Outlaw MC, 7

What if bad guys ruled the world and the good guys were the outlaws?

The war on Mars is almost over. A small band of peacekeepers are hiding from the Outlaw MC. Grim has hidden his past from the club since he joined. He punishes himself for his old sins—no relationships, no friends, nothing but taking the government down. Then he meets a member’s brother.

Valentine just escaped from the prison on Earth. He’s too young for Grim but that doesn’t stop the pull between them. As the club hunts down the last of the peacekeepers, Grim and Valentine give in to their passion. It isn’t until after that the truth about Grim's past comes out.

Can lies be forgiven as the peace of Mars is shattered?

Be Warned: m/m sex, public exhibition, multiple partners

Excerpt:

“Valentine. You’re naked on my bike.”

I froze. The darkness faded as I opened my eyes. I was actually confused at first. Where the fuck was I? Son of a bitch! Did I sleepwank again? I glanced down. Yeah, yeah I did. I was completely naked sitting astride Grim’s bike. The land was still dark around us.

“You awake now?”

My face heated as I unwrapped my fingers from my very erect shaft and used both hands to cover my junk. The bike was smooth and slick against my bare ass and balls. “Hey,” I muttered and hopped off the bike. I stepped behind it, securely hiding my nudity, before glancing at Grim. He was sitting up on the blanket with a bemused expression on his face.

“So you…masturbate in your sleep?”

I wanted to sink into the sand. This was one of those awkward moments that made me cringe and want to sink into the ground. “I…um…have a kind of condition. Trauma or something.”

He lifted a blond eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest.

“It’s complicated.”

“I just watched you stand up, take all your clothes off, straddle my bike and start pumping your dick.”

I flatted my lips together and then slowly nodded. “Yeah. I fucking sleepwank.”

A rumble of laughter drifted from Grim. It got louder. He doubled over.

“It’s not that funny.”

“You do this all the time?” He was smiling wide.

It was a nice look. “No.” I sighed. Well, I wanted to show him my dick anyway. I rounded the bike, still covering what dignity I had left and grabbed my shirt. I placed that over my lower portion and plopped down next to him. “If I go to bed horny sometimes my body just wakes up without me and…gets the job done.”

Grim started laughing again. So hard that tears sprang out of his eyes. He wiped them away quickly and cleared his throat.

Grim wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me next to him. “I wasn’t expecting to wake up to that.” He ran a hand over his face. “I thought you heard something then you started stripping.”

I leaned so I could get closer to him. The only thing keeping my dick from rubbing up against him was my shirt. “How long did you wait to wake me up?”

He winked. “Not long.”

“Yeah?” Fuck it. I went with ballsy again, since it paid off last time and shifted so I could straddle him. My dick lay against his torso, still hidden by the shirt. It was the last barrier between us. Well, that and his clothes. “You let me get on the bike so you must have waited quite a while.” I placed my hands on Grim’s wide chest.

“I like naked guys on my bike.”

“Is that so?” I asked as I closed the gap between us. I kissed him. Our tongues fought silently. “I want you, Grim.” I kissed his chin, my lips skimming along his hard jaw.

Grim slid his fingers into my hair and pulled until my neck was angled and I couldn’t touch him. “I haven’t had sex in a while either.”

“Grim, I’ve been in prison for five long, lonely years. I used my hand so much my fingers are permanently curved,” I joked.

He grunted then sighed. “You’re going to be the death of me.”

“Oh, but what a death it’ll be.” A chant started in my head: blowjob, blowjob, blowjob. I was so damn excited!

Grim leaned forward and latched his lips onto my neck like a bloodsucking creature. He pulled the skin into his mouth, making it sting as he loosened his hand. “Get on the bike.”

I lifted a brow. “Yeah?”

“I told you I liked naked men on my bike. Now.” He kissed my chin. “Get.” A kiss to my lips. “Your ass.” A lick along my jaw. “On the bike.” He let me go.

I scrambled naked to my feet, my cock bobbing as I made my way to his bike. I bent more than I had to and straddled the bike. Then I watched as Grim stood. His body was so tall; lengthy torso, elongated legs. It made me dream about what else was long. I waited anxiously as he tugged his shirt off. The cool bike exterior pressed against my balls. His chest was gorgeous. All muscle and those blue eyes of his looked brighter in the darkness around him. He surprised me with a tattoo on his chest. It was an X below his right pec. The edges were curved in bold black that was outlined in red. He took a few steps toward me and then toed off his boots. I reached down to rub my dick, pulling the foreskin back and exposing the sensitive head to the night air. My piss slit was smeared with pre-cum from all the damn anticipation.

