Her breath hitched, but she didn’t shrink away. She never did. “You think you can keep doing this?” she hissed. “Showing up, taking over, deciding what I need?”
“Damn right,” he snarled, the words scraped raw from his chest. “Because if I hadn’t shown up tonight, you’d be in a hospital bed, or worse. You don’t get it, Lena. They’re not playing games. I won’t let them touch you.”
Her chest heaved, eyes flashing with anger, but beneath it he saw the flicker of something else. Heat.
“You’re infuriating,” she whispered.
“And you drive me out of my goddamn mind,” King said.
The space between them burned away. His mouth crashed down on hers, rough, desperate, explosive.
Lena gasped, then melted into him. She fisted her hands in the leather of his cut. The kiss wasn’t sweet, it was fire and fury, all teeth and tongue, the clash of two people who’d been circling each other too long.
King groaned against her mouth, the sound ripped from somewhere deep. He’d kissed women before, more than he could count, but never like this. Never like it mattered.
Lena pressed her body to his, soft curves against his hard edges, and his control snapped. King grabbed her hips, hauling her closer, grinding the evidence of his hunger against her thigh. She moaned, the sound wrecking him, fueling him.
“King…” Her voice was shaky, pleading, but not with fear.
He broke the kiss just long enough to growl against her lips, “Tell me to stop, and I will.”
Her eyes locked on his, wide and burning. “Don’t you dare stop.”
That was all he needed. King kissed her again, slower this time, more deliberate, pouring everything into it. His rage, relief, hunger, reverence. He explored her, sliding one hand up her spine, the other tangling in her hair. She tasted like coffee and defiance, like the only thing he’d ever crave again.
What can I say about this book but it was so very good. The characters had very romantic chemistry and moments between the couple. There is loads of action and intrigue for readers. I would recommend this book to others.
King’s Claim is the kind of MC romance that grabs you from page one and refuses to let go. Winter Sloane delivers an intense, high-stakes story filled with danger, desire, and the raw, unapologetic passion that makes MC romances so addictive.
This was an amazing story--love the characters and their story. It was so amazing how the author was able to make the story so raw and emotionally powerful book. Great.

I hope this is the first of many for this new MC. King and Lena are the perfect pair, where she is soft he's hard. But don't let the fact she is a women fool you she is tough as nails. He is bound to do everything in his power to protect her, no matter how hard she pushes back.
I absolutely loved this MC romance!!! I loved the push and pull the roller coaster ride of emotions that Winter Sloane brought out in this book. My heart broke for both characters in this book. I laughed and got teary eyed a few times. The grovel was spot on as always with Winter Sloane’s books!!! This book is a dark MC romance and touches on dark themes and topics. I thought the storyline was page-turning and original. The characters were complex and had an intense and undeniable chemistry. Lena was loyal, determined and strong. I loved her attitude the most!! She did not back down. King was broody, might have had his head stuck somewhere, and a total Alpha. I loved their chemistry and the pace of their romance. It was well written and had me hooked!!! I can’t wait to go back and read this book again!!! #kingandlena

