Forgotten Rebels MC, 2

They say you can never go home, but Abbott has traveled a long way to find the love of her life again. She and Chadwick “Wick” Edwards had been high school sweethearts, but when he got the opportunity to become a member of The Forgotten Rebels Motorcycle Club, he left without saying good-bye.

Wick knows he screwed up by leaving Abbott behind, but he honestly thought she’d be better off without him. Little did he know that out of heartbreak she turned to the first man to show her kindness…only to become a survivor of mental and physical abuse.

Wherever she goes, her tormentor finds her. After ten years she’s tired of running and so goes back to Wick. Their passion sparks and love rekindles, but when Abbott is targeted, Wick must do very wicked things to make sure she stays alive.

Be Warned: public exhibition

Excerpt:

Chadwick sat with his head bent as he read some piece of paper. Larger than life. Beautiful. Gruff. And she could barely believe she was looking at him. That this moment was real. His hair was still the same beautiful shade of brown, but a little longer since it brushed his shoulders. He seemed bigger. More muscular. His leather cut fit his body like a second skin. She closed the door behind her with a soft click then waited for him to acknowledge her.

“What is it?” he asked. The hand over his mouth muffled his words slightly.

She didn’t answer.

He lifted his head, and she watched the exasperation disappear instantly as their gazes met. Held. He blinked, as if not sure what he was seeing. Desire pooled in her stomach. The need to hold him. Touch him. Kiss him, because almost overwhelming.

“Abbott?” he asked softly. Hesitantly.

“Hello, Chadwick,” she managed to say through bone dry lips. The butterflies in her belly were doing somersaults. The high expectation she’d had for this very moment rolled together with her nerves, and she wasn’t sure what to do. She didn’t know how to stand, or what do to with her hands.

He stood up so fast, the chair rolled away from him to crash into the wall. She jumped, and her heart accelerated with a slight thrill that shot down to her pussy. Wetness flooded her panties from his forceful display. “Am I dreaming this?”

She shook her head. “No. I hope I’m not disturbing you.”

He didn’t say anything, not for a long moment. His blue eyes stayed frozen upon her face. He didn’t blink. He didn’t move. She almost thought he didn’t even breathe.

“Who let you in?” he finally asked.

It was not the romantic words she was hoping for. He simply sat there, staring at her, and it made her a little nervous.

“No one,” she replied and hugged herself in a protective gesture. “Am I bothering you? Should I go?”

“Don’t you dare fucking move,” he said tersely. “I’ve been picturing you across from me for eleven years. I’m trying to determine if I’m hallucinating and if I am, I don’t want the fucking antidote.”

Her heart melted. She knew exactly how he felt.

Thrilling page turner!!
Written by Wendy Livingstone on 28th Aug 2022

This is the 2nd book in this series, and this is Wick and Abbott’s journey. These two were high school sweethearts, until Wick leaves without a word to join the Army. Wick thought leaving Abbott she would have a better life, but how wrong he is. Abbott has been mentally and physically abused, and every time she runs her tormentor finds her. After 10-years of running Abbott goes to see Wick, who is now retired from the Army, and is the President of the Forgotten Rebels MC. Wick will do whatever he must to protect and keep Abbott safe. This is a well written story which has heartbreak, survival, emotions, passion, tension, turmoil, twists, vengeance, justice, intrigue, suspense, danger, 2nd chances, and love, which leads to a thrilling and addictive page turner. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I love a second chance romance and this sure fits the bill. After 11 years apart, Wick is thrilled to have a way back into Abbott's life - especially if he gets to be her hero ;D This was an entertaining read with suspense and steam, and I was thrilled to see them work through his mistakes, and her ex, to finally find an HEA.

Wick and Abbott
Written by weaveswife on 19th Aug 2022

Wick and Abbott have loved each other since they were teens. He took off without telling her and broke her heart. Years later she finds him again. She needs his protection. They had already been talking online and once in the presence of each other they take off where they were. They are so good together. Wick is completely devoted to her and she the same. I really loved these two. It was great to see Kix and Piper again too.

