“I’ve been busy and I didn’t want you to have to wait for your mail. I know how important it is for you to get it in a timely fashion.”
“Cut the crap, Nora. You’ve been avoiding me because I kissed you last night.”
It wasn’t exactly the kind of kiss you brush on the cheek. This had started out as a brush of the lips, but then his fingers had sunk into her hair and held her in place. Not in a bad way, but in such a good way. Her lips had tingled from the contact. So much of her body had tingled.
She couldn’t deny how desperate she was for him. And this terrified her. Gabriel was her boss. He was out of her league. She needed to get her brain back on track, and having dirty, sexual thoughts about her boss was not a good idea.
“You shouldn’t have kissed me last night,” she said, finally admitting it.
“Why not?” he asked.
This took her by surprise. She figured the whole boss and employee relationship was obvious, but if he needed her to spell it out for him, she was going to have to do that.
“You’re my boss,” she said. “You and I can’t happen.”
“Why?” he asked, folding his arms, and it was then she realized he wasn’t wearing a jacket and the sleeves of his shirt had rolled up.
She had noticed his thick arms before, but had they really been that big? They looked so good. For a split-second, or perhaps even longer, she thought about how good it would feel to be in those arms. Gabriel was strong. Nothing could break him down.
“Seriously, you’re my boss. What more is there to talk about? You’re a multimillionaire bus—”
“Billionaire,” he said, interrupting her.
“What?”
“I’m a multibillionaire as of a few years ago.”
She took a deep breath. “There you go. That doesn’t help. You’re rich. You’re the boss of this company. I’m just an employee and I work in the mail room. I lived on the streets, and we are so far apart it is unreal. I don’t know anything about you at all.”
There were so many other things she could list, but she figured they were enough to get him to see how incompatible they were.
“Do you want to get to know me?” he asked.
Okay, that she wasn’t expecting.
“Huh?”
“Well, you see, we’re both still human, unless you’re about to tell me you’re from a different planet. So, we’re the same species, and I’m a consenting adult, and you’re a consenting adult. Do you just not like me?” he asked.
“Of course I like you.”
“Then what is the problem?”
“You’re my boss. What is everyone going to think?” She dropped her arms to her sides. This was not sounding like a good argument. She looked at Gabriel and felt hopeless.
“Then we do this in secret if that is what is important to you, but I can’t get you out of my mind, Nora. I want you, and when I look at you, I have a feeling you want me too.” As he talked, he got closer to her.
Nora didn’t back away. She was not afraid of this man. A little nervous because he evoked feelings she had never felt before, and that was scary. So freaking scary. She took a deep breath and waited.
“Do you want me?” he asked.
He was suddenly in front of her and there was no way of escape.
“I have no idea what I’m doing,” she said.
“Then I’ll lead.” And with that, he kissed her. This was a soft kiss. Like the merest hint of lips just touching. Not too intense. Okay, she could handle this, even if it did make her toes curl in her shoes.
“No one needs to know, if you’re afraid of what people think.” He took possession of her lips. “And if you don’t know what you’re doing, then you’ll follow my instructions.”
I could not put this down. I needed to see how this ended. Gabriel and Nora were two of the most adorable characters ever. It was nice to see how well they trusted each other and any problems were handled together. I recommend this book to all romance readers.
Claimed by the Boss is a recent work by Sam Crescent, an author I adore. Nora (FMC) meets her billionaire boss Gabriel (MMC) in a classic romcom way - by pouring coffee all over him. Gabriel had noticed Nora before and was well on his way to infatuation. The coffee incident gave him the opening he needed to get to know Nora. I enjoyed how Gabriel was transparent about his feelings - his interest was plain and it was Nora he had to convince. Nora was admirable in so many ways. Life had really thrown her a curveball and instead of complaining, she went to work. I laughed (and secretly admired) how practical she was -- she went to the employee handbook to make sure it was OK to have a work relationship. I was rooting for her to have a HEA and Gabriel delivered though there were some twists and turns along the way. A highly entertaining read.
I really loved the story of Gabriel and Nora -- just incredible. This book held my interest all the way through which is not always the case. Every now and then you want a book that it like sweet tea on a summer night and this is my sweet tea -- surgery and sweet all the way to the last drop.
I am really enjoying this author I have been reading them for some time now I am thoroughly enjoying these Looking forward to more from them.
I assumed that this was going to be a spicy little office romance. Don't get me wrong it was spicy but it was sad. Nora losing her parents and her and Uncle deceiving her and taking everything. Gabriel's toxic relationship with his parents. It just was extremely sad to me. But everything worked out in the end.

