Twists in the plot that keep you guessing. Action that crosses back and forth between Mexico and the USA. I have a best friend in Juarez and when one plot twist mentioned that city within the situation that was happening, it literally made me reach out to him and say that I was grateful he doesn't let his daughters go off alone, ever. Because of my friendship with him I have an understanding of how different each area of Chihuahua is and it helped me visualize when they were there. The growth of both main characters was very interesting to follow as well.