Can their past relationship be reignited
Written by memes on 7th Aug 2022

Abbott and Wick dated years ago and were very close, until one day he decides to join the Army and doesn't tell her, he just disappears. After that Abbott becomes involved in an abusive relationship and is stalked by her abuser when she leaves. Abbott goes to Wick for help years later (he's retired from the Army and President of a MC) and their connection is still there. The encounters between Abbott and Wick are pretty steamy. There's some suspense woven throughout nearly the entire story, will Abbott be able to get free of her stalker ex? The story contains some turmoil within the MC that Wick has to work through. This book is part of a series, although I think you can still enjoy this book without having read the other one.

WICKED MAN
Written by JJ on 7th Aug 2022

Young love that falls off the tracks. Wick wants to be part of an MC and needs to serve his country to do so, he leaves without a word to a woman that he knows means so much to him. Abbott was last to know as he left without a word. She finds out and in her hurt let's go of him and gets swept up with Billy. Too bad this is no Prince Charming, he's a part of her nightmare that sends her on the run. She also has a secret that she fears will change the love Wick has for her. Can they let go of past situations and see this as a 2nd chance for love? I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

Wick And Abbott
Written by Gkp2460 on 7th Aug 2022

Wicked Man is my introduction to this new to me author and is a great, fast paced, second chance romance story. The chemistry between Wick and Abbott is over the top hot. Wick is determined that this time around he's not letting Abbott go for any reason and that includes a crazy ex bent on eliminating her. Their story draws you in and holds you there from the first to the last page.

Long and Short Reviews
Written by undefined on 4th Feb 2017

Beth D. Carter delivered another great biker romance that easily captured my attention and refused to let go until the end. I loved this lead couple, Wick and Abbott, mostly because they were both so likeable and had such a great back story. This MC romance ahd a dark edge but at the same time it was a sweet second time around love story. The talented author made it easy for me to connect with these flawed characters. Wick was pretty much a jerk for leaving Abbott without even word of goodbye, but then she made seriously questionable choices that led to her desperately running from a stalker. Now she made it back to Wick, but her stalker always seemed to be one step ahead of the game. In a nutshell, I enjoyed this sexy suspenseful second chance biker romance. It was well written and fast paced and loaded with angst and drama. Also, now I have Heart’s book to look forward to in the future. His predicament sounded interesting and so I can’t wait for it.

The Romance Reviews
Written by Rachel's Willful Thoughts on 23rd Sep 2016

With no place else to go, Abbott seeks safety in the arms of Chadwick after 11 years apart. In the second book of the Forgotten Rebels MC series, author Beth Carter delivers a hot and spicy read in WICKED MAN. Since I had read the first installment, I was eager to learn more about the mystery woman who had been communicating with Chadwick online. While the story can be read as a standalone, I would encourage staying in sequence for full enjoyment. From the beginning, there is a whirlwind of heat as Abbott and Chadwick reconnect. With Abbott in danger, Chadwick and the Forgotten Rebels MC will do whatever it takes to keep her safe. It's the panty-melting heat between the two that sucked me into the story, but the author did a fantastic job packing in plenty of drama within the pages to keep me interested. It's a relatively quick read, but it left me satisfied. - See more at: http://erotic.theromancereviews.com/viewbooksreview.php?bookid=22493#sthash.2vuq4czM.dpuf

Phycho exes dont you just love them
Written by Angie Mitchell on 3rd May 2016

ARC recieved for an honest review This book is packed full of things happening it is fast paced, now I happen to like fast paced books, in this instance I do feel it misses a bit of continuity and flow how did they meet up again online. The hero doesnt strike me as an internet chat room sort of guy! I think that this story would have suited a longer book and the tenscion could have been built more doing this. I also umderstand her going back to be protected but i felt that she disnt give him enough grief for walking away when she was younger. That said both leads had a good connection and the sex in the book was good. It has been edited on the whole well I only spotted one obvious issue and it was a really small one. So overall a good story