Nora has had it rough since loosing her parents in an auto accident and falling into a coma. Her relatives took advantage of her injury and left her bereft. Now she is working hard to get her life back in order when her boss takes a special interest into her. Gabriel has not been able to get Nora out of his mind and when an opportunity to get closer to her presents itself he takes it! This was a sweet romance with a little drama that helps the story stay interesting. More of a sweet contemporary style romance genre.
Great story. Both Nora and Gabriel had parents that were horrible and tried to hurt them!! The story was on the shorter side but watching Nora and Gabriel work on their relationship was good. Not really a lot of drama but the story was super hot! I loved it!
It was love at first sight for Gabriel. Nora is a quiet woman who kept to herself but determined to make it in spite what life had thrown at her. She and Gabriel both have had disappointments when it comes to family but made a way for themselves. They meet when she is tripped and falls on him which starts their path. He is determined to get to know Nora and make her his. This heartfelt story is filled with drama that had me connecting with the two as I cheered for them to get their chance for happiness.

This book was sweet and I thought it was going to be predictable, but I was wrong. You will enjoy Gabriel and Nora’s story.

Our main characters may have come from different backgrounds, but they complemented each other perfectly. What they shared was something truly special—they were both genuine. He discovered someone who cherished him for who he truly was, not for his wealth. She stayed kind-hearted, no matter the challenges life presented. They are truly wonderful people, and I absolutely loved their happy ending!
Claimed by the Boss was a delightful, low key, HEA romance with a determined man and a female of strength. We do get a smidge of that Sam Crescent ‘edge’ sprinkled throughout, but this is not a dark romance, or even one skating the line - this is, at its core, a sweet-ish character driven romance -exactly as it was meant to be. There’s a reason I read this author, and this book didn’t disappoint.
At twenty-fve, Nora has lived quite the life already. She was in the car with her parents when they were killed in an accident. While she was in a coma, her aunt and uncle signed everything that should have been hers- to themselves. Due to their greed, Nora was homeless for a while, but she's back on her feet and working in the mailroom of Gabriel's company. Though three is some workplace drama with co-workers, she loves her job and looks forward to possible future promotions. Gabriel also had a tough upbringing and is still having issues with his parents. He noticed Nora a while ago and is hoping to get to know her better. WIll Nora be okay with dating the boss/owner of the company? This was a quick and enjoyable read.

I love an office romance where the boss isn’t demeaning towards the heroine because he has feelings for her. Once Gabriel decided Nora was his he was willing to fight for their relationship and it was really cute. Easy read!
A cute office romance. Nora Pierce life is finally heading in the right direction when she accidentally collide with Gabriel Williams, the CEO of her company. What happens next was a sweet romance story that did not disappoint. I enjoyed the low drama, but loads of spicy moments that kept me hoping that they will end with a HEA.
Once again, Sam Crescent has written a fantastic book. I was hooked from beginning to end. Nora finally sees her life moving forward after losing so much to her horrible aunt and uncle. Her boss, Gabriel, falls for her instantly but takes a bit to completely win Nora's trust. The plot is excellent, and the ending is perfect. Gabriel and Nora have the best HEA.
This was a cute slow burn Cinderella type of story. Nora is a professional and private woman whom works in Gabriel's company. A work incident with coffee lands her in Gabriel's line of vision. Now that he's hooked her, he is never letting go. How long will it take for Nora to realize shes been caught/ claimed by her boss. Enjoy ?

This is Gabriel and Nora's story. It is sweet with some angst, tragedy and karma. The story begins with Nora walking into the office with a load of coffees, tripped by a co-worker and landing into her boss. Gabriel had noticed Nora, for sometime now. He had even looked into her background further. The incident with Clarice and her cohorts gives Gabriel an opening to care for Nora. Gabriel has his own past issues that draw him more towards Nora. This is such a sweet and tender story with some drama, crazy, danger, passion, angst and a very happy ever after. I enjoyed every bit of the story and love the main characters as well as some of the non-biological "family" and secondary characters.
Gabriel and Nora come from two different worlds. Nora had tragic youth and at one point was homeless, Gabriel is drawn to Nora, who works for his company. Their relationship isn't smooth sailing as there are those who interfere between them. Loved the story. Nora is a strong FMC who doesn't let her past drag her down.
Enjoyed the storyline. Like that she overcame the odds. The story flowed beautifully and was just a nice entertaining read.
Wowsa this book is a great story that will definitely have you engrossed from the beginning until the end and the storyline flows throughout the book. Nora works for Gabriel and after being pushed into him will sparks fly between them or will his evil parents try to hurt Nora? Great story with all the right feels and so much more.

I really enjoyed this quick read. Gabriel. our MMC, is this alpha boss with a reputation for being short tempered and rude. Nora, our MFC, is this sweet girl working in the mail room with the hopes to move up in the company one day through hard work and dedication. She is smart and picks up on how things work very quickly. When the "mean girls" of the office get caught bullying her by Gabriel, they are gone and soon Gabriel and Nora are friends to lovers. The story is light-hearted and will warm your heart. A great read and well worth your time.
I enjoyed the story of Gabriel and Nora, their journey keeps you glued to your book. Their journey starts when she accidentally falls on top of him and in time spills a cup of hot coffee. They become friends and slowly grow closer to each other that is also where the steam and romance comes around the corner. A kind of slow burn romance and definitely recommended to read.