Everything you want in a MC romance. Tough but tender-to-you mmc and the mfc was tough on the outside but still needed help on the inside. Gang fights, instant connection, heat and more. Great Start to a new series. Interesting characters coming!
Wow, what a wild ride! I have read other novels by this author and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I love a good MC novel and this novel checked so many boxes for me. From the first chapter this novel reached across the page and grabbed my attention and held on tight. I loved King and Lena’s story. Their chemistry was so good and intense. I loved King was willing to do whatever it took to protect Lena. I loved watching their walls and defenses come down and open their hearts to each other. Once I started reading I didn't want to put this novel down. I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. Such a wild ride! So so good!
Winter Slone does not disappoint. I love reading her MC romance stories. I love reading about the characters. King and Lena. Its spicy, thrilling. I wish it were a longer story.
Lena works at the Pit Stop usually the night shift, and closes as a bartender. Her mother is very ill and she is having trouble making ends meet and paying for her mother’s hospital stay. One night, three of the Iron Serpents, MC walk in and demand payment from the ‘top shelf.’ She tells them that she isn’t the owner and that they will have to take it up with him. That causes problems and they threaten to destroy the Pit Stop unless she pays. Things go to heck then. The Prez of the Devil’s Crown MC, King Maddox shows up with a few of his people. They actually care about their people and try to protect the innocent from the Iron Serpents. Lena tries to tell King that she didn’t need the help. But, she so does. King does something so efficient and awesome, I immediately had to put my AC up higher for the ‘oh wow, yum’ factor, lol. After visiting her mom, she goes to work and finds it … not the way she left it, and so she calls on King. King sends his VP and sarge-at-arms, Viper & Bishop in to watch over the place and help out, because the bar and those of it, are now under the DC MC’s protection. King and the MC own a garage that is attached to their HQ. Things get worse, and she calls King again, and he talks her into staying at the clubhouse because she needs a job. King does quite a few things that can be considered overbearing and romantic at the same time, lol. Lena argues a lot with him and the rest of the MC when they get ‘overprotective’ of her. More things happen and after Lena and King finally connect, more sucky things happen and dangerous. I loved this book. It was fun, funny, romantic, alpha-hilarious, scary, steamy and crazy all at once. The end was awesome and boy, you do not want to tick off the DC MC or King. Nope. lol. I love the ending.
This is a short read that will have you attached to each word on the pages. The gritty, violent, tender, explosive love story between Lena and King will test your hearts, He meets her at a bar and is attracted to her, as he needs to show power above all, but when he sees her being the target of his enemies, he snaps and bring her home with him. SHe is spirited, independent, and strong willed, and as she spends time with him, he starts to show her the layers he has hidden, between encounters, and confessions. Trying to show his dominance, and power he doesn't yield to his sentiments and sends her away just for her to end up kidnapped by his enemies, BE prepared to see a man on a mission, his woman belongs to him! A gritty read that shows the rawness of the violent encounters mixing them with tender moments, passion and the idea of legacy and loyalty.
If you are looking for a new MC series look no further. King has an image of himself as a monster and that means he is not worthy of love. Then he meets Lena and the attraction is immediate for both of them. He does his best to stay away but when her life is threatened he cannot stay away. Still not willing to accept her love he pushes her away and into the arms of his enemy. Realising what he has lost he does evverything that he can to get her back. Don't worry you will get your HEA.
Prez King becomes obsessed at first site when he walks into the bar and sees barmaid Lena cornered by rivals, and hes not one to let anyone get close to whose his but when shes taken he will rain hll down to get her back. Well written steamy past paced age gap and more.
Lena runs the Pit Stop bar and whilst she has a strength, her intention to be hard faced against a danger is her weakness. The Serpents have her in their sights and she believes she can argue her way beyond them. King is not a man to cross and his behaviour is as dangerous as his actions at times, yet her attitude to him only serves to amuse and frustrate in equal measures. Love this authors writing style... she knows how to deliver a punchy and sometimes raw but gritty romance! One of my go to's. I was hooked once I got into this and I devoured it! Left me craving more in the very near future!

This is book 1 of Devil's Crown MC series and a great read! The characters were amazing and so well written that I felt like I knew them. The plot was intriguing, exciting, action packed and fast paced. World building was excellent and expertly drawn. Cannot wait for more from this series. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend. King is the Prez of the club and he believes he is a monster and needs to be that way in order maintain his control in order to keep his club safe. Lena is a bartender and is no push over. She had no problem speaking up to King, even though he was the man to save her from the enemy of the club. Now these two walk a fine line between protection and control. The chemistry between these two was massive but will they both recognize for what it really is before its too late especially with the enemy wanting to take revenge on Lena and the Devil’s Crown MC. I cannot wait to see what comes next in this series.
4.75 stars. Lena and King. I read this in one sitting. I was in by the first couple of sentences. This was a great MC book. I didn’t give it a 5 stars because the old trope of her bills are paid and she’s angry because of it. It needs to go to the past. Other than that little thing. Loved it, and I can’t wait to see what else is to come from this universe
This was a fun series opener that's full of danger. Lena is a bartender scraping together every cent she has to pay for her mother's medical care. When some baddies show up demanding free drinks, or free 'time' with her, she doesn't buckle to the fear she feels. King, prez of the Devil's Crown MC, strides in at the perfect time to save her. He's blown away by her spunky attitude and her unwillingness to back down. What follows is a hot romance with a lot of angst on King's part, as he sees himself as a monster and not worthy of love. Sadly, he figured himself out too late and he sent Lena off into danger... This was an exciting read that does end in an HEA and I loved the reading ride. I can't wait for the next book ;D

I always enjoy Winter Sloan's writing and this book was no exception. This is the first book in what im hoping is a series and feature King, the older, gruff Pres of Devil’s Crown MC and Lena, a woman whose life is not going great but that just means she fight even harder to keep what she has. Lena is a great character, tough, scrappy and can see right through Kings tough exterior. Good book.
