Naomi was terrified of what would happen if she stayed in the only home she’d ever known. Her ticket out was to become a mail-order bride. It was unconventional, but it would take her far enough away from her city that she made the decision. When she showed up, her life took a drastic turn.

Joe was surprised when the young woman showed up at his door. At first, he thought someone was playing a joke until he read the emails she brought. Hell, when would his mother stop meddling in his life? Now, he was stuck with a woman he didn’t know, who expected him to marry her.

There were too many unanswered questions, but he prevented her from leaving because there was something about her that he wanted. He just hadn’t realized all the problems that she came with.

Be Warned: anal sex

Excerpt:

Joe loved the rosy look of her skin and how content she seemed to be. That’s the way he wanted her. He needed her to be as happy as possible, and he was determined to do just that.

He stripped her panties down her legs and then pushed the blanket to the bottom of the bed.

“You tell me if this is too much,” he told her as he mounted her, gently spreading her legs farther to give him room. He rested most of his weight on his elbows, cupped her face with one hand, and held onto her hip to hold her in place.

She nodded, and her hands went to his shoulders.

He watched her expression as he started to invade her. He kept a steady, gentle movement of thrusting as she seemed to be taking it well. He shoved the last few inches into her, making them both groan.

“Are we good, Love?” he asked.

She nodded.

“Good.” He started to pull out and then drive his cock into her tight cunt. His cock was so hard it felt like it would explode, and then her tight grip on him made the sensation even more prevalent. He loved it and could see him spending as much time as he could in her.

He thought of the other places he could invade and gritted his teeth to hold back his orgasm. He didn’t have much experience with anal sex, but what he had made him slightly obsessed with it. He’d rather be in her tight ass than her mouth. However, he’d dreamed of that, too.

He didn’t take his eyes off her face, needing to see every expression she had. At no time did he see pain. Maybe a slight discomfort as he went in, but she didn’t stop him, so he kept going.

Joe felt sweat start to bead on his lower back as he kept up the leisurely pace. He could feel her cunt pulse around him and knew it wouldn’t be long before he threw her over again.

He picked up his pace.

“Joe…” she cried.

“What, Love?”

“I need … something.”

“I know what you need. Hold onto me.”

Her hand gripped his arms, and her nails dug into his skin, adding to the overall sensation.

His movements became hard and fast. Every thrust made his nerve endings sizzle, and his heart thundered in his chest. The pleasure didn’t stop but kept expanding until he thought he’d lose his mind. He tried his best to keep his gaze on her face so he could see if he was hurting her, but the pleasure was more than he’d ever experienced.

Joe felt her tighten on him, and then he heard a strangled sob tear from her throat as wave after wave of her orgasm passed. He kept up his assault until she collapsed under him.

His eyes closed as he drove into her with deep, powerful surges. The tingle started at the base of his spine and spread, taking his whole body over. He heard himself groaning so loud it seemed to fill the room. His thrusts finally slowed, and he kept moving inside her until he had no more seed in his balls.

He rested his forehead on hers, concentrating on calming his heart and breathing deeply. When he had the strength, he lifted his head to look down on her. Her eyes looked unfocused, and he saw a soft smile that told him without words that he’d pleased her. Joe rolled them to their sides, keeping his cock in her as long as he could.

The Bride's Desire by Lila Fox
Written by LyndsayL on 19th Apr 2025

This was a cute slow burn romance. Joe's mom put out an advertisment for a wife for her son and Naomi needed to get away from her situation she was stuck in. Naomi ends up on Joe's front porch as a surprise to the both of them. This couple had instant chemistry considering the circumstances and Naomi ends up becoming his housekeeper. This was a fun read as two people got to know one another amongst difficult circumstances and come out on top with both finding their happy ending. I enjoyed this for a totally different read. Nice to have a change of pace every once in a while.

Joe decides to let her stay til they could figure something out. As they spend more time together they can’t deny the connection between them and soon find themselves not wanting to be apart.

I am sure most mothers wish they could be a perfect matchmaker like Joe's. Even though thesse two needed help from her to assist in clarifying some misundertanding this HEA was a breath of fresh air.

Modern Mail Order Bride
Written by KKG on 19th Apr 2025

I always love a good modern take on the mail order bride! At first I didn’t know if I would like this story as Joe seemed unnecessarily gruff towards Naomi but I’m glad they got their HEA in the end!

