“Yes, pretend there’s mistletoe around. We can kiss and make it all better. Call the truce to make our family happy.” All I want is to have a reason to kiss those plump, kissable lips.
“O-okay.” She’s cute when she stutters.
I don’t make her come to me. Stepping into her space, I place my finger beneath her chin, and see the arousal dance within her gaze.
“Is there a guy at college?” I ask. I need to know how far I’ve got to fight to make her mine.
“What?”
“Do you have a boyfriend?”
“No. I don’t have time for a boyfriend.”
“Good.” I slam my lips down on hers and kiss her like my life depends on it.

Myron and Kate had been attracted to each other for years, but neither could act on that chemistry since Myron’s dad married Kate’s mom. But now, finally, Myron is tired of waiting. Kate’s in college and has been living independently for a while, she’s all grown up and Myron simply can’t hide his true feelings any more.
This steamy and taboo story was a wonderful, quick read. I felt the fast pace of the romance between Myron and Kate was understandable and logical because they’d known each other, and fought their attraction, for so very long. Despite the fact they both clearly want the same thing Kate is initially skeptical. Myron has hurt her with his actions in the past and while I understand how she’s not keen to have her heart crushed I was pleased Kate let herself be swayed fairly early on in the story.
Even though Myron and Kate are not at all blood-related, I could understand if the closeness of their relationship weirds some readers out, particularly since the sex between them is explicit and prolific. For readers who enjoy this particular taboo, I think the short story should appeal. Aside from their feelings on the taboo aspect of their relationship there isn’t a lot of conflict in this story – so readers who enjoy complicated plots or large obstacles being overcome might not find this story suits their tastes. Readers who want a lighter, sexier quick read should find this fits the bill nicely.
Short and intensely explicit I enjoyed this fun and quick read.

Some of the "step" stories put off a creepy vibe but this newest one by Sam Crescent didn't feel like that at all. Myron has wanted Kate since their parents got married but his dad told him he had to wait for awhile. And he did. This was just a feel good story and a taboo relationship. I loved the characters.

Love these forbidden books. Myron and Kate are step siblings and both thought they could not be together after their parents married. But they have such great chemistry and love for each other and get their HEA.

But now, finally, Myron is tired of waiting. Kate’s in college and has been living independently for a while, she’s all grown up and Myron simply can’t hide his true feelings any more.\r\n\r\nThis steamy and taboo story was a wonderful, quick read. I felt the fast pace of the romance between Myron and Kate was understandable and logical because they’d known each other, and fought their attraction, for so very long. Despite the fact they both clearly want the same thing Kate is initially skeptical. Myron has hurt her with his actions in the past and while I understand how she’s not keen to have her heart crushed I was pleased Kate let herself be swayed fairly early on in the story.\r\n\r\nEven though Myron and Kate are not at all blood-related, I could understand if the closeness of their relationship weirds some readers out, particularly since the sex between them is explicit and prolific. For readers who enjoy this particular taboo, I think the short story should appeal. Aside from their feelings on the taboo aspect of their relationship there isn’t a lot of conflict in this story – so readers who enjoy complicated plots or large obstacles being overcome might not find this story suits their tastes.
