Loved the inter action between the characters, and loved how it was a slow romance , as well as the story line .
For decades, war has raged between the Russo and De Luca families.

He’d started preparing this room three years ago. From the moment he met, his intention was to take her.
Damon was known for his patience. What he wanted, he always got. And when it came to Milah, he wanted her. Not for her wealth, but to tame that wildcat.
He despised the Russos and everything they stood for, but Milah was different. Damon had taken his time. Done his research and knew she was not like her father. She was unique, and that quality was to be rewarded.
It was why he’d attacked Russo. Why when his blade was to his throat, and he was more than happy to strike the killing blow, he’d waited to see what Russo would give up to save his own life.
He was shocked when Milah’s name came up.
Why would he be? The man was a coward, only interested in his own ends.
He despised that in men. Was sickened by it.
Russo would die soon enough, but first, Damon intended to take every single piece of Russo land and business. To kill all his men and make him drown in his own misery. He was going to break and destroy that man, piece by piece.
First, he was going to work on Milah.
She would belong to him.
The day would soon come when he would show her father what he’d done. How he’d gotten a Russo to fall in love with a De Luca. That would not be the only victory he anticipated. He would also knock her up, but he had no intention of marrying her.
There was no way a De Luca would ever marry a Russo. He would keep her as his mistress. Even when he found a wife worthy of the De Luca name, he would keep Milah in place, by his side, never allowing her to escape.
He waited for Milah to wrap a towel around her beautiful, curvy body before entering her room.
Damon closed the door and nodded at his guard to flick the lock into place. There was no escape.
Pocketing his cell phone, he moved toward the bed and waited for Milah to enter. The moment she did, wrapped in a towel, she froze, jerking to a stop.
He sat on the edge of the bed, staring at her.
She stood still, her hands gripping the edge of the towel as if that alone could protect her.
Every single part of this room was covered in cameras, so he would have the joy of watching her whenever he wanted. There was no weapon. Nothing to protect her. Even when he sent food in, he made sure there were no knives. Nothing to tempt her to act irrationally.
He smiled. “Hello, Milah.”
“What do you want?” she asked.
“Is that any way to greet your master?”
“You’re not my master. You will never be my master.”
He chuckled. There would come a day when she would crawl across broken glass for him, and when that day arrived, he would fucking relish it. He would break this woman. So much spirit. So much passion. He couldn’t wait to unleash it and to finally have a taste of what he’d been waiting for. His cock stiffened at the thought.
Damon got to his feet and took a step toward her. She stayed perfectly still, tilting her head back and glaring at him.
That’s right, little cat, fight me. Your submission will be so much sweeter.
“Your father gave you to me.”
“I’m a person. I’m not a thing to be passed around like an object.”
He cupped her cheek, and she shoved his arm away.
Smiling, he gripped the back of her neck and hauled her up against him. She did have some skills, but she was no match for him. There was nothing she could do to fight him off. He was the one with complete power, ultimate control.
“You are mine, Milah. Your father gave you to me because he is nothing but a coward. He would rather sell his own daughter than lose his life.”

Intriguing read

This book was incredible and well written!!! It was mysterious, dark, spicy and there was a ton of revenge. However things in the book are not as what they appear, but will eventually come to light on a feud that have been going on for many years. Can this feud be put the rest?

Thank you to NetGalley and Evernight Publishing for the DRC of ”Mistress to a Monster" by Sam Crescent. This was a heady and mysterious drama. The erotica factor wasn't overwhelming, it was just right! I especially enjoyed the mysterious backstory and how the plot gave up its secrets slowly. I really enjoyed this book, maybe even more than I initially thought I would, because the story was SO good and developed, that I could shelve this under straight romance and not even add the erotica tag. A fun, hot, mysterious read!

This is a Romeo and Juliet mafia romance, and it surprised me when I was hooked in the story, it has forbidden love and this book is mainly erotica so it had a lot of steamy scenes, so i recommend it for those who love dark erotica.

TRIGGER WARNING PHYSICAL ABUSE ⚠️. I really enjoyed Milah, Damon and Glory's characters within this book. This book is extremely steamy definitely for 18+ years and older. I absolutely LOVED Milah, her character development was awesome, and it was awesome to see Damon soften in the best way. This was such a fun read, the setting was well done, the descriptions were perfect without being too wordy or awkward. Mafia romance done right!!!

