Following the death of her father, art student Aria Bloom has had to pack up her life in Australia, leave behind her friends and boyfriend, and move across the world to live with her sister in a tiny English country village. With her life in upheaval the last thing Aria expected, only days after arriving in England, was to stumble into the world of Ash Bennett and Jagger Arch, members of rock band Atomic Storm.

The attraction between Aria and Jagger is instantaneous but their romance starts out on the wrong foot when he assumes she is a groupie and has to work hard to make her see him for something other than a rock star.

Excerpt:

“My name is Jagger Arch.”

A murmur and a few giggles went through the crowd at this. Everyone knew who he was, but his humility was appreciated.

“I’ve been working on a couple of new songs,” he said, his voice smooth and deep, “I hope you don’t mind if I play them for you now.”

Nobody said a word. It was almost like they were holding their breaths, not wanting to break the spell that Jag had cast around the room.

Guy sidled up beside me. “We get to hear the new Atomic Storm songs before they’ve even been recorded,” he said. “How cool is that?”

“You knew about this?” I asked.

“Sure,” he said easily. “Jag asked me earlier if he could do this. I thought Ash would be singing though.”

I nodded. I would’ve thought so too. Jag, from what I knew of Atomic Storm, was the lead guitarist, but it was Ash who sang all the vocals. But Ash was still sitting in the same spot, a girl perched on his lap. He was watching Jag with the same expectation as everyone else.

And then Jag started playing.

It was quieter, softer than their other songs. The melody was incredibly sweet, almost poignant. His head was bent down, his face smooth and unreadable as he watched his fingers move over the guitar strings.

Then he lifted his head and sang.

I’d heard Jag speak a thousand times. I was incredibly familiar with his voice, how he could sound furious, demanding, guilty, sorry, and joking. But I’d never heard him sing. Listening to his voice, at the lyrics which flowed from his lips, I wondered why he wasn’t the lead singer of Atomic Storm.

It was beautiful. He was beautiful, and the words he sang were haunting. He closed his eyes as he sang, which gave me the chance to look at him, watch him, and take all of him in without him noticing. His black t-shirt fit snugly over his broad shoulders and expansive chest, his denim jeans hung low on his hips, and his firm, muscled legs were splayed out in front of him, the guitar on his lap. I watched the way his fingers moved effortlessly over the strings of the guitar like they were doing their own kind of dance.

And I studied his face.

He’d lost himself in the music, in the words he sang and the melody he created. I could tell by the expression on his face. He wasn’t here, in a crowded country pub—he was somewhere else. Somewhere far, far away. I knew that look and I knew that feeling. It was how I felt when I painted.

We were the same, Jagger and I. We were both artists who were passionate about what we created. It struck me, straight in the middle of my chest, how alike we were. It was the first time I saw something between us that bound us together other than the ridiculous psychic signs. Until that moment, I’d seen only the differences, the different worlds we came from, our different lifestyles, our different attitudes, our different futures.

But we had this.

I focused on the words and was struck by how tender they were. I followed along and felt myself stirred by the lyrics. A girl. A hope. A longing. Being pulled apart. But trying to find their way back together. He was telling a story.

When the song ended, there was a silence in the audience who knew they’d just witnessed something amazing. Then someone clapped from the back and soon everyone joined in, a raucous applause taking hold throughout the pub. I joined in too, my heart hammering in my chest.

“Thank you,” Jag said. The smile on his face told how gratefully he accepted their applause. “I’m glad you like it. I’ve been feeling particularly inspired lately.” And his eyes found mine.

Great Book
Written by Jeanne R on 6th May 2025

This is the first book I've read written by Andi Bremner; I can’t wait to read more of her books. She has written a good stand-alone book. The story is about Aria & Jagger; she was attending art school in Australia when her father dies forcing her to pack up and move back to live with her sister; where they meet.

Really enjoyable love story.
Written by Roberta R on 6th May 2025

This was a very good book but had some glaring issues. I would have given this a 5 star except I felt that the ending was missing something and felt rushed. The problems with Ash telling the media about the pregnancy were not dealt with. Jag treated her awfully bad with all the women, drinking, media and then the threat of lawyers just to get her to come to him.

Aria and Jagger
Written by Anij on 6th May 2025

This is a good rockstar romance with great chemistry between Aria and Jagger. They had a bit of a journey with him assuming she's a groupie at first. I wasn't as crazy about fellow band member Ash but it definitely added to the drama. First book by an author I will absolutely read again.

