Excerpt:
“What is wrong with you?” she shouted. He seemed to believe she was lying about being attracted to him.
Why? Was he just being difficult? Or did he feel he was damaged goods?
She disappeared into her bedroom and returned to toss a sheet, blanket, and pillow at him. “Gigantic asses sleep on the couch.” For the moment, his reason didn’t matter. He was being an asshole, and she’d tolerate only so much assiness.
The aggravating male shrugged, spread out the sheet, propped the pillow on the armrest, and tossed the blanket onto the cushions. She leaned against the doorjamb, determined to unnerve him by staring.
Darius glanced at her. He grinned, the snake tat moving in sync with his wicked smile. Pulling his tee overhead, he lobbed it onto the floor. With his fingers on his zipper, he slid it open, inch by tantalizing inch.
Zora let out shaky, slow breaths.
“Are you sticking around for the whole show?” His brows rose.
“Yep.” A soft moan left her mouth. No one had ever elicited such a response from Zora.
“I aim to please.”
This was a thrilling read throughout. He longed to be with someone but past mistakes doesn’t help until he becomes a bodyguard for a succubus and the flame ignites. I recieved a free copy via Booksprout and I’m giving my review freely and honestly
A good addition to the blood coven world. Enjoyed the grumpy Sunshine dynamic and snappy banter. I liked the instant attraction but he doesn't feel he's good enough vibe. The addition of the stalker was good for the story but too easily resolved.
This is the first book I've read written by T.M. Smith; I can’t wait to read more of her books. This is the second book in the Blood Coven World Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Zora & Darius.
Darius and Zora were perfect together. Both had the same Appetites and fit together in personalities really well. Darius had a hard time believing that Zora could want him despite his scar, so he avoided getting close to her. But zora showed him that what she felt for him was real and his scar didn’t matter. It’s a short story, but I didn’t feel that anything was lacking. It was really good.
This is a new short and quick read in the Blood Coven World. It is a steamy, entertaining and a fast paced story with some danger, suspense and good twists. The story is about Zora and Darius. It is a very enjoyable addition to the series. I like the classic fairy tale twist on this story.
This second installment of TBCW was well written and kept me coming back for more thanks to the endearing characters. I can't wait to see what T.M. Smith has in store for us next.
I really enjoyed this one. Darius and Zora are to beings that don't feel like they belong. They are different. They both want more, a relationship. Darius has trouble getting over his scars and has a hard time thinking anyone, Zora included, could look past them. I really loved seeing these two navigate their attraction, relationship building, her stalker, etc. I loved every bit of it.
In the 5th century AD, the Blood Coven divided the world into 3 realms: Scath, Darque and Earth. This book is set in Scath. The majority of those who live in this realm are Aeternals and the majority do not have flaws. However, Darius, one of the great warriors of the Firebrands, they protected the realm and Darius was Jarek’s second in command. Zora worked at the Ministry of Well Being, and Alarik is her boss. She is a succubus and she feels like she is being stalked. After she gets some notes/letters, she tells her boss and Jarek assigns Darius to her as protection. Things get scary and Darius protects her and I immediately knew who was stalking her. I really enjoyed the book and I can’t wait to read more about these realms. I really liked that Zora didn’t give a fig about Darius’ scars.
I was expecting the typical long book that is typical for this series, but unfortunately this book was rather short!! Even though it was short it did wrap up a very steamy HEA for one of the characters featured in the other books. With the being said I would love to see more books like this that help the other Firebrands reach their HEA’s!!
This one was a quick read. The story itself is about 50 pages but we do get a bonus sample chapter from another book. The story was well-written overall and there was plenty of spice for the length. There was a little tension between characters, which makes it a little more exciting than just spice throughout. I loved this and I look forward to more!
This is my first time reading a book by this author. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and it was a great start to a new fresh series. I can't wait to hop into the next book!
What I liked about Darius was his realization that he was not just a scarred warrior. He felt inferior and unworthy of being loved because his physical appearance made him stand out in a negative way. But having the very attractive Zora's attention and focus showed him that what is inside matters more.
The second story in the Blood Coven World This is succubus Zora and her Firebrand bodyguard Darius, who is a very damaged man both inside and outside. An engaging story that kept me turning as she gets him to see he is more than he realizes. I enjoyed seeing them get their happy ending. I received a free of this book via Evernight and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This short read was amazing. Read over my lunch break. As I couldn't stop until it was finished. A stalker and a protector. Can he protect her from the stalker? Does she know who the stalker is? Great book.
Darius has a scar on his face and thinks no one could like him. Zora is a succubus who wants more than one night stands to sustain her. Zora needs a protector and she finds that in Darius. The chemistry was hot and I loved their connection. This was definitely a great read.
This was an enjoyable and complete short story. Darius is an immortal warrior who is physically scarred and thereby emotionally scarred. He is stands out from immortal beings with his scar and is often shunned by females. Zora is a succubus who is atypical among her species. She does not seek to hop from bed to bed, indiscriminately. A starker puts these two lonely being together. Both seek a relationship, but fear they will never be accepted for who they are inside. Darius finds it hard to believe that Zora is really attracted to him. He doesn't think anyone can see passed his scars. This book has attraction, vulnerability, obessession, heat and a little action. If you like all that, I think you will enjoy this read.
Steamy Beauty and the Beast Entertaining Read! Darius longed for someone to spend his life with but due to a past mistake, he was meant to spend his life alone! Zora was being stalked and when her savior in the form of the Firebrand Darius enters her office, wham she wanted him but convincing him was proving a lot harder than she thought. The sizzle and chemistry between them lights up the pages as they work together to find her stalker! A hot steamy emotional roller coaster of a read with a sexy Succubus and her Djinn Warrior!
This is a short fast book about the firebrand and the succubus. She is being stalked and he is the one brought in to protect her. There are a few hot scenes and its a very short read.
? ARC Review ? The Firebrand's Succubus by T.M. Smith is a new author for me. I was intrigued by the story description, not knowing anything about the Firebrand World. T.M. provides enough backstory to enjoy this snippet of a story. We jump right into some fäst 'n dïrty sëxy äctïon with Darius satisfying his needs at a blud den. We find out he is a highly skilled firebrand djinn warrior, 2nd in command of the region and scarred. It is his scars that create an ongoing barrier for him in a world that values surface level beauty. Zora is a confident, smart, beautiful, titillating succubus. She is in danger, there is a stalker in her life. Darius is brought in by her Boss to protect her. They are combustible together and the sex is spïcƴ in all the best ways! ?? I very much enjoyed Darius & Zora. ? I only wished this was a longer story.