Loved them so much! I liked how he made their meet cute happen and how he didn't let her stand in the way of them being together. He was patient but went after what he wanted.

His nemesis is the younger woman who works in the mail room, the quiet, gentle and unassuming, attractive person who caught his attention. Their relationship starts when, after being tripped deliberately, she falls and spills hot coffee. The opposite of the models, actress, money focused kind he dates. The kind who he cannot get out of his mind. The one his grandfather had told him about. The kind that has had problems and survived. The kind who has no interest in his money. The kind that is good and everything he needs.
Story was a quick, cute read with Nora and Gabriel. Nora had been through a lot of trauma in her life and wanted to have a stable life while working at Gabriel's company. Gabriel saw and fell in love with Nora over time and from a far. This story had its ups and downs but not between the two just a lot from their perspective families. Such a good read and it literally took less than an hour from start to finish. Wasn't an insta-love and the spiciness was at a 10. Definitely recommend for a light quick read.
I cannot say anything other than I absolutely loved it. It’s absolute perfection. Nora is one of my absolute favorite FMC’s. She is light, passion, determination, goodness, pure, caring, selfless and strong. She didn’t let what life (or others) throw at her change her. She is vulnerable, but not weak. Gabriel is perfect as well, protective, possessive, loving, determined and caring, despite his family. This story was sweet, spicy, emotional, intriguing, exciting and captivating. It is full love, grief, healing, family trauma, drama, change, found family, growth and trust. It moved me more than I expected in more ways than one - do yourself a favor and give it a try.
Nora was thankful for her job and the company she worked for. Gabriel has taken notice of her and had finally found a way towards getting to know her. They are so cute as they build a friendship and then a relationship. It’s a sweet and spicy book full of life and love.

Nora was dealt a bad batch of cards but despite that she was still one of the humblest people he had encountered. Over a few weeks, they realized they were falling for each other, and this starts the whirlwind romance. However, his parents have something up their sleeve and if they can help it, they will take everything from him.
This is the kind of story to read when you need a break from your hectic day. It's easy to cruise through with minimal tension as Nora struggles with feelings of inadequacy and self-doubt. There are a few very hot spicy scenes with well described sex. A very soft cozy hea Smooths it all out. A good vacation from my hectic day

He actually cares about his employees. He knows what it’s like to start from the ground up. When these two meet by accident, things heat up. Gabe isn’t what everyone thinks. Yes, he and Nora have had loss. This story is all about trust and finding “the one.” Love Trudy. She is one great assistant. Gabe doesn’t push Nora into a relationship. Her aunt and uncle are as cold as his father. Excellent story.
This was an engaging read with lots of back story to showcase the hardships Nora and Gabriel had experienced in life. She's been working her way up from devastating loss only to have troubles with coworkers that literally throw her in Gabriel's lap. He's stoked at the opportunity because he's been hunting for a way to get to know her better ;D Expect to get caught up in the drama, emotions, fab side characters and OTT romance as these two work their way to a wonderful HEA. Good fun!
Loved this background story and how these 2 got together. Nora's story is sad and heartbreaking but then she meets Gabriel and things start to change. Gabriel has the same problem with sad heartbreaking background, family drama, then these 2 get together and melt the pages.
Nora hadnt had an easy life, and Gabriel was known for his no nonsense approach in business, but finds himself drawn to Nora, and wanting to protect her, and when she gets tripped and coffee lands over them both it was the perfect chance to get to know her more, but when he has to choose his business or her? Well written fast paced engaging sweet boss/employee romance

I love that Gabriel was infatuated with Nora at first sight, it is so cute that he orchestrated being introduced to her. Gabriel advocated for his love throughout this book and I liked his character more and more as I read this HEA.
This was such a good book. Gabriel has fought to get where he is his whole life, and finds he is still fighting as his parents after destroying one business think that they should have his now as he has way more money then they could ever think of having. They keep sending spies in and women to try and take him down so they can take over. Gabriel doesn't trust anyone and then in comes this sweet little woman who works so hard and is so good to everyone. Nora has fought her whole life and now has a job in the company that she loves how the employees can work up in and learn new skills. She is enthralled with business. Nora has had her aunt and uncle that while she was in a coma they took everything from her and what her parents had left her and she found herself on the streets. This is a book about two people that come together despite everything that have happened to them and them finding someone that they can trust. The way these two come together is a lot of fun to read about. I enjoyed this book and how these two came together and found happiness and love despite everything they had to fight against.
