The Alpha Shifter Collection, 9

Abused and expelled from her pack for being fat, Cassie has to find a new alpha, one that is willing to take her with her flaws. She has heard of Abel, an alpha with a bad temper, who was expelled from his original pack and created his own in some mysterious way. She can only hope he will accept her.

Every person Abel takes into his pack has some flaw that has been rejected by others, but he doesn’t see flaws, just beauty. When he first sees Cassie, he knows he wants her. He senses the darkness and the strength inside her, and he has no choice but to use every single means possible to make her crack, so that she can use the strength that now terrifies her. Only by pushing her is he able to get under her skin and unleash the power that Cassie holds.

But Abel’s needs come flooding him. He’s the alpha, meant to be strong. No woman has ever been able to handle him. Has he found that woman in Cassie? Can she handle his brand of control? His need to protect?

Be Warned: bondage, spanking, anal sex

Excerpt:

Cassie was once again in the pool, and Abel stood back, watching her. She floated on her back, looking up at the sky through the glass he’d kept in place. He loved it when the moon was full and shining down on him.

They’d been training today, and he wanted to come and see if she was okay. He’d made her attack him, to unleash the full force of her rage. He didn’t have a single bruise on him, but he saw a couple of hers that hadn’t healed just yet.

His cock responded to the sight of her naked. She didn’t know he was there, or if she did, it didn’t show in the way she displayed herself.

Her tits were so big, with large nipples that he just wanted to press together as he teased them with his tongue.

She was a fuller woman, rounded in all the right places.

Since he’d caught her in his private room, she’d been avoiding him, he knew. He rarely saw her around his home, and today was the first time he had to actually summon her to get her near him.

Glancing down her body, he stared at the small patch of hair. Her thighs were closed as she floated along the water, which was a shame. He’d have loved to see her pretty, pink pussy.

Stepping out from his secluded spot, he was done being a voyeur or a peeping tom.

She gasped the moment she saw him, and quickly covered herself in the water.

“You don’t have to hide from me,” he said.

Abel didn’t even try to cover his arousal.

“Keep your eyes on me,” he said.

She didn’t look away as he peeled down his boxer briefs, uncovering his dick for her to see.

Wrapping his fingers around the length, he pumped his hand up and down before releasing his dick.

Climbing into the water, he prowled toward her.

She didn’t try to escape, and he was rather impressed with her.

Standing in front of her, he cupped her chin, and forced her to stand up and come toward him.

He didn’t hurt her. There was no need to.

Cassie followed his instruction as if it was something she had to do, and he fucking loved it, relished it even.

Running his thumb across her bottom lip, he stared into her green eyes and waited.

“I don’t want you avoiding me anymore,” he said.

“I’m not.”

“Are you going to lie to me?”

Long & Short Reviews
Written by Fern on 5th Oct 2018

Cassie has heard that Abel is pretty much the last resort for shifters looking to join an alpha. After being expelled from her own pack for being too large, she’s determined to fit in and be accepted by Abel’s pack. She didn’t want to turn Feral and be hunted down. Far from turning her away, Abel is excited by the challenge Cassie presents him. Strong and an incredible fighter when pushed, she is everything and more Abel could hope for in a woman. Cassie and Abel clash deliciously as they try to come together, but surely only one of them can come out on top? I found this to be an intense and emotional paranormal story. I liked that I didn’t feel as if I was missing big chunks of back-story – being #9 in a series is always a daunting place to start – but at no point did I feel like I needed to catch up or felt like things were going over my head. I was also a little worried by the title. “Bullied” had implications that I wasn’t sure I’d enjoy, but I was relieved to find that Abel wasn’t a bully in an abusive or macho-alpha-man type of way. He knew, firsthand, how difficult it was to be an outcast, to be weak, and so he insisted on all his pack being strong, being able to fight and defend themselves – no matter the repercussions. I still feel somewhat like “bullied” might have been a poor choice of word for the title, but I was very relieved that nothing abusive or over-the-top came through in the story. I really enjoyed Cassie’s character. I found her complicated, interesting and quite relatable. I loved how she had enormous strength and power, but had just been cowed by her previous pack into not wanting to relish or admit any of it. And while I feel Abel’s tactics might not be to everyone’s taste, the author did an amazing job in my opinion with not just explaining exactly where Abel’s mind and intentions were, but carrying me willingly along for the ride. Because I understood exactly where Abel was coming from I could appreciate it. There is plenty of steamy sex in the second half of this story – but I enjoyed the chemistry and attraction between Abel and Cassie from the start. Personally I enjoyed that there was a lot more plot than simply Abel and Cassie coming together and fitting together in the pack. This helped give the story a feeling of depth to me that I really enjoyed. The sex is slightly kinky – more about control than other BDSM elements – and while it might not be to everyone’s tastes I found it well written and not too over the top. A different and interesting story I enjoyed both Abel and Cassie’s characters and really enjoyed the plot. A good book I can easily recommend.

