Don’t hold back,” she whispered. “I want this as much as you do.”
For a heartbeat he hesitated, fighting the urge to keep running from what he wanted. Then he gave in.
He kissed her again, slower this time but no less intense, hands sliding to her hips as he guided her backward off the mat. The world outside that room didn’t exist. It was just her, him, and the quiet thud of their hearts.
When her back met the wall, she smiled up at him, breathless. “So much for keeping distance.”
“Never was my strong suit,” he said hoarsely.
Her laugh melted into another kiss. It tasted like sweat and adrenaline and every bad idea he’d ever had. He didn’t care.
By the time they made it down the hall to his room, neither of them remembered who’d moved first. The door shut behind them with a soft click, cutting off the noise from the clubhouse. The air felt different in here. It was quieter, charged.
He cupped her face in his hands, brushing the corner of her mouth with his thumb.
“You sure?” he had to ask, voice low.
She nodded, eyes steady. “I’ve never been more sure of anything,” Mara told him.
Something in him broke then, clean and final. He kissed her again, softer now, reverent, like a promise he hadn’t realized he was making. For the first time in years, he stopped thinking about control. He just let himself feel.
They dispensed with their clothes. Viper watched tensely as Mara curiously looked over his scarred body. He forced himself to stand still as she approached him, touching the old bullet wounds on his abdomen.
“You’ve seen hell,” she murmured.
Viper nodded, unsure what else to say. He’d told her bits and pieces of his past, about his time in the army. How he wound up with the Devil’s Crown MC. With her, it was easy to tell, to talk.
Mara is running for her life and freedom from her father’s MC. Viper was looking forward to a quiet morning but when he came across her being bullied he stepped in. Then he couldn’t stop himself from being the man to protect her. They are both damaged but fit together perfectly despite the danger surrounding her. It’s a slow burn romance that makes a beautiful HEA
This author knows how to deliver us a good gritty MC romance! I couldn't put it down! It had the right amount of drama, just enough so it didnt overtake the whole story, you still got time to experience their growing relationship, with all the twists and turns of the storyline. I really really liked both main characters! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!
One thing that shines through the story is how perfectly the MCs complete each other. He was her safe haven, her refuge in times of storms; she was the calming force that eased the turbulence inside him. The story kept me eagerly turning pages, curious about what lies ahead for them—especially with two rival MCs vying for her and his Pres asking him to keep trouble at bay. I wondered what he would choose. I'm really glad he followed his heart — choosing love — and in doing so, he finds happiness, as much as their circumstances allow.
What an absolutely amazing book to read. This book was so full of action and romance that once I started, I never wanted to put the book down until I finished it. Can't wait to read more in the series.
Loved reading Viper’s Woman. This was a very quick read for me and it captured my attention from the very beginning. Mara and Viper’s story started off with a bang, action packed and the chemistry between them was super HOT. Loved their story!!
This is a roller coaster ride that is emotional with action, suspense, danger, passion and guns blazing. It is the second story in the new "Devil’s Crown MC" series. It can be enjoyed as a stand alone read but has connected characters. The story features the Mara and Viper. Mara, a girl on the run, is being hunted by her father and President of another MC. She is found and rescued by Viper, more than once. He finally agrees to hide her, in his room, and keep her safe. Can he keep her safe, while continuing to keep her at arms length?? I so enjoyed this story and could not put it down. I love how these men go in with their guns blazing! They fight for the one they love!
Wow, what a wild ride! I read the first novel in this series and really enjoyed it. This novel did not disappoint. From the first chapter this novel snatched my attention and held on tight. Once I started reading I was on the edge of my seat reading trying to figure out what was coming next. I loved Mara and Viper's story. My heart hurt for Mara and how she was betrayed by her family and how that put her on the run for her safety. I loved the chemistry between Mara and Viper, so good! I loved how protective Viper was and how he was determined to protect her at all costs. I loved watching their walls and defenses come down and watch them fall in love. So so good! What a wild ride! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next.
Viper and Mara’s story has them meeting when she’s on the run from her father, the prez of Blood Vultures, along with the members, and the Iron Serpents MC members, whom he sold her to for his debt. He sees her getting attack by both MC at separate times and decides after the second one to protect her and take her to his Devil’s Crown MC where he is vice-prez. There is a lot of action, violence, drama, love and at the end their hea together.
I received a copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review. Viper saves Mara from what he thinks is another MC trying to take her. Little does he know that is is the daughter of the president of that MC. Her father sold her for a debt his club owes. Viper doesn't know why but he will not allow anyone to take or hurt her
She did the only thing she could think of and that was run for her life. Now here she is caught by with what she thinks nowhere to run. Viper thought his day was going to be easy, then she ran right into him. Now that he has her safe he wants to keep her. I would love to read more about these characters.
This was super hot and such a great read!! Loved everything about this book. I can’t wait for book 3
Maria has not had the best life, she overhears a conversation that will change her life and makes a run for it. Viper saves her when two men try to take her back and their relationship starts from there. MC turf wars, decisions within the club and come to a head in this fast paced story with a good HEA.
I loved this book! Mara is the daughter of a biker club president. There's no family bond here as he tries to barter her and she flees. While on the run, she runs into Viper who saves her from her father's men. Viper doesn't know (or won't admit to himself) why he wants to protect Mara but that doesn't stop him from stepping up. I enjoyed reading a romance with a FMC who isn't new to the biker club scene. That Mara understands the life intimately means that more of the story is spent exploring the relationship between her and Viper. Viper is facing some demons of his own and his relationship with Mara helps him face them and embrace the peace and vulnerability that love offers, Great story and highly recommended read.