“This is such a bad idea,” he murmured as he shoved his pants down his legs.

The Romance Reviews
Written by Book Addict on 8th Dec 2015

This series is addictive. In the latest installment, the resistance is getting closer to winning the war. The leader of the MC is also closer to getting his lover back from the prison located on Earth. This book features Valentine, the brother of Romeo who is in the MC. Valentine made a small error and is sent to the hell hole on Earth. Smarter than your average bear, Valentine can tell things are not going well on Earth and he hitches a ride back to Mars. After stowing away, he makes it back to find a much different Mars than he remembered. The pace of this story is fast and action packed, just how I like it. It is a bit surprising how quickly the villain is found and neutralized. Then again this is book number seven. The threads are all coming together. This one feels more like a set up for the next book to find Liam which would be nice. Liam keeps being mentioned and in this one, readers finally learn what is happening to him on Earth. It is not pretty. What is pretty is the relationship between Grim and Valentine. These two hotties burn up the sheets sans regard to those around them. Sometimes, it's better not to know about people's pasts. Sometimes, starting fresh and just focusing on the sex would be good. Unfortunately, the hot buttons for Valentine are pushed when Grim reveals his past. Seriously, Grim was up front about not hooking up yet Valentine still presses for it. Do not ask questions you do not want answers to… that is a good rule to follow when getting mixed up in a motorcycle club. The plot device helps to add tension, angry sex and make up sex. When Mr. Cox writes his throwdowns between two men, get ready for some panty wetting goodness. Recommended for m/m romance lovers who like bad boys doing bad things in the name of justice. - See more at: http://glbt.theromancereviews.com/viewbooksreview.php?bookid=19049#sthash.GTKpyyb6.dpuf

One of the areas I have enjoyed from these last few books is the connections Cox has added to tie the characters together. The book also tries to balance Valentine returning to Mars, the developing relationship between Grim, and the finale of the war. Cox continues with his signature style and the intimate scenes remain heated all of the way through. The conflict between Valentine and Grim is also well paced. This was the book that the series had been leading up to with the demise of the government and for me that scene had an anti-climatic feel. For a short story, there were a lot of areas vying for attention. Valentine was a great addition to the roster of characters, but his story line, together with revisiting former pairings and taking out the remaining peacekeepers, only allowed for the surface to be touched on each area. We also finally get some information on what may be Liam’s fate in prison on Earth and the promise of that storyline started to overshadow what was going on here. Cox excels with his group of alpha characters who have a sensitive side for the ones they love, but with the addition of a new pairing in each book and the advancement of the war on Mars it was a lot to try and cover in each short story. The entire series still remains an escape from the real world with strong men trying to balance out life and love on another planet.