Night Owl Reviews

Sam Crescent knows exactly what fans of BBW paranormal romance want and this story definitely delivers. The heroine and hero, Cassie and Abel are a fabulous pairing. For all his rough ways Abel is a caring man who just wants to protect his pack. The fact he accepts members who many be considered rejects already made him a good man in my eyes. I could understand how hurt Cassie was by some of his actions, but his reasons far outweighed her temporary pain. I loved the emotion and the energy between the pages of "Bullied by the Alpha". As a rather shy woman I am hugely attracted to an Alpha male who knows what he wants and leaves no doubts. The supporting characters added depth and revealed pieces of both Cassie and Abel I wouldn’t have discovered without them. The chemistry between these two was absolutely explosive and I enjoyed the way the culmination was handled. Once again, I have picked up a book from this author and my high expectations were not only met but exceeded. If you, like me, like your heroines curvy, your heroes determined and your romances sultry this is a must read! The Story: Cassie has been shunned from her pack because she is fat. So she has asked to join Abel’s pack or risk being a lone wolf. Abel has no qualms accepting Cassie, but she must follow his rules because no one will take his pack from him. Cassie fights her attraction for Abel as well as her distrust in everyone and tries to fit in. But will Abel’s need to protect drive her away?

Good story
Written by Rhonda on 15th Aug 2018

I liked this book but for some reason, Cassie sort of ticked me off. I know Sam writes stories with the heroines who are curvy but it would be nice to see one that wasn't always down on herself for being curvy. I wanted to shake her and make her understand she was awesome just the way she was. Abel was good as the Alpha for his pack of misfits and he was a great match for Cassie!! All in all, this was a good story but I did like others better.

Wonderful

Cassie has been cast out of her pack. Knowing she will go feral if she doesn't find a new pack, she seeks out Abel's pack. Abel had left his own pack years ago and is the Alpha of a group of wolves looking for acceptance. When he sees Cassie he feels a spark, but Cassie is withdrawn fearing her own strength. Abel plans to make Cassie his mate, she doesn't know it but he is going to get to see the powerful woman he knows she is. This one was great. I liked the pace of it and was rooting for this couple. Another wonderful read by Sam Crescent.

"we'er all a little flawed in some way."
Written by Becca Jean on 29th Jul 2018

I love sexy, bossy alpha men. If they are wolves all the better. Cassie was abused by her pack. She needed a pack that would accept her. She was fat, useless and flawed according to her pack. Cassie just needed a sexy alpha to rescue her. Abel was the alpha for the job. I loved her journey. Sam Crescent is always a must read for me.

I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of Bullied by the alpha By Sam Crescent. Once again she has blown my mind with another phenomenal read. I couldn't put it down. I ended up reading it twice cause i couldnt get enough. The story was exciting and imaginative with enough heat to set off alarms. The characters were wonderfully written with undeniable chemistry between them. This is a definite must read that would be an absolute shame to miss out on reading.

Love this authors' Alphas!
Written by Eva P. on 29th Jul 2018

Sam Crescent’s latest story in the Alpha Shifter series is a great story with an even greater message. People who are different should not be discriminated against, we need to be accepting and show some common decency. Cassie was rejected by her pack because of her weight and because of her strength. She goes to Abel’s pack, whom he created with ‘discards’ from other packs and he’s made his pack members see their strengths. There’s a definite attraction between Abel and Cassie, but Cassie doesn’t think she is someone that can be loved. Abel has to use whatever methods he can to get her to see her inner and outer strengths. I felt like that was harsh for him to do but at the same time, it was what she needed to break out of her shell. I hope you all get a chance to read this amazing story! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book

Great read beginning to end!
Written by evam on 29th Jul 2018

Sam Crescent is an automatic buy for me whenever she releases a book, so I was thrilled to be given an ARC of Bullied by the Alpha. Cassie shows up at Abel’s pack of misfit and shunned wolves after being shunned by her pack and her own family for being too fat. She is scared and hurt and is instantly taken in by Abel’s pack provided she work to defend herself. Little does she know the spiritual growth she will undergo in her new pack. Abel can tell she has tremendous strength that she must learn to control, and recognizes that she has been deeply hurt by her old pack and family. He also realizes that she is the mate he has been waiting for. He has never wanted to claim any other women before, and when he claims her, she will be his for life. But is being overweight the only reason they shunned her? And if so, why are they so eager to get her back now? Abel and his pack will do anything, including killing and destroying Cassie’s old Alpha to protect her. This was a great read from beginning to end. Sam Crescent must have a very eclectic muse, as she writes across so many different genres and I always end up loving them all.

Sam Crescent has done it again. I've loved every book in this series, including this one. In fact, it may be my new favorite. I'd love an Able of my own :)
