie. The kids are so cute in this book. I could watch them forever!
