The Skulls, 2

Tate Johnson is the daughter of the motorcycle club leader and has decided The Skulls has hurt her one too many times. Moving out of her home and cutting her ties from the only family she knows, she starts a life for herself, hoping to create new memories.

Murphy abandoned Tate for the sake of the club, but now he’s back, determined to win the love she once felt for him. But, Tate’s not letting go without a fight. She’s stubborn and refuses to listen to him.

The Club is in lockdown when two local cops are killed. An attack is ordered on Tate, but no one knows the identity of the person intent on taking down The Skulls and controlling the town of Fort Wills. No one is safe as the club is compromised. Lives are lost, people are hurt, and some will never be the same again. Everything comes down to Murphy, and he has to make a choice.

He can save his club … or his woman. Which will he choose?

Excerpt:

Swallowing past her nerves, she reached behind her loosening the zipper holding her dress together. If she gave herself to him then maybe she could finally move on and not spend her life dwelling on what might have been.

“Tate, what are you doing?” he asked.

“What does it look like I’m doing?” She wiggled out of the dress until it fell at her feet. Stepping out of the dress, she kicked it aside. Removing her bra, she threw that on top of the dress, facing him completely naked. Next, she released her hair from the clip binding her hair. “I’m getting ready to be fucked.”

He didn’t move or say anything. Smiling, she stepped closer. His jacket was on the floor, revealing his tattooed arms. She’d sat with him through each tattoo. Running her hands up his arms, she caressed over each design. They were intricate, beautiful, and they brought back memories of watching his body be marked.

“Tate.” He said her name as if he was going to tell her stop.

Gripping the top if his shirt, she tore it from his body, cutting through his warning. She wasn’t going to stop. Tonight she was going to have her one night with him.

“Where’s Kelsey and Eva?” she asked.

“Tiny and Killer are taking care of them.”

“Will Killer hurt her?”

“No.”

“Good,” she said, grabbing his buckle. “We’re doing this tonight. Tell me you don’t want to, and I’ll stop. We’ll stop, and nothing else happens.”

Opening the buckle she pushed his jeans down his thighs revealing his thick cock to her touch.

She touched him, wrapping her fingers around his length and started to work him over. “Tell me to stop, Murphy. Turn around, walk out the door, and it’ll be over. No more fighting, no problems.”

Pick the club and walk away from me.

Tate didn’t say the other words, but she thought them. Staring into his dark gaze she waited for him to still her movements. Holding her breath, she stared at him waiting.

Time seemed to stand still while she waited for him to speak.

He reached up, cupping her cheek with one hand as the other covered hers over his cock. “Harder,” he said.

Tightening her grip around his shaft, she worked him over as he pushed the jeans from his body.

“No past between us tonight.”

“Fine.”

Glancing down his body, she gasped as she caught sight of the slightly red skin around his abdomen. Her name was printed into his skin, and from the looks of it, he’d done it recently.

Not tonight. Don’t question it tonight.

Sex.

She pushed her curiosity away and looked up at him. Her experience with men was a big fat zero. A dildo did as she asked without any argument. Murphy wasn’t cold rubber. He was all male.

Of course, I loved this book! What’s not to love? It was everything that I wanted it to be in a story. Murphy is a great story that hooked me from beginning to end. All of the characters were awesome. I simply must read about each one of them. Murphy, our hero, was so hot. I want one just like him! Murphy and Tate had an electrifying chemistry together, even when they were fighting, but especially in the sizzling hot love scenes. Tate was a bit of a brat in the beginning, though I later found out that they had some bad history together. She gave him her heart and then it looked like he threw it away. She had very good reasons for making her man earn back the trust he had destroyed. I felt that Murphy was absolutely perfect though. Everything he did was to protect Tate and the club. He proved it in so many ways. Who could resist a man like that ? Not me ! Tate was strong, though, and she really made him work for it. I loved her too. This book had everything including lots of great characters that made me want to join their club. The love scenes were so memorable. They were very explicit with some anal and toys as Murphy showed Tate that he owned her body as well as her heart. The suspense was fantastic. Danger loomed from a rival MC with some nasty connections. The book had a lot of things going on, great action and nice sub-plots that I can’t wait for the author to explore. That’s what I like about series books. I get sucked in and want to know everyone’s story. That’s exactly what happened with this book. Bottom line: This book was just about perfect in my opinion, with only a few editing mistakes. I found some odd phrases that should have been worded differently in order to be correct. I had to stop reading for a moment to take another look and see if my eyes were deceiving me. Though this was annoying, it in no way detracted from the great plot. The plot was good. It had a great story, and I easily connected with the characters. I absolutely loved the hot bikers. The story had plenty of action both in and out of the bedroom. It even had a few funny moments within the drama and action. I can’t wait to watch Eva take on Tiny. I loved this one, and I can’t wait to check out more books in the series. The next book up for me is Nash. It’s looking like I’m in for a wild ride with that one. Murphy was a great read for me. I enjoyed it immensely and have no problem recommending it to everyone.

Murphy was awesome!
Written by Angie on 6th Dec 2013

I loved reading Tate and Murphy's story. Murphy gave up a lot for Tate. It took Tate awhile to realize what Murphy had done. Tate threw a fit and went to Vegas with Eva and her new friend Kelsey. Tate met her uncle Alex there. Once back home there someone tries to shoot Tate. Rose talks to Tate and Tate finally starts to realize everything that Murphy has done for her. We get to see more of Nash and Kate's sister Sophia. We also meet Killer and Kelsey, and of course the drama between Tiny and Eva. Eva is very interesting and I am hoping we get to hear more about her. This series just keeps getting better. I am looking forward to reading Nash's story.
