Killer of Kings, 5

He never planned to take her...

There was something about the waitress with the black eye. She made him remember where he came from, and he knew he couldn't stand back and do nothing. Chains kidnapped her, locked her away for her own damn good. He killed the bastard who left his mark on her. Now he has to face judgement for claiming his prize.

He stole her in the dead of night...

It had been a rough shift at the diner, but the man sitting quietly at the back made Lori feel special. He ordered the pie, made her smile, then walked out of her life. She never expected to see him again, but he came back to take what was his. Chains made her feel valuable despite the chains, loved even though she was his captive. When she's given the chance to run, she can't. He's taken over her body and mind, and she wants more. If only she could save him from what was coming ... because some sins can't go unpunished.

Be Warned: anal sex

Excerpt:

Lori knew what she needed, and her own filthy thoughts shocked her. She was naked, vulnerable, and for the first time in her life, she didn’t feel ashamed of herself. It was the way he looked at her.
With hunger.
He must have reflected her own desires. Chains had the body of a god, and she couldn’t stop staring at all those hard, ripped muscles. He looked like a centurion from one of the movies she’d seen on Netflix, but this one was all hers. His cock was big and thick, and she couldn’t imagine it even fitting inside her. Yet her lust outweighed her fears. If any man was to strip her of her virginity, she wanted it to be Chains. He’d put her first, showing her what she’d been blind to. Made her feel valuable. Safe. Desired.
“Has another man touched you, Lori?”
She shook her head. It wasn’t a lie. Between working at the diner and babysitting, she had no time to socialize—not that any man showed interest in her. Catcalls and crude propositions at the bus stop at night didn’t count.
“I like that,” he said. “I’ve been holding back. It was important to me that you knew this wasn’t about sex.”
Lori bit her lip. “And now?”
“I’m not going anywhere, baby. So there’s no sense in torturing myself anymore, is there?”
She needed him, had for a while now. His holding back had given her a complex and made her desperate for his touch. “No. I don’t want you to hold back.”
He was a lot taller than she was, all sinewy muscle. She dared to reached up and trace her fingers along his defined pecs, and then down his ripped abs. He had a lot of old scars, but one thing she noticed was the complete lack of tattoos.
Chains didn’t move, allowing her to explore his body. When she reached low enough, he grabbed her wrist. She looked up to gauge his reaction. He licked lips. “Keep going, baby girl.”
She swallowed her fears and wrapped her fingers around his cock, testing the thickness. It was rock hard with a silky skin, and she was intrigued by his masculinity. “Does this feel good?” she asked, slowly stroking her fist over his erection.
“You have no idea.”
Lori smiled, excited that she was able to affect him with a simple touch. It gave her a sense of power, and she savored the fact he wanted her just as much. “You have no tattoos. I thought bad boys always had some.”
“My body’s my own. Nobody gets to brand me.” There was such emotion in those few words, and she wondered what he’d been through when he was younger. He’d told her horrible bits and pieces, and she was sure the full picture would shock her to the core. All they could do now was start over, make today the first day of forever.
“I love your body,” she said. Lori reached up and held his shoulders. “You’re so strong. So hard.”
He grit his teeth, then grabbed her waist, hoisting her up on the wooden kitchen table. “Lean back on your elbows,” he said.
She did as instructed, carefully resting back on the table, her entire body never so exposed. He squeezed her thighs, staring down at her with the eyes of a predator, a man hanging desperately on the edge. Chains leaned over and kissed her stomach, making her giggle. He kept kissing up her center, higher and higher until he reached her breasts. She clenched her pussy, swearing the wetness would leak down to her ass.
Lori gasped when he covered her areola with his mouth. He supported her tit with one hand, his tongue painting patterns around her nipple. She closed her eyes and dropped her head back as he suckled her, the pressure in her womb building and building.
“I want you to remember today,” he said. “I want you to remember when I made you mine.”