Book 2 the Devil's Crown MC series. While it can be read as a standalone read the books in series order for maximum enjoyment. 'He’s her salvation. She’s the chaos he never saw coming.' The characters were very complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and exciting and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. All in all a great addition to the series. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend. Grab a copy, kick back and enjoy!
I spent an afternoon reading this book. The story had a good flow and is well written. Romantic chemistry between the couple. There is action and intrigue for readers. I would recommend this book to friends.
When Mara is betrayed by her own father and his club she goes on the run and that run puts her right in Viper’s arms. Viper is the VP for the Devil’s Crown MC and can see that Mara needs protecting. Viper goes over and above to keep Mara safe in his room at the clubhouse but is he putting his club in jeopardy because it’s not one but two rival MC’s that are after Mara. Now Viper needs to make that choice as how important Mara is to him. This was a fast-paced MC romance that had me from page one and didn’t let go until the end. I loved the characters in this book and I look forward to this author’s next book.
Viper felt like her life was missing something he never knew that when he stepped in to help this young woman that she would find a way into his heart. He thought that he would never find that one person for him, and now this young, fierce woman was his match in every way. Be prepared that when you start this that you will have to go till the very end. I enjoyed every moment of this book. This is a must read!!!
I love reading Winter Sloane's stories. This one does not disappoint its a quick read. Viper and Mara are amazing, good plot, intense. I love twist and turns.
Mara is on the run. She had hot wired an old beat up car a few towns back, and then the engine died. At 23, she had been on the run and on the road for the past two days pausing for cheap coffee and gas. She needed to put every mile that she could between her and her father’s MC, to stay alive. Her father was the President of the Blood Vultures MC, Rex Dalton. He built his ‘empire’ on blood, threats and debts that always came due. His last one was that he was going to hand her over to the Serpents as collateral. That’s when she quickly packed a bag and booked it. In the pouring rain, she walked with her pack, and found the Ridge Motel and paid in cash. Viper, VP of the Devil’s Crown MC, was happy for his brothers that had found their happiness with the women they made their Old Ladies. Now, they were beginning to have kids. He envied them and it bothered him, because he couldn't see himself having a life like that, like them. He was restless, so he rode off on his bike and ended up at the same hotel as Mara. After a night’s rest, he found her trying to fight off two members of the Blood Vulture’s MC. Now, Viper hated bullies and so he stepped in. After kicking them down, Viper and Mara talk about her situation, he gave her a recommendation and they parted ways, until he found two guys from the Iron Serpents attacking her. I love how quickly he shuts them down. Mara & Viper talk some more and then he decides he has to protect her, and tells her to get onto his bike. Viper honestly doesn’t know why he helped her, other than that he hates bullies. So after a while, she starts working for the DC MC, with his brothers. King finally asks him why he brought her there and the answer shocked the both of them. Viper steps in whenever he is near her and someone even looks at her wrong let alone them touching her. It is scary, but cute. Then things get bad. With two MCs after her, it is getting harder to protect her. King confronts Viper some more. I began to worry for all of their safety. Two nasty MCs are gunning for her and they want her back. I don’t even want to know what they would do to her. It would be pretty bad. I had my AC on, chewed on my nails and pretty much freaked out over worrying for her and the guys. Then the worst happened. I totally freaked out and started muttering curses out loud. My dad was laughing at me, he says I get too in to the books I read. I was livid over how the worst happened. I wanted to smack someone. Ugh. Then it was time for some fighting. I loved that, as well as the ending. I can’t wait to see who falls next.

