Reverse Rescue
I have to say that I was very impressed with the story and the boldness of Callie. Mancuso is the typical Mafia guy but Callie really was a breath of fresh air. She wasn't mean, just honest. And that was the draw. Kudos Jade!!!!
Cammareri Family, 3
Callie Murdoch
After the worst day of my life, I wasn’t expecting to end up at the Cammareri Compound. But that’s what I get for being a good Samaritan. Now I have a trigger-happy idiot glaring at me, the head of the family meddling in my business, and a sexy olive-skinned sex god making all kinds of dirty promises. What is a girl to do?
Mancuso Cammareri
I’m a man, not a child. Surely, I can handle a deal with a stranger without my brothers for backup. Apparently not. Even though everything falls apart and I end up bleeding in the street, I wouldn’t change a single thing. If I hadn’t shown up to that deal, I never would have been saved by a fiery angel. I never would have fallen in love. But life is never as simple as getting a happily ever after. You have to fight to keep the things you want. And this is going to be an all-out war.
Excerpt:
“Are you dense?” she hisses at me with a glare.
“What?”
“You know they haven’t found the person that shot you, right? And you’re sitting here in the damn street with a neon sign pointing you out.”
“What?”
“I swear to God, if you say what one more time…” She shakes her head. “Pull your car around the side and come upstairs.”
She turns and leaves me staring after her jean-short-clad ass for long moments before my brain kicks in gear and I do exactly what she told me. Not that I should be doing it. It’s only once I am on the stairs that I realize I should have driven home, away from her.
“Do you want a beer?” she calls from inside and I know it’s too late to turn around now.
“Sure,” I say walking inside.
For long moments, I take in the apartment around me. In one corner, a dark couch that has seen better days is pushed against a mint green wall. In the center of the room stands a ladder, a paint can, and some paintbrushes. One of the walls has already been painted a light sand color, the chemical smell clinging to everything.
Callie hands me an open beer before walking toward the kitchen counter and hopping onto it. She lifts her own beer to her lips, and I watch in fascination as her throat works while she drinks some of the contents.
“What brings you around?’ she asks after wiping her lips with the back of her hand.
I hear the words, but I don’t know how to reply. My gaze is locked on her legs, the flesh exposed by the denim shorts she is wearing.
“I wanted to check in on you,” I lie before taking a sip of my beer.
“I’m fine.”
I take in the sparse apartment once more before turning my attention back to her. “Our definition of fine seems to be very different.”
She laughs. She actually laughs at me. “You’re spoiled,” she says with a shrug. “This is more than I have ever had on my own. It’ll take me a minute to get it the way I want it, but I love the independence.”
“I could help,” I start to say but she waves me off.
“Not everything can be fixed with money.”
I walk closer to her, drawn to the enigma that is Callie. I am so used to women throwing themselves at me and wanting me for my money and power that I honestly don’t know how to handle a woman like her. Her independence is refreshing. The way she fights to stand on her own without any help is intoxicating. Since the moment I woke, all I can think about is this woman with her mocha skin and fire truck red hair.
I know I have no business getting involved with someone like her, with any woman for that matter, but I’m tired of being alone. Of giving up everything I want, and every chance at happiness to put my family first. Maybe we would be able to make this work. Maybe not. What I do know is I crave her and I am done holding myself back.
Placing my beer beside her on the counter, I press her knees apart and step in between. I wait for her to say or do something. When she doesn’t, I pull her closer and press my lips to hers.
I have to say that I was very impressed with the story and the boldness of Callie. Mancuso is the typical Mafia guy but Callie really was a breath of fresh air. She wasn't mean, just honest. And that was the draw. Kudos Jade!!!!
This is really quite steamy book it’s really good and the best part is if you don’t have a lot of time to read, and you want to read the whole book this one isn’t very long
I enjoy Mancuso and Callie’s story. They had great chemistry together. It was an entertaining and intriguing read. I got a copy of the book and voluntarily leaving this review.
Book three in an awesome series. Details storyline with action packed scenes. Plot twists to keep my attention from the first page to the last. Suspenseful twists and multi layered characters. Unique relationship between characters. Loved this book!!
This is my first book of this series and first time reading a book by author Jade Marshall! It was well worth the read!! I throughly enjoyed this book! It was very well written, highly entertaining and held my attention captive! The characters were captivating and engaging! It was steamy and spicy with just the right amount of heat! The story had developed characters and flowed effortlessly! It was a quick and easy read that I would highly recommend!
