Excerpt:

The mattress shifts behind me. Heat radiates against my back. A large hand brushes my hip, rough and warm, like it’s memorizing the shape of me through the sheet.

“Juliet,” he breathes, voice low and raw.

I squeeze my eyes shut. No. But the hallucination doesn’t care.

Abel’s scent fills the room—leather, smoke, something darker underneath. My pulse skitters. My thighs press together. The air vibrates with his presence, his growl curling inside my ear like a secret.

“I told you,” he whispers. “You’re mine.”

The imagined version of him is softer than the real thing. Gentler, more reverent. His fingers slip under the edge of my sleep shirt, dragging fire across my skin. His mouth finds the back of my neck, and my body arches, desperate, shameful.

“Say it,” he says. “Say you feel it.”

I almost do. I almost give in. But then the illusion shifts. His grip tightens. Too tight. His mouth at my throat is no longer a kiss. It’s a claim.

And suddenly, I’m not dreaming anymore, I’m drowning. I throw off the blankets, gasping for air, drenched in sweat. My heart’s pounding. My clothes are soaked. My sheets smell like him, and he’s not even here.

He’s not here. He’s not here.

I stumble to the bathroom and vomit into the toilet. The cold tile bites my knees. This is only the beginning. If the suppressant fails before I get another dose, I won’t just hallucinate. I’ll beg. I’ll call for him. And he’ll come. Because he won’t be able to stay away.

I barely manage to drag myself out of the bathroom before my body betrays me again. My heart thuds in my chest like it’s been pumped full of raw electricity. Sweat coats my skin, and my legs feel like jelly.

I try to breathe, try to focus, but my mind is running too fast, spinning into overdrive. I force myself to sit on the edge of the bed and take deep breaths. My fingers press into my temples, trying to push away the suffocating heat, but it’s already there, creeping in like a shadow over my senses. It won’t stop.

I feel his hand again, his breath at my neck.

A Fantastic Read

The Cheerleader is absolutely suspenseful and a page turning dark paranormal romance story. I found myself not wanting to set my phone down until I read the last page of this book. The story is captivating from beginning to end, entertaining and an absolute pleasure to read. The Cheerleader has a fantastic plot, wonderful characters and an ending that took my breath away. The characters are fabulously written and phenomenally executed throughout the story. The Cheerleader is the journey of Abel and Juliet. The chemistry between these two characters is smoking hot and breathtakingly beautiful. I adored getting to know both Abel and Juliet as well as seeing their story unfolding throughout the book. I couldn’t get enough of their incredible story and was slightly saddened when it came to an end because I didn’t want it to end. I was on the edge of my seat most of the time while reading this book. The story is beautifully written, exceptionally balanced and phenomenally executed by Jade Marshall. She continues to showcase what an amazing author and writer she is with each book I’ve read by her thus far. Each book I’ve read by Jade Marshall, including this one, has been absolutely fantastic, I absolutely enjoy reading the various types of genre stories that Jade Marshall creates and writes. The Cheerleader is definitely a dark paranormal romance story that would be given as a suggestion for anyone who has an interest in reading this kind of romance story. I can’t wait to see what Jade Marshall’s next story will be about.

What a wonderful Omgaverse story. We follow Juliet and Abel. He is her father's best friend and his boss. They both have feelings for each other but he doesn't show it and is grumpy towards her, and they both fight their feelings until it doesn't work anymore and they give in and Juliet finally gives in to what she wants and comes to terms with what she is and goes for a future with Abel. A real page turner and recommended to read.

Always like when the Alpha fights against the inevitable. Mishaps happen and you have to rescue your omega and then realize she is your fated mate. The was funny, sweet with just the right amount of heat.

Juliet is The Cheerleader (one of the best burlesque dancers) at Dark Side of the Moon. Abel is the owner and boss of the establishment. He knows that there is something going on with Juliet, but doesn't know that she's hiding her Omega status. Juliet knows that she doesn't want to give into the mating call and fights as hard as she can against it. Will these two get over their hesitations and find their mate....?

Juliet is a 19 yr old, hidden omega, working as The Cheerleader at Dark Side of the Moon, a burlesque dancer. One of the rules there is to never break character and to always use a scent suppressor patches while there. Abel, is the owner of the place and he, to her, is hot. He is an Alpha and also one of her father’s friends at pushing 40. Abel finds Juliet to be gorgeous, but she is his best friend’s daughter, so she is off limits. Until, one night where hers falls off during a set and the Alphas in the audience begin to smell that she is an omega. Abel saves her because he realizes that she is HIS mate. However, he fights it for all he is worth. But, she wants him and doesn’t let him get away with it. The whole book is fun, funny, steamy, weirdly romantic, as well as a few shock factors. I had a lot of fun reading the book and can’t wait to see what happens next.

This is a scorching read and the tension is high with some serious attraction between Juliet and Abel. It heavily focuses on the age gap aspect and has a will they, won’t they vibe. This is a steamy, sweet and romantic read.

This is another fun and hot read that has an omega, Juliet, hiding her status with a patch and dancing at Abel's club. These two are attracted to each other but fight it hard until her patch fails and her heat hits hard. As his angst escalates over not being good enough and also her father's friend, she knows what and who she wants, and doesn't let him walk away from fate ;D Expect to feel the heat as these two work their way to a fab HEA ;D

Fighting for what's hers

The epilogue provides a satisfying conclusion for our female main character. She has transformed from a fearful girl into a strong woman who embraces her identity and no longer feels afraid. I never anticipated that the dynamics between the main characters would shift, but I am proud of her growth. Their connection has empowered her to confront her fears, revealing that she is stronger than she ever realized. While many might have given up in the face of rejection, she chose to stay and fight for him. Throughout this journey, she discovered her true strength!

Spicy, complex and taboo. He’s twice her age and her father’s friend. They started as enemies, and he was troubled, but she made the effort to make sure they stayed together. Definitely not sweet, but a great escape to the wild side.

He was in denial, when his Wolf scented her, he was pushing to get out and claim his mate! Juliet had tried to hide who and what she was but for some reason her boss Abel was her one weakness and when things got out of hand was she ready to accept her fate? Whew! This is a super hot read, an Alpha in denial even though he had to claim his mate and his mate willing to do anything to claim what is hers.

Abel oversees his club while keeping everyone at arms length until his best friends daughter shows up needing a job. She's hiding her true nature until one little slip causes a ton of issues. I enjoyed this story, even if Abel's wishy-washy behavior was a bit annoying at times.

Jade Marshall knows how to get right in the feels when it comes to shifter romance! Abel is all things older, demanding, possessive and hot!! This is book 3 of the Dark Side of the Moon series and it did not disappoint! Juliet and Abel are deliciously combustible together! Add in the drama, danger, intensity, hot shifter mating, hot older alpha male, angst, and all the steamy spice and you have a book you can't put down! I enjoyed the writing, the characters, and the story line was unique! Plus as soon as I read the dedication at the beginning, I knew I was gonna love it!