Naomi and Joe
Written by Maleficent on 19th Apr 2025

Naomi was scared of what her stepmother and stepbrother would do to get her money, she decided becoming a mail order bride would help. When she shows up at the ranch, Joe is surprised by her arrival. It seems his mother was trying to help him out in finding a bride. He suggests she stays so they can get to know on another. Things do not so smoothly, due to misconceptions and as his mother puts, men's stupidity. This was a sweet story, Joe is just what she needed.

The Bride's Desire!
Written by Mary on 19th Apr 2025

This is a fun, sweet, a little sad and a cute story about Naomi and Joe. Joe is a very successful rancher who has no time for dating. He would love to find a wife and have a few children of his own, there is just no time to look. One day he is surprised by a women who shows up on his door step. She makes an interesting claim and produces some email correspondence. "MOTHER"!!! Yes, his mother is playing match maker for him. Poor Naomi, has had it rough because of her gold digging and scheming stepmother and stepbrother. She decides to run but does not realize what she has stepped into. I enjoyed every bit of this story! I love the outcome! I wish there was more on what happened to her "step" family.

great read
Written by Laura Ann on 19th Apr 2025

Joe had just recently lost his housekeeper, Rosey, who passed a handful of months ago. He needed a new one. Running a ranch he inherited from his father when it was broken down, and he turned it into one of the best in Utah. Derek is his ranch manager, and he made sure his men were happy so they stayed. They didn’t live in a bunk house like elsewhere. Everyone had their own little cabins, and those that had families had larger ones. His ranch was growing and was becoming a mini town. It had a schoolteacher, one of the wives did that, schooling for all of the children on the ranch, because schools were at least an hour away. I found the book to be fascinating and I loved looking at the way the ranch was run and the daily chores, etc. Naomi Palmer just arrived and she met up with her ride out to the ranch for her mail order groom via the mail truck, since its route took three days to deliver. She finds out that Joseph Dawson, her groom, knows nothing of her arrival. Eeek. His mama had set it all up. But he wasn’t about to turn away a gift, especially after his mom had her way. lol. Boy, did she guilt trip him! lol I love his mom. She is hilarious. Finding out Naomi’s past was awful and made me want to hug her for a while. Her stepmother, Diana, made her go to parties and she tried to kick her out, but since Diana and her son had been living there for years, she couldn’t. Laws about that. So she ran for it and was glad that the housekeeper had taught her a bunch of things growing up. Joe & Naomi are attracted to each other and she hasn’t told him much of her past as of yet. So, they are getting to know each other and she is acting as a housekeeper and cook. Things happen and they are really bad at communicating and I wanted to yell at the both of them. Egads. Really?!?! I’m glad Joe’s mom talks some sense into them. I love when they finally do talk and what happens after that. The book is fun, funny, emotional, romantic, steamy, a little crazy and a bit outrageous. I enjoyed it so much and I hope that there are more books set there.

Meddling and HEA
Written by JeniT on 19th Apr 2025

Joe never imagined he’d open his door to find his bride waiting for him. Naomi had been duped by his meddling mother and was at a loss for what to do next. Even though things didn’t go according to plan they were definitely drawn to each other. One giant mix up sets them on a path that could be disastrous or make for a beautiful HEA. The characters are well written and the pace of the story was fantastic .

Quick Romance on a Ranch
Written by Luv2Read17 on 19th Apr 2025

Joe is the owner of the third largest ranch in Utah. Though some of this reads like it could be somewhat historical, it isn't and takes place in current times. Just current times in a small town. Joe is so busy running his ranch, he has neglected looking for a housekeeper and a wife. Thank goodness his mother has taken things into her own hands and starts communicating (posing as Joe) with someone wanting to be a mail-order bride. When Joe and Naomi meet and discover what happened, they decide to do a trial run with Naomi starting off in a housekeeper role. There are communication issues, Naomi's past haunts her, and Joe does eventually figure out what he wants.

Slow burn romance with instant chemistry
Written by LBing on 19th Apr 2025

This was a wonderful slow burn romance that has Joe's mother setting him up with a mail order bride....without telling him. Yikes! Naomi desperately needed out from a terrible home situation, so she answers that ad, and after a few weeks of communication, sets off to meet Joe face to face. Obviously, there's some drama with this set up but Joe can't get over how great a job his mother did picking the perfect gal for him. They didn't jump into anything, though. She stayed as his housekeeper, to allow them time to get to know each other, until their chemistry exploded ;) I do love that they worked together to sort out her family and get that fab HEA. Good fun!
