The sun was setting by the time they rolled up to the curb in front of the single-story home Harmony had grown up in. She’d managed to forget her nerves for a precious little while, up in Zeno’s magnificent penthouse, but the familiar sight of her childhood home brought the twisting, nauseating feelings rushing back. She had been so desperate to get away when she’d fled, she hadn’t truly considered the consequences, let alone if fleeing was a viable option.
Her parents were going to be furious.
Zeno’s hand settled on her shoulder, drawing her attention away from the sight through the window. “We can still leave. You don’t need to face this today if you’re not ready.”
Harmony attempted a smile. They’d talked for close to two hours, about all sorts of things, and even though she knew it was crazy, she felt as though she knew him much better. Enough, for certain, that she knew he understood her anxiety and reservations for more reasons than because he could smell them. In whatever ways those feelings were smellable. And in turn, she understood his offer was genuine—they had only come there at all because she had insisted, and they would leave if or when she changed her mind.
That knowledge gave her strength. It made her smile easier. “This will just get harder the longer I put it off.”
Zeno’s hand slid to the nape of her neck, his touch warm enough to raise her body temperature. “I won’t leave you to face this alone, Little Dove.”
The warmth at her neck coursed through her chest. She opened her mouth to thank him, and all at once she realized the other looming danger. It went beyond what her parents would do to her for punishment, or even the threat of her next encounter with Patrick Eades. If this went remotely wrong, she might never see Zeno again. The idea of that was unacceptable, in a way Harmony couldn’t explain. Even to herself.
She moved on impulse, not wanting to lose something she’d never truly had. Not wanting to regret the time she’d wasted. She twisted and half crawled across the bench seat of the sedan, pressing herself against him as her hands found his jaw a moment before her lips connected with his. The scrape of his trimmed beard beneath her fingers was like a tangible echo to the low rumble of his responding growl before his arms banded around her and Zeno took control.
His tongue slid past her lips as he tangled a hand in her hair, his other hand gripping the back of her dress. He leaned into her, kissing her deeply, with a hunger that made her entire body burn and clench simultaneously. It was unlike anything Harmony had imagined, let alone experienced. He held her so tightly that both their bodies moved with each heaving breath before the kiss even broke.
When it did, and his grip on her hair loosened, Harmony found herself straddling his thigh and panting in his face. She might have been embarrassed about all of that, if it weren’t for the barely contained need shining back at her from his eyes and the way his own chest rose with deep, unsteady breaths.
Zeno smoothed his hand over the back of her dress in a slow, deliberate motion, never taking his eyes from hers. “Be very careful about when you decide to kiss me like that again, Harmony. I can’t promise I’ll remember my restraint.”
She shouldn’t have smiled, and she certainly shouldn’t have laughed, but it was too surreal. “Should I apologize?”
“No. Never.”
Hot and steamy yet tender and engaging. Loved the patience and all-consuming love Zeno had for Harmony. And upon meeting Zeno, Harmony thought she'd jumped from the pan into the fire. But she quickly found her courage and sass, and allowed herself the love she deserved from her fated mate.
This is a wonderful dragon shifter romance that contains some dark elements but is filled with a sassy female lead and an overprotective male lead. There is just enough angst to add another layer of depth. Great read!
Darkhan is one of the sweetest paranormal love stories I have read. Zenoa and Harmony had me turning the pages for what I hoped to be their happily ever after. With all the family drama and that remarkable idiot who thought he stood a chance with her, this was the best story and outcome. The book was its own page-turner style, with the drama and paranormal action. Even in the end, Harmony has a mischievous vibe that lets you know she does not want trouble but wants her man to work for it! LOVED IT! Darkhan has wonderfully engaging characters, a lot of steamy romantic drama, lots of paranormal action, steamy romance, and an ending that promises more in the future! I could not put it down!
I really enjoyed this short read. Harmony is totally clueless about the world and Zeno has been searching for his mate for centuries. She literally runs into him, ring in the bad guys and you have a good story.
Dragons have a tendency to spread out and not being in large cities because it will be harder to hide, especially for dragons that want to fly and have trouble with their tempers, they breathe fire. Zeno Darkhan is a dragon shifter, but he is in NYC and he meets Harmony while she is running barefoot from the fate her parents forced her into. Poor Harmony has gotten the attention of a gang of shifters in her neighborhood and her parents have been forced to pay ‘for protection’, and one of the shifters has decided that Harmony is how he wants to be paid. This will change her parents’ life and hers. Her parents’ for the better, and hers’ for the worst. I felt really upset seeing her own parents do this to her and it was all planned out and why she was brought up the way she was. I got really upset and cursed up a storm, chewed on my nails and freaked out. The book has a few fun and funny parts in it. I very much enjoyed dragon justice. I so needed my AC on for the entire book- for the freaking out parts as well as the yummy steamy, and romantic scenes. Zeno is protective, possessive and soooo Alpha and extremely hot, poor Harmony had no chance of getting away from him, her fated mate. That took some explaining. I love how Zeno calls her Little Dove. It’s so sweet and cute. I really loved this book and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series!
This book was amazing. I love the characters Zeno and Harmony they have great chemistry. Its entertaining, thrilling, spicy. I love the story.