Reckless
Written by Heather93 on 6th May 2025

Reckless is ease to read, spicy/steamy, has wonderful characters, a some sort of HEA for Aria and Jagger, and twists/turns. Reckless follows the adventurous story of Aria and Jagger. The one character I disliked towards the end of this book is Ash for what he did to Aria by releasing to the media that she’s pregnant with Jag’s baby and hasn’t told him yet. Aria told Ash that she needed time to find a way to tell Jagger about the baby, but no the jerk had to say something to the media. Aria, I found her to be entertaining and enjoyable, also I could understand why she was having a hard time with deciding on when and what to tell Jagger about the pregnancy. Also, Ash had no right in my opinion to do what he did and for him to blatantly lie to Jag about what Aria had actually told Ash. Jagger, I felt sorta sorry for him, but he shouldn’t have pushed all that psychic prophecy and what his mother was saying on Aria. I would definitely recommend this book. I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next for this author.

Intense and a great book
Written by Brooke T on 6th May 2025

Reckless was an intense, heartbreaking, crazy good book. I was hooked by the first chapter. I loved the drama and spice in this book. This book has an original and unpredictable storyline. I couldn’t put this book down just waiting to see what would happen next. I laughed, cried and wanted to throw my kindle a few times throughout this book. This book is a contemporary romance from different social circles and filled with push and pull and a few twists to keep me on my feet!!! The characters are complex, have a crazy, undeniable, magnetic and angsty chemistry. I thought this book was beautifully written and had me all up in my feels for both characters!!! I can’t wait to see what this author brings next!!

Rockstar Romance
Written by Luv2Read17 on 6th May 2025

Aria goes to live with her sister in England when her father dies. She soon meets Ash and Jag (rockstars), who are living in the small town (actually, they're her sister's neighbors. Aria and Jag are instantly attracted to each other, but they face challenges for a few reasons- one being where they are in this moment of their lives. This story was well written and pulled me in immediately. I don't want to give away too much, but know that once you start, you won't want to put this book down.

Reckless!
Written by Mary on 6th May 2025

This is an intriguing romance with a prophecy or foretelling that leads to a passion, a muse, angst and much more. It was not at all what I was anticipating but so much more. The story is about a rock star and a young lady who is destined to be his muse and his future. The story is about Jag/Tim and Aria. He is a huge rock star with the band Atomic Storm. He and his band mate Ash are inseparable and do everything together. Aria, who has just lost her father, has recently moved to England and in with he older sister. She is a very talented artist who loses her self for hours in sketching. She has ventured out to draw loosing herself in her work. She bends down to get a drink from a stream when she is startled, man handled and taken to a house. She is scared to death and runs as soon as the man turns his back. She runs smack dab into a room where to men are. Jag and Ash think she is a groupie, when Jag sees her tattoo, he knows. This is a such an addicting read, one I could not put down. The back and forth between the characters was dramatic and at times intense. I loved Jag and Aria; Ash a bit of a mystery though. I enjoyed the story but I was shocked that it ended somewhat abruptly. I am not sure if it ended with what the author intended as a true "The End", but it felt like more of a happy for now.

Worlds collide with a Rockstar vs young, innocent artist
Written by EPM on 6th May 2025

Eighteen year old Aria leaves her life in Australia behind when her Father dies and she goes to live with her sister in England, she is unsure with regard to her next steps in life. However, she meets Ash and Jag the Rockstars who are secretly (or not so secretly) living in the small village and are her sisters next door neighbour's. Aria and Jag are instantly drawn to each other, despite the circumstances of their initial meeting, however they face challenges for a variety of reasons including their age and lifestyle differences. There is so much more to this story than the description provides, but I don't want to give it away in this review. I will say that it was a very intriguing read, was a bit different, I couldn't put it down as I needed to know how it all plays out. I was satisfied, however the ending was pretty abrupt after everything that had lead up to it in the story.

When Aria’s father dies, she leaves everything behind and goes to be by her sister. She had no idea that rock stars would be living next door. Ash and Jag are rockstars that melt hearts. Prepare your hearts for this story but it was worth every page turned.

Rock Star Love
Written by JeniT on 6th May 2025

The connection between Jagger and Aria is strange. Jagger believes it’s destined between them and Aria believes he only wants her because of a psychic reading. Their road is bumpy and the ending is a bittersweet HEA. All in all a good story

Reckless
Written by Lillah C on 6th May 2025

Reckless by Andi Bremner. I wasn’t ready for this book. Don’t misunderstand me and think it’s not a worthy book, it very much is, but I’m booking an appointment for my cardiologist because it feels like my hearts been ripped apart then ground into dust. Now I have a book hangover. Be prepared, be afraid of the pain (it’s going to hurt bad) but don’t be scared to read it you’ll be okay. Then you’ll want to read it again and again.

I loved this story it’s my absolute favourite genre rockstars, pop stars, country, bands etc and this story is about Aria who moved to England to live with her sister after her father dies she meets her new neighbors Ash and Jag who are rockstars she doesn’t know them then Jag tells her that they are meant to be and Aria is supposed to give him a son she scoffs and she thinks that he is nuts but deep down she wonders if it is true. Fantastic story I loved it and the characters and I highly recommend reading this book.
