Daniel rushed to the front door, stopping just a few inches away and taking a deep breath. He didn’t mind Bianca knowing how eager he was to see her, but he didn’t want to literally be breathless.
Not yet anyway.
He frowned when he opened the door and saw his driver standing there. “What’s wrong?”
Louis pointed to the car. “She won’t get out until she sees her alpha. According to her, I was supposed to pick him up, too, but those weren’t my orders.”
“You didn’t do anything wrong. There was a change of plans.” He smoothed his shirt. “You can go. I’ll take care of everything else.”
“No offense, Alpha, but she’s pretty angry.”
Daniel looked over at the vehicle. “If she wishes to leave, I’ll call you. But I think I can convince her.”
“Whatever you say, Alpha.” He patted his pocket. “I’ll keep my phone close.”
Daniel nodded and then began walking over to the car. He tugged on the handle, but it wouldn’t budge. He leaned down and looked through the slightly tinted window, eyeing her silhouette. “Can you at least unlock the door?” he said.
Bianca rolled down the window. “I believed you! I didn’t even check with Tristan before he left. That’s how much I trusted you.”
“There was a change of plans.”
“There was not! You tricked me!”
Daniel considered sticking his head inside, but he worried she’d start to roll the window up again. “Yes, I did. But I’m not going to throw you over my shoulder and drag you to bed. I really cooked, and there is a proper, civilized meal waiting for you in there. Please come in and eat it with me.” He nodded to her bag. “Or call your alpha. Tell him I’m a bastard and have him come get you.”
“I’m not a child. I don’t need my alpha or anyone else to come save me.”
“Are you staying or going? I’ll beg if I have to.”
She tilted her head at that. “Will you?”
His cock jerked at the interest in her voice. “I will crawl on my hands and knees if it’ll keep you here.”
Bianca eyed the back of the limousine, which was spacious enough for ten people. She maneuvered herself to the seat behind the driver, the one farthest from him. She reached over and unlocked the door before settling back and spreading her arms across the back of the seat. “Then let’s see you crawl.” She crossed her legs and pointed the toe of her high-heeled shoe at him. “And beg.”
Heat built in his groin. If she was willing to play games, she was more interested than she let on. He liked the idea of showing her what he was willing to do as much as he liked the idea of seeing what his obedience would do to her. He’d do anything to claim her, and if she wanted to be on top, he’d be more than happy to spend the rest of his days beneath her.
But once he was at her feet, he had plans of his own.
Brute was an amazing interesting wonderful paranormal romance story with entertaining characters

This is a "Romance on the Go" short, quick and steamy read. It is a stand alone story about and alpha determined to prove his mate that she is his. Daniel is an alpha that Bianca's alpha is trying to merge pack business with. Daniel senses Bianca is his mate but she thinks his intentions are only carnal. He is determined to prove to her just how right she is for him. She is his perfect mate she just needs convincing. I enjoyed the story. I love Daniel!!

When Bianca's Alpha comes to her about another Alpha being interested in her its not a total surprise to her. However, she wants to make sure Daniel sees her more than a woman to sleep with. Daniel isn't used to having to make compromises but he wants Bianca so he will do whatever he needs to convince her to be his. Will she give him a chance?
This is a great story that will hook you in the first chapter. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

This was a fantastic read. Bianca & Daniel's had me cheering for Bianca throughout the story. Daniel is an Alpha from a neighbouring pack & wants Bianca to be his mate. His attitude is almost like me man you woman must obey.
Bianca is very quick to refute that notion. Their dynamic makes for great reading as Daniel is kept on his toes.

Entertaining and steamy

This was an entertaining shifter romance that has our gal, Bianca, setting the tone for how she wanted to be treated if she were to mate with alpha Daniel. He was so used to barking orders that he was really thrown by her attitude...until he figured out that he needed to prove he wasn't going to cage her. Then the sexy times began ;P Steamy banter, topping, knotting and so much more happen in this fun read. I loved the advice he got from his beta: if you want a queen, treat her like one. Lots of guys need that lesson. Lol! Anyway, these two were well suited and he really did go all out to show her he was the one for her. I enjoyed this fast paced story and look forward to checking out more books by this new-to-me author :D

I really enjoyed this one. Although this is technically a shifter romance, there ready isn't much of the "shifter" element aside from the alpha/beta and pack component. This is much more heavily focused on the couple themselves. Daniel and Bianca met when Daniel was brokering a business proposition with Bianca's pack. While working with her pack alpha, he scented her and knew she was his mate. Bianca doesn't believe in mates, so Daniel has his work cut out for him. Their journey is interesting, to say the least, and Bianca is definitely difficult. She's attracted to Daniel, but she doesn't want to give up her independence. Watching these two figure out how to make things work made for a great read. Loved it!

First time reader of Marie Medina and I loved it! I loved the cat and mouse play between Bianca and Daniel. Daniel is a big, pushy, insistent aphla and he is after his true mate Bianca. Bianca doesn't believe Daniel is her mate and doesn't like to be forced into doing anyone's bidding. Little does Bianca know that Daniel will change her mind and not every encounter he will be a brute but handsome persuasive alpha. Enjoy

I enjoyed this paranormal romance. It was the first book I've read from this author but won't be my last. Daniel and Bianca's story was entertaining and steamy. I loved how Bianca was a strong and independent female character. I do wish there was more of problem in the story than just Bianca trying to be strong and stand up to Daniel but this was a very enjoyable read.

I'm not sure that "Brute" is the right title. Daniel didn't seem like a brute to me, but I know much is implied. Still, I found him to be a little arrogant to start, but not as brutish as I expected. Fast paced, well-rounded story. I liked it. Bianca is a tough cookie who wouldn't just comply. It was nice.

Daniel was a bit old fashioned, which maybe made him come across as a brute, but Bianca decided to give him a chance anyway, on HER terms! This is a nice, soft romance, where our brutish hero needs to come into the present century to win the independent woman of his dreams. A fun read all around!

This was a nicely written, very short piece the didn’t have much plot but at only 57 pages there wasn’t much time. It did introduce the two main characters well and there was enough about them to make them seem real. Bianca was a really strong female and despite being very much a control freak I really liked her. She definitely didn’t put up with any crap. Daniel, the main male character, was supposedly the title character as well. He didn’t really come across as a “brute” and even though he was his pack’s alpha, he seemed kind of submissive in some ways. It was almost like she was the dominant in the relationship but I never got the feeling she was supposed to be. I think the attempt was to make him be changed and devoted but he instead he just seemed weak. I believe it would have been a better story if he had been as strong and self-assured as was hinted in the first chapter. I did enjoy their banter and they seemed to have great chemistry, though. And as I said, everything was limited to the 57 pages that the book has. I like the author’s writing. She is new to me and I’ll definitely be open to reading another book by her. This book is actually more of a 3 1/2 but I rounded up because of her actual writing.

He didn’t really come across as a “brute” and even though he was his pack’s alpha, he seemed kind of submissive in some ways. It was almost like she was the dominant in the relationship but I never got the feeling she was supposed to be. I think the attempt was to make him be changed and devoted but he instead he just seemed weak. I believe it would have been a better story if he had been as strong and self-assured as was hinted in the first chapter. I did enjoy their banter and they seemed to have great chemistry, though. And as I said, everything was limited to the 57 pages that the book has. I like the author’s writing. She is new to me and I’ll definitely be open to reading another book by her.