Mara and Viper This was a fab follow up to book one and was just as engaging. Mara is on the run from her MC prez father, who is looking to barter her off to another dangerous MC to cancel out some debts. She knows it's not likely she'll escape but she's giving it her all. She literally runs into Viper when she's trying to get away from two of her father's men and he can't not help her. This starts an amazing connection between Viper and Mara and leads to a forever love. Of course, it's not simple when his MC isn't interested in taking on two enemy MCs for some girl so be prepared to be glued to your reader through the action, drama, danger, emotions and hot spice as these two fight their way to a fab HEA :D

So, she's on the run and knows that with two MCs after her- she's in big trouble. Viper (VP of Devil's Crown MC and military veteran) has a lot of baggage- both mentally and physically. When he sees two men manhandling Mara, he goes into protective mode. Will these two be able to get through each other's barriers? Will Devil's Crown MC help keep Mara safe? This was a fun and quick read with plenty of steam. (I recommend reading the previous booksof the series first, as there are recurring characters.)

This book was good. There was plenty of suspense and action for a novella! Once Viper figures things out, there is spice too! If you enjoy reading MC Romance then you’ll love this story!
This is book 2 of Devil's Crown MC and a standalone story. It is a short novella, but the author does not skimp on plot, steamy scenes or the happy ever after ending. I loved that this story pulled me into its world from the first chapter. It was easy to imagine the characters and before I knew it the story was done.
Mara is on the run from her dad. Problem is he’s the president of an outlaw MC who sold her to pay off his debts. He needs her back to finish the transaction. Viper is in the right place at the right time and saves her as she is being kidnapped. There are only a few issues, the first one being he’s from a rival MC, second him trying to save her could bring down his club. They know her dad and the MC she was sold to will stop at nothing to get her back. Falling in love and protecting Mara may just start a war. This book is an amazing read. Viper is an alpha protector who had no intentions of finding himself in this mess. The characters draw you in and the story line is everything you want from a MC romance. This book is a great addition to the series and I am looking forward to what happens in the next book.

Now alone, exhausted and running out of money, she gets a room in a rundown motel trying to stay one step ahead of the MC. Viper is the VP of the Devil’s Crown MC. He's also Ex-military with scars on the inside and out. Because of this, he prides himself on his control and keeping his emotions locked down tight. When he comes across Mara trying to escape from two bikers and failing, he intervenes. What he doesn't realize are the repercussions of his actions. You have to read this to truly appreciate it. This is a definite Must Read!
Viper's Woman is the second book in this new series and is a fantastic addition. This story is full of drama with amazing characters and plenty of action. Mara is betrayed by everyone around her she runs knowing she will never be safe and can never go back. Alone and running short of funds she literally runs into Viper is the VP of the Devil’s Crown MC. He doesn't want to get involved but he cannot help himself. He takes her back to the clubhouse with him. Something the other members of the cllub do not take well given who she is. When danger comes calling Viper and Mara can no longer deny their feelings. I love Winters books and this one is no differnt.

Realized she was what he needed in his life and went to war for her. This book was so intense. It was hot too. Those two were meant for each other. I loved everything about this book. I love Viper’s character in this storyline and how it shows a different side to this VP of the Devil’s Crown MC. Viper was still dangerous but he was also her hero. He’d saved her and was hiding her from her father’s club and the club who were looking to claim her but somewhere along the way, he’d fallen in love and wanted to claim her. A little action, some swoon-worthy moments and a connection that’s felt throughout the book will engage you from the first page to the last.
