“So,” she said softly, “what do you want, Reaper?”
He laughed once, low and rough. “You’re asking dangerous questions,” he said.
“Answer anyway?” she pressed.
He set his can down carefully, like he needed both hands free.
“I want you,” he simply said.
Her breath caught.
“I’m right here,” she whispered.
He closed the distance between them in two steps. Reaper wasn’t touching her yet, although she wished he was. He stood close enough that she could feel his heat, smell leather and smoke and something unmistakably him.
“Okay,” he said.
She lifted her hand and pressed it to his chest. Felt his heart, steady and strong beneath her palm. His restraint snapped like a wire pulled too tight. He cupped her face with both hands, brushing his thumbs along her jaw, and kissed her.
It wasn’t rushed. It was deep and deliberate, like he was memorizing her. His mouth moved against hers with controlled intensity, asking and taking at the same time. She opened for him with a soft sound she didn’t recognize as her own.
The kiss turned hungry fast. She slid her hands up his arms, over hard muscle, fingers curling into the back of his cut. He groaned quietly into her mouth, the sound sending heat pooling low in her body.
When he pulled back, their foreheads rested together, breaths tangled.
“Tell me if you want me to stop,” he said.
She shook her head. “Don’t stop.”
Reaper and Elena’s story has them meeting when as an ER nurse, she saved a guy that the cartel wanted dead. So they set their sights on her. Reaper is the enforcer of the DCMC and he take this seriously. So when the prez calls to let him know some cartel is in their territory, the hospital where Elena works, he makes his way there and it’s handled. A good MC danger filled, drama packed, chemistry charged story for this series
A page turner, Elena is a ER nurse and saves a guy that is a snitch and that bring trouble to her, Reaper is watching out for her to make sure she is ok. He tells her she needs to go with him so he can keep her save, I love these two they have a wonderful attraction. Has action, suspense.
Short but addictive slightly different so hang on you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Reaper sexy as all get out Devil’s Crown MC who tries to keep blood off his hands but has no problem protecting those he loves or who need him so when he notices the cartel harassing a nurse who does nothing but give of herself all because she did her job and saved a mans life that they wanted to die. Elena is sweet a nurse who saves lives she doesn’t care who comes into her hospital her goal is to do everything to save their life, until one patient her life changes directions, and she isn’t sure what to do or who to go to for help she knows the cartel isn’t a group to mess with but she knows her job is to save people. Reaper realizes she isn’t collateral as the collateral the more time he spends around her the more, he gets to know the stronger the magnetic pull, the more overprotectiveness kicks in but will he be able to protect her, will he keep her safe from the cartel or will they get to her, will the MC be able to make the cartel see reason, and can these two find happiness along the way?
Reaper and Elena's story will pull you in from the start. It will keep you turning page after page. The storyline is great and will hold your interest through the whole story. Well worth the time spent reading this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Elena was a RN that worked in the er. When she saved someone that the cartel wanted dead they came after her. Reaper stepped in to provide protection he was surprised by developing feelings for her. Enjoyed their story.
I enjoy characters that are both ruthless and protective. Reaper is the enforcer for the DCMC when his world and her collide can he keep her in a file. The characters are complex and interesting. This is well written but easy to read. It can be read as a stand alone, but reading the series makes it much more enjoyable.
Reaper's Mercy is the fifth book in the Devil's Crown MC series by Winter Sloane. Elena never expected doing the right thing would put her in danger. Knowing what was about to happen, Reaper steps up tp protect Elena. In the process of keeping her safe the both fall in love.

This was another fast paced addition to the series and I love how the romance unfolded for ER nurse, Elena, and Reaper. I found there was added depth by Reaper having a cartel past, even though he's with the MC now. She finds unexpected trouble when she saves someone that the cartel wanted eliminated. Reaper sees her as collateral but she's completely innocent. Just doing her job. What follows is a suspenseful journey that gives Elena time to know Reaper and fall just as hard for him as he has for her. Love when it's a 'he falls first' romance ;P Expect to get caught up in the action, drama, danger, suspense and hot romance as these two work their way to a fab HEA. Good fun!

Reaper's Mercy is fantastic, fast-paced, quick read set in the Devil's Crown MC world. This one is Reaper and ER nurse Elena's story. Always with this author you can count on a great story and great characters and Reaper's Mercy isn't any different. Reaper and Elena are absolutely on ? together and their journey is packed with danger and excitement, intrigue and drama. Absolutely a recommended read!
Reaper is a man with blood on his hands. He is tasked with keeping his patch free of trouble something he has no issue doing. Elena is an ER nurse who has the misfortune of saving the wrong man. When the Cartel move into get rid of her Reaper steps up to protect her. This novella is face paced and steamy when it gets going. I loved Reaper and Elena and I loved them together. A great addition to this series.
Loved reading Reaper’s Mercy, this was a very quick read for me once I started reading it. This book wasted no time getting right into the action and the chemistry between Elena and Reaper was super hot. Loved the ending!!
Wow! What a ride! This is Reaper and Elena's story which grabs you from the first page and takes you places you don't see coming. Winter NEVER disappoints. This series is incredible and this story is a fantastic addition. You have to read this to truly appreciate it. Must Read!
Elena was not prepared for an emergency case would turn into the cartel trying to kill her. She saved his life and now her life is in danger. She never thought that the person that would come to her rescue would be Reaper from the Devil's Crown MC. Reaper found himself becoming the shield in-between this woman and the cartel. There was something about Elena that makes him lower his walls. This was such a good read!!!
If you love MC stories and stories like that then this book is for you, It was a real page turner that I found hard to put down, and it had substance in it and wasn't just erotica so would highly recommend to others.
The writing on this one is on another level. you cant help it to love and adore Reaper. he is a very mature stable male lead. you just find yourself have respect for him. he made me love the book even more . i love female lead she was not over the top, entitled immature person. you read this book you are guaranteed to love it and enjoy. they have such good chemistry. reaper mc and a nurse. from the beginning no cheating no bad surprises . i vote for them throughout the book. and the intimacy was wow. everything was fantastic