Mancuso is Book 3 of the Cammareri Family series. It's a short and steamy, opposites-attract, BWWM, curvy girl gets her morally gray hunk dark romance. Callie is a sarcastic, sassy, and curvy mechanic. Mancuso is a hunky member of the Cammareri crime family. When Callie catches her fiancé Kevin, cheating on her with her roommate, in her bed, she loses it. When she leaves, she comes across Mancuso, laying in the street shot and bleeding after a deal goes bad. She stops to help him and ends up at his family compound. The two have an insane attraction to one another, and things get hot and S-T-E-A-M-Y. Their chemistry was pure fire. I loved this couple. Callie was just one fierce chick, and Mancuso was completely swoon-worthy in how he loved and worshipped her. There is a lot of danger, drama, and angst before our happy ending. I loved it and need to go back and read the first 2 books in the series.
this is a good read. Mancuso gets shot and is fading fast. Callie finds him in the middleof road and helps him. Now they have a bond that is strong.
Callie is a couple weeks away from marring the man she's been with since high school. She gets off work and thinks that her roommate is hooking up with some random guy but walked in on her roommate with her fiance. After taking her Vengeance on him she leaves and comes across a bleeding man in the middle of the road. Mancuso was shot and collapsed in the road. He thinks that's where his life is going to end when a car stops and what he thinks is an angel gets out.
Okay, so Mancuso. The name alone sounds intriguing, right? This story kicks off with Callie Murdoch having what can only be described as the absolute WORST day ever. We're talking catching-your-fiancé-cheating-in-your-own-bed-with-your-roommate levels of bad. Naturally, any sane person would grab a baseball bat (which Callie does, go girl!) and then maybe go for a drive to cool off. And that's where fate steps in, because Callie, being the good Samaritan she is, stumbles upon Mancuso Cammareri bleeding out in the street after a deal gone south. Now, Callie knows the Cammareri name – and let's just say it's not associated with knitting circles. But being a good person (and maybe a little bit drawn to the wounded, albeit trigger-happy, Mancuso), she takes him straight to the Cammareri compound. And that's where the fun really begins. If you are already a fan of the Cammareri Family series, or if you love mafia romances, insta-love stories, super spicy reads with a side of danger and humor, then Mancuso is absolutely for you. If you like strong, no-nonsense heroines who can handle themselves and heroes who are sweet but also totally alpha and protective, you will devour this book. Just be ready for a fast-paced, slightly over-the-top, but utterly enjoyable ride! A fun, spicy, and engaging addition to the Cammareri Family series that earns a solid 4 out of 5 stars. Mancuso delivers on the promise of entertainment, heat, and family drama, making it a highly recommended read for fans of insta-love, mafia romance, and strong, sassy heroines.
This book is filled with action and features a strong, snarky woman. Mancuso gets injured while conducting family business, and Callie finds him lying in the road. This happens after she discovers her fiancé in bed with her roommate. Callie certainly makes him wish he had never done that. During the time spent with Mancuso, Callie starts to fall hard for him, and he feels the same way about her. This book kept me hooked until the end. Yes, Mancuso and Callie get their happily ever after, along with plenty of steam!
Mancuso is a phenomenal dark romance which I found to be completely captivating from beginning to end. This novel follows the adventures of Callie and Mancuso. The characters are fabulously written and beautifully executed throughout the story. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know both Callie and Mancuso as well as seeing their story unfolding throughout the pages of this amazing dark romance. I absolutely did NOT want to put my phone down until I read the last page of Mancuso. This novel is phenomenally written, well balanced and beautifully executed by Jade Marshall. Jade Marshall continues to show what a phenomenal author she is with each book I have read by her thus far. I can’t wait to see what Jade Marshall will create and write for her next romance story. I would HIGHLY recommend this amazing book for anyone to checkout and give it a read.
I loved this book so much. Jade Marshall always writes such excellent stories. I have yet to find one I do not like.

I loved reading Callie and Mancuso’s story in Mancuso by Jade Marshall. All Callie wanted to do was help the wounded man ,what she didn’t expect was to find out that he’s part of a dangerous family and that he has claimed her. Although she knows it’s dangerous she can’t help but be drawn to him to but they have others who are determined to keep them apart.
This is a short story. This is Callie and Mancuso story. Callie found her boyfriend cheating and Mancuso is reckless. What will happen when she tries to save Mancuso? What will happen when his family takes her to the compound? What are the feelings happening between them? I think you will like this journey.