The set up made me sit up. I was grinning on page one. It also didn’t take me long to like Valentine’s voice as the narrator of our story here. The prose is some of the best I’ve read from Cox. Nice flow and physical pace brought me immediately into the story, excited for the ride. He’s at his best when building anticipation like this, the rhythm fantastic and basically irresistible. One of my favorite relationships to be explored in literature, and life, is that between two brothers. We get that here with Valentine and Romeo. It’s quickly obvious how they feel about each other and the emotional stakes are upped as a result. Cox demonstrates moments of brilliance with his economic storytelling, providing meaty connections to which I can add my own. Add to the mix this thing between Valentine and Grim and you’ve got a great combination of story and character. These two could not be more opposite in so many ways and yet they work. I so enjoyed the winding indirect way their growing connection and attraction takes. Theirs has a feeling of unintentional pairing and I couldn’t keep from smiling. It’s quite a feat to portray the focused couple or possible couple-to-be as a surprise and Cox succeeds. I inhaled again, feeling chatty which was unusual for me. Grim seemed to put me at ease without even trying. The romance shines through. I’m tempted to rank this story as the most romantic in the series so far. Grim and Valentine have that “meant to be” kind of vibe. Is it to be the case? There are some surprising turns, leading to conflict, some to rather emotional high points, with all of this resulting in tension that remains taut throughout. In other words, awesomely fun and enjoyable storytelling. James Cox continues to demonstrate his evolution of that as a storyteller and I like what he’s serving up here. The plot is logical, benefitting from those aforementioned surprises, there is a nice balance between romance and action, and the character interactions are organic. This last point is particularly true in Valentine’s case, as we’re meeting him for the first time yet his personality fills a role unlike any of the other characters. Grim and Valentine have great chemistry, aren’t perfect, and they try to do their best in all circumstances despite that imperfection. Even within a short time frame, their exploration of each other and what it might feel like to share a life all feel real within this Martian universe. There is still an issue with the blunt overly short sentences that feel like statements of fact rather than attempts to maintain tension and steam as they’re intended. Example, as written: Chaos kissed Beau. Their tongues battled. Too staccato, too cut and dry, when Chaos and Beau are anything but. Instead, phrasing it like “Chaos kissed Beau, their tongues battling”, the action is current, right now, with a sense of urgency, not reading like a proclamation. This might be a style choice but it’s shortchanging the story. Conversely, Cox shows some of his wonderful talent for description: I balled my fists and squared off. “Why the hell did you give me… hope?” I paused, my breathing shaky. “You made me feel like I mattered. Like I belonged.” Gulp. Or this… We made our way to a plain of flat red dust. The place was empty. Nothing but sky and unobstructed views. The sun shined down on the quiet, uncolonized parts of Mars. Maybe it’s the romanticized vision and feelings of curiosity I have about Mars, and its possibilities for the future, but I love that passage. Simple, clean, and yet it speaks to, not just the landscape but, the mood of specific characters in a specific time and place, within context. Lovely. For me, this is the most well written book of this series. The excellent character development has returned, the plotting moved along at a good clip, and I was invited in by them both. Also, the sex is steamy, varied, imperfect, emotional, with a touch of over the top, as always. This is an exciting, enjoyable, hot, and simply fabulous entry to this series. It’s a turning point for all of the characters, leading to what could be an either incredibly disastrous or life-altering reward for such a hard fought battle. Which one will it be? I’ll be reading the next story to find out!

The war on mars is about to reach its climax. The Outlaw MC have President Wexmen on the run. Meanwhile, Valentine escapes the prison on earth and finds his way to mars. There he meets Grim. Mysterious, sexy, quiet, odd, Grim. I want him so bad. It doesn’t hurt that the author compared Grim to Alexander Skarsgard in looks. Yummy. So while this war is going in, Valentine has to deal with his issues of trust and crowds after being in prison so long. But Grim has a huge secret that even I didn’t see coming. James Cox is a very talented writer. Sure, he writes fabulous sex but he also gives us an intricate plot. There’s also hover bikes (So cool!), tons of action, gun fights, bike chases, sex on a bike, oh and yeah, they’re on mars! Did I mention there's a foursome at the end that is...insanely sexy. Off the charts, sexy! I’ve been bored with biker books because they’re all the same. This, ladies and gentleman, is a unique series. You have to read this book! This series! And bring ice water...maybe some tissues for the guys. Yup, it’s that hot. A Few Bad Men is a wild, romping space adventure with inked bikers!

Exquisite Reviews

I have to say that this being the 7th book in the series I was apprehensive to start reading it thinking I would feel lost in this world. I was happy that the author decided to use a prologue to explain his world and introduce Valentine to us. This world is full chaos and Valentine is desperately trying to change his current situation no matter the cost, especially since being in jail is no longer an option for him. Grimm is a silent man with very little to say; having a troubled past and trying to make amends he knows Valentine is not for him. Valentine has many struggles from his 5 yrs in jail and is surprised at the instant connection he has with Grimm. While navigating their new connection Valentine is also trying to fit in with the Outlaw MC and making sure he makes his older brother proud. I give this book 4 diamonds because I enjoyed this book and am interested to read how some of the established couples came to be. Get your copy Amazon or at Evernight Publishing.