Fast-paced read with loads of drama, suspense and emotion. Great characters and an entertaining story with plenty of twists and turns. I loved it.

Couldn't put it down and I totally tried to
I don't review a lot and with the amount of books I read I really should but when a boom hits me in the feelings and I can't put it down I feel the need to share with everyone that this book is one of the very good ones. I don't read a lot of the Mafia type romances but the blurb on this book made me want to give it a try. It's not heavy on the Mafia but it was there and the reason the story, which kinda gave a small Romeo and Juliet feel, because of the long standing fued between the families. Honestly feel like in order to get over the book hangover from this book I am going to have to reread it at least one more time this week. If you're a fan of Sam Crescent and you haven't gotten this book what is wrong with you? And if you haven't read her books before read it and you'll see why she is one of my go to authors. Thank you Sam for another wonderful story that I am going to enjoy for a long time.

I’ve read quite a few dark romance stories over the years and this one is really good. The characters are interesting and everything that you would expect in a dark story is crafted without limits. I must admit that I had to put it down a few times as some scenes were a bit too much for me but I would totally recommend it to any dark romance lovers.

The blurb was what got me first. I have all the ingredients I want. But the book is...super slow burn. For a mafia/captive book, super slow burn in my book, I'm gonna call this book a sweet contemporary romance with a mafia background. Damon De Luca and Milah Russo are enemies. Their families have been rivals for a long time. Milah just wants to be free of it all. She cares nothing for her father or the name. Always keep fighting is what her mother taught her. Damon plans to destroy Milah. She will be his mistress and nothing more. He would never marry a Russo. Things don’t always turn out the way you plan. Milah is tough and smart. Her mother taught her well. She surprised Damon at every turn. These two were enemies but only due to the name. When Damon finally sees the person, she sparks feelings he didn’t think were possible. They get close but the past always creeps back in. Milah finds her great aunt's diary and learns about what fueled the fight. It was a sad story and almost mirrored their own. I loved that Milah stayed strong and Damon had to work for it. Mistress to a Monster is a mafia romance with enemies to lovers.. I enjoyed that the story had more depth to it than just arranged marriages and mafia business. I wasn't' a huge fan of the trope that shall not be named.. I could have done without that but I see how it played well into the plot and needed to happen.

Loved reading the fabulous and fantastic mafia romance story. Damon De Luca's revenge plan is to have Milah Russo as his mistress only. Milah is nothing like her father, the head of the Russo family, or like any of the Russo's. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read story of two people from enemy families finding love. Mistress to a Monster is a Romeo & Juliet mafia romance with all of the right feels! This genre is hit or miss for me because its a turn off when the women are portrayed as weak and as pawns. Milah, the female lead character in this book, at first appears to be that stereotype but you quickly realize there is much more to her than what shows on the surface. You can just feel the heat between her and Damon! Thank you Netgalley for the ARC of Mistress to a Monster - this was a satisfying romance and I will be looking out for other books by this author!

I love mafia romance and Sam Crescent has given her readers another good one. Damon and Milah's families have been feuding for years and Damon is determined to have his revenge by taking Milah from her family, getting her pregnant and not even marrying her. He plans to keep her as his mistress. Of course, you know feelings are going to change. I liked Milah, she wasn't a pushover and she knew how to fight but it didn't help much. As time goes on Damon realizes he's come to care for her. In the meantime, Milah finds a journal from the past and it tells why the feud started. The twists took me by surprise and pieces finally fell into place. This was one story that I enjoyed reading and now I'm really hoping that at some point, Ricky will get his story told! You're gonna have to read to find out who Ricky is!!! LOL

Simply beautiful love story
Mila and Damon are sooo good! Love their story soooo much! The way Damon's heart softened and he made himself vulnerable to Mila, the way he loves her and needs her, is simply beautiful. Mila displaying her strength and also opening her heart to Damon is just as beautiful. Wish we could see more of their life together through the years!