She was just doing what she thought was right. After the day that she had he was lucky that she stopped. When she brought him home everything changed for them. When he came to he wasn't sure what had come of her, little did he know that she was still there. She never felt like she fit in anywhere until there, this family may be hers some day. When lines are crossed between them she keeps things secret longer then necessary. I would love to see what the future holds for all of these characters.
What a wonderful story, we are taken along in the life of Mancuso and Callie. Callie can handle herself just fine and also holds her own against her ex who cheated on her. Everything went reasonably well until she meets Mancuso who is bleeding a lot, she helps him back to his family and then it dawns on him what kind of man he is and that he belongs to the mafia. There is action, drama, action, danger, violence and enough romance and steam between them. I enjoyed their story and can recommend it to everyone!
This book was very good. The series is just wonderful and the way it is written it flows so good. Loved the characters and their story so much. Definitely a must read.
This is my first book of this series and I had to stop and go read the first two. It was well worth it. I enjoyed each of the previous two books and this one is no exception. The characters are engaging, the heat between them is just right and the story flowed, I was at the end before I knew it.
This is the third story in the "Cammareri" crime family series. I have read the first two and enjoyed them both. I enjoyed this one just as much, except the end. You do not have to read them in order though. Of course, there are connected characters but this one is about Mancuso, the baby of the brothers, and Callie, a fierce and very independent lady. It is a fairly quick read that is steamy and sweet with some dark aspects and a touch of danger. Mancuso, deemed the reckless brother, finds himself in a life or death situation. He escapes but is injured and finally can run no more. Callie, is brutally honest and doesn't hold back. She loves being a mechanic but hates working for the pig she works for. She shares an apartment with the receptionist at the shop she works. She comes home to find her roomie and fiancé getting it on like Donkey Kong. She grabs her bat and takes things into her own hands. Then goes for a ride. She finds a man injured in the road. She follows his orders and takes him where he requested. This girl has no fear and gives as good as she gets. Mancuso is saved by an angel and is very intrigued by her. I enjoyed their story even the wonderful surprise. I have loved the prior two but feel this one was very rushed in the end.
Such a wonderful book! I loved it and couldn't put it down! Devoured each and every word and will definitely check out more works by Marshall
Saving the life of a mafia family member on the worse day of her life, changes Callie's life for ever. But is it for the worse or the better? Lovely short read.
All praise goes to the FMC. I liked her. She’s honest and clearly a good woman. No wonder Mancuso fell for her and was readily accepted by his family.
So good! I have read the other novels in this series and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I love a great mafia novel where the heroine is fearless and innocently gets sucked into their world when being a good samaritan. This novel just checked so many boxes for me. I was so excited to jump back into this series and I was not disappointed. I loved it! From the first chapter I was pulled back into this story and it held on tight until the very last page. I loved Callie. She is having a horrible day after finding her boyfriend cheating she happens on an injured Mancuso in the road and helps him. I loved the chemistry between Callie and Mancuso. I loved watching their defenses and walls being lowered and fall in love. Once I started reading I couldn't put this novel down. I needed to know what was happening next. So good! I can hardly wait to see what this author has coming next. Loved it!
Definitely not a cute meet for Callie and Mancuso! I loved how she fit into his family in this dark romance filled with dysfunctional characters.
Mancuso Cammareri is out handling his business when it all goes wrong. Callie is running from the dumpster fire her life has just become. The two stumble across each other and Callie helps him without knowing the implications of that help. The two are drawn to each other like magnets and when trouble comes knocking they handle it together.
Mancuso by Jade Marshall is the third book in the Cammareri Family series. He doesn't need his brother to do for him, until he finds out that he does. But by going to the meet, he was rescued by a gorgeous angel. This is a steamy mafia romance with all the requirements for a good read.
Loved it. It's my first in the series and I can't wait to read the first two. This is Callie and Mancuso story, I loved the hot chemistry and their story, I was hooked from the start,
Callie had had a bad day that got worse when she helped a man bleeding out in the street. Mancuso had a bad day that got better when he was rescued by an angel. His family is absolutely hilarious in their reactions to Mancuso’s situation and his savior. I loved their story and was sucked in by the rest of the family. Callie and Mancuso are spicy hot and absolutely adorable together. Now I have to read the rest of the series to learn more about his family.