Here we are at the next to the last installment in the Outlaw MC of Mars series from James Cox. It has been a wild ride so far, and installment number 7, “A Few Bad Men”, is more of the same. Mr. Cox has managed to keep my attention all the way through the series by constantly bringing us new stories of new characters. Just when you think he must have run out of members, someone else’s story shows up! This installment switches to Valentine. Valentine is the younger brother of Romeo, whose story we heard a couple of installments ago. Valentine has been in prison on Earth, but has escaped by stowing away on the last ship leaving the planet with all the remaining peacekeeper guards from the prison. It is also the story of Grim, who we’ve met in previous installments, but who was always kind of a mystery. Grim is 100% focused on taking down the government, pushing all personal relationships, friends, etc., aside. But all that changes when he runs into a spitfire named Valentine. From the first look, there are sparks. And where there are sparks, there will soon be fire. But what will happen when Valentine’s brother tells him the cold hard facts about Grim’s past? In this installment we finally get to the battle with the evil President of Mars! And all those darned Peacekeepers. Will Daisy finally get his just rewards? Oh, and there might even be some anal sex while on a moving hovercycle! Doesn’t sound like such safe sex to me Mr. Cox! LOL And I’m not even mentioning the “sleepwanking”. I highly recommend this book and this series. If you didn’t listen to me last month, and you still haven’t started the series…you better get moving! There is only one more installment!

Hot, sexy and so entertaining.

Well he's (James Cox) has done it again - another ARe best-seller on his hands and I can totally see why. This series/this book is amazing. The dedication at the beginning was wonderful and welcoming, and did I detect a slightly different vibe in the romance department? a slightly more gentler approach than normal? or was it just me? Have to say that I loved the name Valentine, a perfect partnership name for his brother Romeo and Grim - the bad boy prison guard turned God - just swoon worthy! The War for Mars is finally over. The "good guys" on the winning side and "Wexman's baddies" on the losing side! However, Daisy (Day-si), the little "fu**er" has gotten away and I've got a strong feeling that this is not the last we will be hearing from him - can't wait for him to get his comeuppance! Valentine at 16, killed a prison guard (read the book to find his reason) and was sent to Earth, which is now a penal colony. He manages to escape when the guards on Earth realise that the war was going against them and decided to flee back to Mars. On Mars, he meets Grim, totally unaware that he is an ex-prison guard! Can Valentine forgive him? but more importantly, can Grim forgive himself? Lots of good happenings, but most importantly, Outlaw is on his way to Earth to collect his VP and man, Liam! Think I'm in need of getting the tissues ready for next month's release and their reunion - Liam has suffered horrendously and only his man is going to be capable of putting him back together again - Outlaw you just rock! Amazing book, amazing series. www.threebooksovertherainbow.com

Hot, touching and soooo sexy!!
Written by Anne Bock on 9th Aug 2015

Like with all the other books af this series, I really longed to get it in my hands. And again I wasn't disappointed. Valentine is a cute guy who was imprisoned on earth at the Age of sixteen. Getting a chance to escape and leave the prison behind he sneaks into the only available ship on earth to head back to Mars. Arriving back "home" Valentine is slightly shocked how everything has changed in all this years. He knows his big brother, Romeo, is part of the MC, so he tries to find him. On his way he meets Grim, the blond and sexy giant of a hunk. Instantly Valentine feels a connection to the blond man, who seems to be the only one Valentine feels comfortable with. Due everyone knows Valentine came directly from earth, all of the MC Long to know what happened to their missed VP, Liam. Gettin to know what Valentine has to tell broke my heart and left me in tears. I just wish they will get to earth in time. Especially, if Outlaw would find out.. Valentine feels useless und wants to help to fight the remainings of the government. And if it could be at the side of his new sexy crush Grim, even better. Grim himself avoids to get any closer to the cute little but tough man, though their one kiss nearly brought him to his knees. Grim is punishing himself for past sins and wouldn't want to hurt Valentine. But love and ones heart can be an evil thing sometimes. Can this scared, lonely man and the former guard work it out and give in to their feelings and longing for each other? Will they find the ship and finally get back to earth to get Liam? See yourself... This book is an awesome, funny, sexy and exciting but soulful read. The way Grim seems to sense Valentinse fears and when he is feeling uncomfortable, but hiding it, is touching and amazing. They are great together. Just thinking of this big honest smile of Valentines blond giant makes my knees weak. Valentine himself is adorable, you just have to let him in your heart. And his little problem of sleepwanking, well, amazing, James! The hint given what happened to Liam nearly broke my heart, I really wish and hope the Outlaw MC will get there in time... The final step was taken at the end of this book, so it seems to me like taking a deep breath before the storm of changes breaks lose. Will humanity take their given chance and change everything for the better and right things? We'll see. Can't wait to read the final book now!!!
