Excerpt:
The moment Sophie unlocked her door and stepped inside, Diesel was there, his large frame filling the doorway, eyes dark with want. She didn’t make it two steps before he had her pinned against the door, his mouth claiming hers with bruising force. She gasped into the kiss, wrapping her arms around his neck as he hoisted her up, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist.
“Tell me to stop,” he growled against her throat, kissing a path down her neck, teeth grazing her skin.
“No,” she breathed, trembling. “Don’t you dare stop.”
With a raw curse, he carried her to the bedroom, his control hanging by a thread. They fell to the bed in a tangle of limbs and desperate kisses. Diesel tore off his cut and shirt, revealing a canvas of tattoos, muscles flexing beneath scarred, sun-kissed skin.
Sophie’s breath caught at the sight of him. He looked beautiful and rough, every inch a man shaped by a hard life. But when he looked at her, it wasn’t roughness she saw. It was reverence.
He slowed, his hands trembling slightly as he undressed her with surprising care, like she was something fragile he wasn’t sure he deserved to touch. Finally, she was naked before him.
“You’re so damn beautiful,” he whispered, voice hoarse. He brushed his thumb over her lower lip, eyes searching hers. “You have no idea what you do to me.”
“Show me,” she whispered back, her voice barely a breath.
With a tortured groan, he kissed her again. It was deeper, slower this time, as if trying to memorize every inch of her. His hands mapped her body, rough palms skimming soft curves, drawing shivers from her with every touch.
Sophie arched into him, helpless beneath the onslaught of sensation. She’d never been kissed like this, worshipped with lips and tongue and hands that left her aching and breathless. He lifted her legs over his shoulders, traced her slick pussy lips with his fingers. Sophie groaned, begged him to take her.
I love this series so much and this book was no different. Diesel is a man hanuted by his past and unwilling to get close to anyone until Sophie. Sophie finds herself in the middle of something she shouldn't be and that brings her into contact with the Iron Sentinels and Diesel. Their attraction is instant by Diesel does his best to ignire it until he cannot. This is a great addition to the series.
Very quick read. Insta love with a tortured hero trying to fight the attraction. And once Diesel finally gave in and claimed Sophie it was amazing. Very cute although the epilogue did feel very abrupt I wish we had a little bit more!
Sophie’s flower shop was robbed while she was in it. Diesel is assigned to protect the shop and ends up falling for her. This was a very short book. It is under 100 pages. There is an attraction between Sophie and Diesel from the start. This builds into a physical relationship between them. It was an enjoyable and quick read.
Oh I loved this one. Loved both characters. I will admit she did one thing that made me bonkers but I will allow it. I liked the story enough that it didn't take away.
I enjoyed Diesel and Sophie's story, but wish it'd been a little longer. Think of this one as a whirlwind MC romance. He gets tasked with providing protection for her after her shop is vandalized. There's a spark between them, but Diesel is broody and has no use or desire for anything resembling a relationship. You'll get suspense, a little steam, and your HEA with this one!