Callie is not weak-willed. Catching her fiancé cheating with her roommate means it is time to bring out the baseball bat. Finding Mancuso shot and lying in the road is just one more thing for her. He is part of the Cammareri family, but it doesn't cow Callie. She goes toe to toe with them. Mancuso is drawn to Callie, however he keeps getting in his own way. Liked the story. Loved how Callie interacted with all of them.
Mancuso by Jade Marshall is the third book in the Cammareri Family Series. Mancuso is the reckless baby of the family and when he puts himself in harm’s way he is rescued by fiery Callie Murdoch. Callie is having a no good very bad day highlighted by catching her boyfriend in the act of cheating! Finding a wounded man in the middle of the road does not augment her circumstances, but being a good person, she goes into rescue mode only to fall into the orbit of a crime family. Fearless Callie is not fazed by her new companions and Mancuso is undeniably attractive. When Mancuso resurfaces from his injury it looks like Callie is firmly entrenched in his family, his only complaint is that he wants her attention firmly on him. Will he be able to take his foot out of his mouth and express his growing feelings or will the trouble he is in follow him to Callie’s door? Ms. Marshall has created a fun, sensual book with elements of danger and insta-love. Callie is a true force of nature, and I enjoyed Mancuso’s sweet yet take-charge personality.
After catching her fiancee cheating on her in her bed with her roommate, Callie grabs a baseball bat... She is tired of people thinking she isn't able to do her job (she's a mechanic), tired of people wanting her to be more demure (she says what's on her mind), and as she drives to help calm down, she happens upon Mancuso- who is bleeding out on the street. Of course, Callie knows the Cammareri name and when he tells her to take him to the family home, she takes him. I love Callie's no-nonsense way and her general look on life. I also love how the Cammareri men adore her (yes, Severu, too) and she really becomes part of the family- with or without Mancuso realizing his feelings.
Love this family characters are unique and easy to like enjoyed their interactions. Love this FMC quirky blunt and actually has a skill. Good story setup moves really well. Sex is passionate moderately to well described but doesn't overpower the story. Really enjoyed the dynamic between the two main characters and enjoyed how they resolved their issues. I would definitely read the next book.
Mancuso is the third book in the Cammareri Family series. You gotta love the reckless baby of the family. Mancuso finds a way to put his life in jeopardy, literally, and find the woman of his dreams all in the same day. Callie is the perfect woman for him and fits perfectly with the Cammareri family. She is fiercely independent and not afraid to take a stand or speak her mind, which makes her perfect for Mancuso. The book is an entertaining page-turning quick read with mafioso action, steamy hot romance, characters that keep you engaged, drama, and a bit of suspense. I look for more from the series as the DeLucas have definitely crossed a line.
Callie is having a really bad day, she just caught her fiancé in bed with her roommate, just two weeks before the wedding. She escapes her apartment and sees a man lying in the road covered in blood. He wants her take him home, to the Cammareri Compound, great now she is dealing with the mob. Mancuso thought he could handle this deal without his brothers and ends up shot and found by an angel. I loved the interaction between her and one of his brothers, it was entertaining. This is a fast paced and a steamy read.
There is nothing better to meet a woman who is a straight shooter with her words and doesn't back down from anything. She stands up to tough Mafia men like they are nothing and beats up her ex-fiance for cheating on her. Callie has always been tough and now that she has no family or friends she finds herself on her own after beating up her cheating ex. She almost runs over a guy lying in the alley bleeding out and she helps him up and takes him to his family. Finding out when she pulls up its the Cammareri Family. They all take her in and make her their family even going so far to buy her a mechanic shop and she is now the boss. Mancuso tried to keep his distance from her but finds he cannot. I love the way Callie just puts him in his place and the chemistry these two have is off the charts. It was such a good read I cannot wait to read what the next one can bring us.
Mancuso finds himself in a bit of a sticky situation and who better to help him than Callie. She gets him home to his family, the Cammareri's then unexpectedly finds herself a whole new family. Mancuso has no idea what's hit him when it comes to her. She's a fierce, takes no prisoners kind of woman and gladly sets him in his place. The push and pull between these two is smoldering and the chemistry is off the charts HOT. Their story isn't all rainbows and roses and they aren't the rainbows and roses type of people but they're utterly for each other.
Callie is no wall flower and can hold her own even against her cheating ex, but when she comes across a bleeding put Mancuso, she takes him to his family and finds out just what type of mam he is, Mafia! They set her up with her own garage, but Mancuso can't keep away for what he desires. Well written engaging steamy desires, and more!