Lori is working a crap job in a crap neighborhood and is just trying to survive until tomorrow. When she refuses the local pimp he beats her up and that’s how she meets Chains. He’s just a hot guy that was nice to her at the dinner she works. Well, right up until he kidnaps her. Chains is a hitman for Killer of Kings and for a man that doesn’t do emotion, he’s having a lot of them for Lori. Okay, so when Chains kidnaps Lori I was totally curious about how the authors would handle the situation. It actually works really freaking well. Chains is patient with her, giving her the ultimatum to stay with him for a week and then she can go but she can’t try to escape and he promises not to touch her. Normally, I’d scoff at that because let’s face it good guys don’t kidnap girls but like Lori I believed him. He has a way about him that’s almost tender. There’s something about his dominance that’s both gentle and yet scary but also hot. Seriously, he’s the perfect blend of bad boy and attentive lover. I guess you can tell I really like him? Lori has her family to take care of but she’s also tired of her hard life. She’s’ confused by Chains and I love her reactions. She interested and scared and intrigued and scared again. It just works so well for this story. And that first sex scene. Holy &$*^! It is so hot I almost expect to see my ereader smoking. (My husband wants to say thanks to the authors by the way. This book got me so hot and bother that he benefited, lol) The ending is entertaining and intense. I can’t wait to read more in this series!

The Romance Reviews

Stacey Espino and Sam Crescent created the ultimate sexy series with the Killer of Kings. This latest instalment showcases just what makes these stories such a success. Chains is such a stoic man and to see him act so out of character because of the effect Lori has on him totally pulled at my heartstrings. I had to wonder if perhaps I had Stockholm syndrome by proxy. But as his past is revealed and his emotions and feelings come to life I couldn’t help but be thankful for his actions. Lori easily could have been someone to pity but her resilience and her kind heart just made me wish there were more people like her in the world. I loved how easily Chains’ business associates were won over by her and how they wanted to protect her and keep from hurting her feelings with any revelations. For me this was one of those books that I just powered through because I couldn’t get enough and then I was so sad when it was over. I just wanted more because I cannot get enough of this series. I don’t know why I’m surprised but with every adventure I’m pulled deeper into this dark world and completely fascinated and captivated by the stories of the complex men and women who inhabit it. Trust me you’ve got to read this book. The Story: Chains is a hired killer with amazing control. But when he sees a curvy waitress with obvious signs of abuse his self control snaps and he kidnaps her in order to protect her. Lori’s life hasn’t been an easy one and when she finds herself taken in the dead of night and held captive she’s surprised to find herself treated better than she ever has been before. But can they really have a future together?

Okay this one just started off weird, lol This book started off exactly where the previous one ended. Chains is feeling a bit out of sync. And he thinks he needs a bit of break from the hint man gig. And seriously what is with all these men suddenly finding women and being in love. So he goes to a dinner and he meets Lori. Few minutes ago he was anti-relationships/anti anything permanent. But when he meets Lori its like he finds his other half. And immediately he knows that she needs him, she needs him to take care of her. As she is the one who always takes care of everyone else. So what does he do??? No he doesn't ask her out, he kidnaps her. LoL When Lori wakes up she can't believe this happens to her. But she can't deny that she is attracted to Chains, and he is the only one who has ever paid attention to her and the only one who wants to take care of her for a change. But is this right, how will this work, seriously how does a relationship start where you actually get kidnapped and kept in his basement. For Chains Lori awakes this need in him to be protective of her and for Lori she finally feels like someone actually cares about her. But will this be enough for them, or is Chains world too dangerous to live in Sweet, sexy, hot and a bit of dangerous. What more do you need?

GOOD
Written by Neringa on 28th Feb 2018

Another great story for this series. Chain and Lori were weird. I don't mean 'weird' in a bad way. Probably more correctly to say would be, that they both were lost. Because of their childhood. Because what kind of life they had. Because they felt empty. I had no issues with Chain kidnapping Lori. He saw something that could light his dark life and he took her. He knew her just few hours and already he killed for her. Maybe that's why chaining her in his basement didn't bothered me at all. Because he, a person she just meet, cared for her more then her own family did. And maybe they both were 'weird' after all. Because it's not traditional how theirs story started. But it worked for them and that's what's important in the end.