A darkish mafia romance with a clueless H when it comes to his feelings. Damon was obsessed with Milah from their first meeting. He just convinced himself it was all about revenge and hate. I do like a bada** alpha H but with a moral compass. That being said, Damon was a bit darker than I like. Would have preferred him changing how the brothels were filled. Just saying. He could have become a better man, not perfect, just better. Also, would have liked to hear more about a connection between Milah and her half brothers and sisters in the epilogue. Only trigger warning for physical violence and references to human trafficking. I received a free copy of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The De Lucas and Russos have been at war for years. Damon the head of the De Lucas family and meets Antonio the head of the Russo family. Antonio gives his daughter to Damon. It is then Damon vows to him to make Milah Russo his mistress. But as life would have it things don't go as planned. However, something is revealed that will put a twist into everything. To find out the twist you should read this book it is incredibly good.

I really enjoyed Damon and Milah’s story. Family feuds span generations and sometimes innocent people get caught up in the mess. Great mafia vibes in this one and a really sweet epilogue I loved. This one wasn’t as emotional as some others I’ve read from this author but I definitely enjoyed it.

This is my first Sam Crescent read and I am hooked .This mafia themed romance has you wanting a DeLuca of your own. If you don’t know why good girls like bad boys…you will when you finish this book!! The characters are well thought out and developed. The story evolves naturally and is not rushed. I’m off to buy my next book by this author.

Milah lost her mum when she was murdered buy the other powerfull mafia family De Luca family. her father is so cold to her. on her eighteenth birthday she come face to face in the maze with Damon De Luca. he has been watching her for a while. then the unthinkable happens. three years later her father sells her to Damon to save his own life. Damon wants revenge on the Russo family and wipe them all out Milah will be his mistress. but she suprises him she is not heartless will he carry on with his plan or will he fall hard for her and Milah is one kick ass lady I so recommend so enjoyed

I was given an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review. Sam Crescent so I pounced on this book. I fell in love with Milah very quickly, she knows her worth, kind and thoughtful. I did feel that she either wasn't comfortable with her identity or didnt like accepting her identity. I think accepting herself and her situation was an important part of her story so that she could open up her heart to the possibility of Damon. Unfortunately, Damon had to work twice as hard to win me over. We first meet him when he takes Milah from her father in a questionable deal. His initial plan infuriated me so it took me most of the book before I began to forgive him. I loved the chemistry between them towards the middle of the book. The sex scenes were steamy. My favorite part of the story is when Milah is finding herself, she discovers her aunts journal and explores the relationship her aunt had with Damon's grandfather. She became more open to loving Damon and them having an HEA however, Damon had to be stupid and spoil the progress he had made due to his inability to let revenge go. I enjoyed the tension that built throughout this book and liked the fact that this was a dark romance that didn't go to far and cross any of my boundaries around questionable consent that can make me very uncomfortable and mad ( I know this is sometimes the point/ feature of dark romances). The rivalry made the story even more interesting, it was like a very twisted Romeo and Juliet except that they hate each other and want revenge, I loved the ending and found it very sweet. I highly recommend this book especially if you like any of Sam Crescent's MC romances or mafia romances.

Amazing book. Had you hungry for more. I was kept on my toes the whole time while reading this steamy romance. No typos that I noticed but I was so into the story I could have missed any. A very well-written enemies-to-lovers story that will be hard to put down.

Great read! It’s been awhile since I read I read anything by this author.. The title and the cover had me wanting to read. It was exactly what I love in books alpha male obsessed with h n doing everything he can to have his enemies daughter. He wants to ruin her but soon finds out she’s what he needs n fights his feelings. It was a fun n good read. Would recommend.

Ok, hear me out. If the movie 365 days and the story of Romeo & Juliet had a baby, you would get this delicious mafia romance by Sam Crescent. The Russo's and the De Luca's have been enemies for years. Just like our fated lovers Romeo and Juliet though, they can't resist each other. Mistress to a Monster is a mafia romance with enemies to lovers.. I enjoyed that the story had more depth to it than just arranged marriages and mafia business. I wasn't' a huge fan of the trope that shall not be named.. I could have done without that but I see how it played well into the plot and needed to happen. "De Luca and Russo were going to paint the streets with blood, but Milah didn't care. She followed his lead, giving in to temptation for the first time in her life, and she hated how freeing it was." Overall, other than a few grammatical errors this book was enjoyable. It had the DRAMA, suspense, and spice we all enjoy.

This was a great book full of action, intrigue, suspense and a hate-to-love love story. The author does an excellent job of diving into the emotional depths of each character so you really get an understanding of them, flaws and all. This one is a page turner and an awesome summer read!
