He revved the engine, feeling the hum of his machine as he pulled away from the curb. Damon stuck to the speed limit as they were inside Greater Falls. There was no reason to cause too much trouble before they hit the open road.
The moment they were on the road, that was it. He gunned the engine, kicked up speed, and let the freedom take them.
This was why he loved riding his bike. What he lived for. It was the freedom of not looking back, of not caring, of only seeing the future.
Teri held on to him even tighter, and that was the icing on the cake. Life didn’t get any better than this, until Teri screamed into the night. He smiled, feeling her happiness wash all over him.
They drove for a good thirty minutes until he saw a parking sign up ahead. Pulling in, he brought the bike’s speed down slowly until he stopped.
She climbed off, just as he knew she would. “Fuck me, that was amazing.”
Staring into her eyes, he saw how they sparkled. He hadn’t seen that in a long time.
“I don’t know how you always seem to know what I want, but please, don’t ever stop,” she said, coming to him.
She cupped his face, and Damon froze, glancing down at her lips. They were so close. He wanted to kiss them. To feel them against his own lips, to meet her halfway.
Teri jerked back. “I’m sorry.”
“Why are you sorry?”
“I don’t … that was…”
He climbed off the bike and tried to close the distance between them. Teri jerked back again.
“For fuck’s sake, Teri. I’m not going to hurt you.”
“I, er, I think it’s time to head back.”
“Why?”
“It just is,” she said.
“Because you were going to kiss me?” he asked.
“You don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“I do know what I’m talking about, and so do you. You want me, Teri, but you’re too much of a fucking coward to go after it.”
“You’re wrong,” she said.
“I’m wrong? Then last night why did I hear you playing with your pussy, calling my name? Huh? Did I imagine that? I’d had a few drinks, but I wasn’t drunk. You want to kiss me, and I bet if you really thought about it, you want to fuck me, don’t you? I know I want you, Teri. I want you so fucking badly. Each morning, and every single night, I go to bed with my dick hard thinking about you.”
“So you want to fuck? Is that it? Get this over with. Screw each other and then that’s it? Friendship over? Is that what you want?”
He glared at her. “Is that what you think is going to happen?”
This time, as he advanced toward her, he captured the back of her neck, stopping her from escaping him. She pressed her hands against his chest, but made no move to shove him away completely.
“Let me tell you something, Teri, having my dick inside you is something I’ve wanted for a long time. I’m not an idiot. I know one time with you will never be enough. Not even twice, or a third time. How about we start at fifty years? You hear me? Fifty years of me showing you how much I’m addicted to you, and then we take it from there.”

Loved Damon and Terri
I loved going back to this series and getting Damon and Terri's story. At first, I didn't care for Damon as he was sort of a jerk in previous books in this series but now we get to know him better and I actually like him. Terri might be a club girl but she has owned the mistakes she made and the club is still behind her. Damon and Terri like each other but have not mentioned it. It was interesting to watch their work their way through a relationship. Can they make it work?

Totally Enjoyed !
OMG! I Loved this story! Teri made mistakes but owned it. The club she's part of forgives her (except, it seems, for Cora, the President's old lady). But like most people, she still blames herself. Damon, a member of the club, is amazing. He's there for Teri when she needs him, looks out for her even while he's in love with her. When she feels leaving will solve everything, the result leads to some interesting discoveries. I really enjoyed these characters and hope there's more in the series. Another great one from Sam!
