Jessica moved to the formal arrangement of single sofas and a low-slung coffee table. She sat down, wondering who on earth she was going to see now. She’d spoken to Mr. Ward yesterday to confirm their appointment, but he had given her no inkling of exactly what the company wanted from her.
Gazing around, she noticed another bank of elevators here. Soft music played in the background, and as she sat trying to remember the song, she was called.
“Ms. Williams. This way, please.”
Jessica stood and following the guarding woman, approached a set of huge double doors. The PA opened one and ushered her inside. The inner sanctum at last, Jessica thought, trying not to giggle as she passed the woman, thanking her, and entered the vast room.
“Ah, Ms. Williams.”
A man stood.
Jessica felt it immediately as he moved from behind an enormous desk to stand in front of her, his hand outstretched. He almost prowled toward her, and as she grasped his hand, she felt a tingle of electricity.
“Lovely to meet you.” His voice was deep, rich, and very sexy. “I’m Aiden Dowling.”
She licked her lips as she shook his hand and said, “Hello.”
She had the sudden urge to take the pins holding the tight severe bun in place and shake her hair free, to undo the buttons on her crisp white shirt. He was sex in the flesh and she was reacting all the way from her toes to her hair. Between her legs, a sudden ache developed.
Aiden Dowling towered over her. He had to be about six foot eight or nine. She knew from his written description on the company website he was fifty-four, but seeing him, he looked younger.
His body had the grace of a well-toned athlete. His hair was cut short at the back and sides, but the top was longer with a cowlick that fell forward. She had the urge to brush it from his forehead. His face had a rugged beauty, a chiseled jaw, and a firm chin. Although he was clean-shaven, there was a hint of a five o’clock shadow. This man wasn’t classically handsome, but instead he exuded power, strength, and confidence. Oh, did she mention sex? Lots of sex.
But his eyes held Jessica spellbound.
They were pale green, and as he stared at her, Jessica had the impression they saw her as she truly was. They tore past the cool facade she wore, and instead delved deep into her soul.

I enjoyed the story of Jessica and Aiden. There are not many books that are in this age category. Jessica did not have it easy in her childhood at home, but also had a bad dominant dom who was also sadistic. She is finally free from her father and her ex and can start living. When Aiden sees her he knows immediately that she will be his submissive. Will he succeed and does Jessica dare to trust him after her experiences with her ex? This is a must read.
This author does such a goo job with this story. It deals with all forms of abuse including trust. It does delve into the BDSM lifestyle and the Dom/Sub relationship. It is an emotional journey delving into past trauma, abuse, loss of trust and the courage to move forward. The story is about Jessica and Aiden. When these two set eyes on each other their worlds collide. This starts them on a very special journey of discovery, passion, love, healing and trust. The characters are strong and likable. The plot is interesting and intriguing with a touch of suspense.
Jessica is a natural submissive. She escaped from her Dom, when she was in her twenties. He was sadistic, and hurt her physically, and mentally. She vowed never to get involved with a dominant man again. She meets Aiden, and realizes that he is a Dom. Jessica refuses to engage in another relationship with a DOM. Aiden wants her to be his submissive. He helps to understand this type of relationship. He helps her her face her fears. Will they become a couple? Can Jessica heal from her past? The characters are well developed, and realistic. The storyline flowed well. I enjoyed reading this book!!!!
Jessica has been through it. Her world was shattered early in her teens and when she became an adult her first relationship was beyond awful making her gun shy about ever pursuing one again. Aiden was taken with her from the moment he laid eyes on her but she didn’t want him to see her hidden trauma. He pushes her to give him a chance am she helps her heal from the abuse she endured. I love the slow burn of their relationship and the dual POV. They both are amazing characters and the depth they feel is so real and true you feel it too. I absolutely loved this book. Second book from this author that I read and I will definitely look for more from her.
At times this was a difficult story to read. We take a journey with the heroine, Jessica, from her youth through to her early 50s. She faced abuse - sexual, mental and physical, in her twenties that impacted her life from then on. We watch her grow from a scared naive girl to a confident businesswoman. That is, until she comes face to face with Aiden, a man who attracts her but at the same time threatens the safe, staid life she has built for herself. She has to learn to trust, to accept the Dom-sub relationship he is offering. Their journey together had a few bumps, it was realistic, which made the story believable. And it was very emotional at times. I always enjoy books by this author and this was certainly as good as her previous works. On a side note - this was a remake of her old book I read many years ago and I have to say it this is a much better story than the old one. I certainly recommend it to anyone who loves reading BDSM and sizzling hot romance.
Her Cravings Mastered is definitely for mature audiences only. It is a highly compelling and engaging trek into the dom-sub relationship. It is not the type of relationship that one understands if is not your thing, and has nothing to do with abuse if it is a true dominant-submissive relationship. This story really provided some insight, and delves into the tenets and foundation of a dom-sub relationship, which are honesty, trust, and integrity. My only issue with the dom-sub relationship aspect of the storyline is that the dom told his sub that every dominant knows that the submissive is the one with all of the control. If that is true, why did he choose her safe word? If she is the one in control, shouldn't she be the one to chose her safe word? For me that speaks to trust as she would be trusting him to hear her word and stop. The characters are very well developed and believable. They draw you into the story and make the world they live in realistic. They and the strong flow of the plot kept me turning the pages, making this a very engaging and entertaining story.
This is a new author to me. I sometimes hesitate with new authors but the story line intrigues me - mainly the age of the main characters. It is not often you read books with more mature women. Jessica's story was such an emotional one. Misunderstandings with family. Abuse from someone close to her. Fear and distrust. Love. This book has it all. Jessica is 51 years old and the story moves through her life from when she leaves school to her happy ever after. There is a lot of emotion in this book as she moves through the different stages in her life. I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more from this author.