I loved this book! I loved the idea of Harmony being the sheltered not-so-little girl who her parents are planning everything out for and her knight in shining armor flys in (literally!) and shows her what life she is missing. Zeno is one of the only dragon shifters left and he has a human for a mate who has no idea about anything. Their dynamic was beautiful. I wish this book was longer and it wasn't as rushed as I felt like it was. If there was a book 2 about them and growing together I would for sure read it!
This was a short, dragon shifter romance. Zeno was so protective of his mate, and made sure to eliminate all threats to her. Loved the HEA and epilogue. Definitely recommend.
This is a new author for me. Rose Wulf wrote a wonderful story, I loved it from the start and it's a great addition to the series, The strong chemistry between Zeno and Harmony is so very good.
Zeno has pretty much given up on finding his mate... Until one fateful evening, when Harmony almost runs into him while she's running away from a honey badger (this makes more sense if you've read previous books in the series, but you are able to read this as a standalone, technically). He knows instantly that she is his, while Harmony takes a little longer. I am really enjoying this series- this a great addition.
This story is part of the intriguing "Monsters of New York"; a multi-author paranormal shifter collaboration. The story is fairly short, quick, fast paced and stands alone. The reader is taken back to the Gin Room in this story is about Harmony and Zeno. She is a twenty four year old human who has been controlled by her parents. Now, they have dressed her and presented her to a man who is to take her in every way. She is shocked and disgusted! She runs straight into a man who kidnaps her. Zeno, knows what she is to him. He will do anything to protect her. This is a captivating read that sucks you in from the very beginning until the wonderful ending.

Darkhan is a spicy dragon shifter contemporary romance that finds Zeno Darkhan back in NYC wondering why he is always drawn to the place. After a long life he still hasn’t found his mate and if she was here he hadn’t found her yet. In another part of town human Harmony Lace has just been blindsided by her parents who have “gifted” her to a shifter who she loathes. When the opportunity presents itself she flees her home. With no where to go or any friends to seek help from she ends up running into Zeno who immediately knows just who she is to him. A nicely written narrative with two likable leads, that included spice, drama, romance, fated mates, and intrigue, the story was entertaining and I enjoyed reading this sweet, captivating adventure of the heart. HEA
Man what can I say first!! Such a good read. I loved how this whole story just jumped into the action. I was hooked from the very beginning. The action was non-stopped and the surprises that happened were so much fun to read. As well the romance was both sweet and spicy. I enjoyed every moment of this read and I hope you do as well.
A delightful story with enough darkness and gloom and enough romance and steam. The characters keep you glued to the book and pull you into their story. A great dragon shifter novel that is worth checking out.

Zeno Drakhan is a dragon shifter who keeps be drawn to New York. This is the fourth book in the Monsters of New York and does not disappoint. Zeno is protective, Harmony finds her confidence, nonstop action, love, romance and very spicy.
This was an engaging and steamy romance for Zeno, a dragon shifter male, and Harmony, a human gal. He's desperate for a mate and can't figure why he keeps coming back to NY. Harmony has been super sheltered her whole life and has just been traumatized by her parents gifting her to the neighbourhood shifter bully - a fellow that has harassed her since she hit puberty :( When she can, she runs and bumps into Zeno, and then the fun begins ;) He must prove to her that he's not like other shifters and she has so much to learn about, well, everything ;) These two were fire together but the drama keeps on coming at these them, making their journey to an HEA hard won. Expect to get caught up in the drama, intrigue, action, suspense and sweet and spicy romance. Good fun!
This was a fun read. Her parents force her into a bad man where she runs off and meets him darkhan. Fab read and plenty to offer. Storyline was superb to read I recieved a free copy via Booksprout and I’m giving my review freely and honestly
Darkhan He’d searched the world for his mate and never expected to bump into her when she was on the run from a terrible situation. Convincing his mate, he wasn’t like other shifters was a challenge but with patience and his love he would get there but in the meantime he had to deal with an unfortunate incident to make sure she was safe. Entertaining, steamy, this is a wonderful Dragon Shifter read. When I read the last sentence I thought what a beautiful romantic moment!
Harmony basically runs into Zenos when she is trying to escape another shifter she was sold to. He takes her to his penthouse where they get to know each other. Then the action starts with unexpected twists that I didn’t anticipate. This series is wonderful with great characters and an interesting world. A wonderful book!
Monsters in New York Saga continues so get comfortable you put it down until the last page has been turned. Zeno is a dragon shifter who is drawn to New York but can’t figure out why he is so drawn to New York, he has lived for so long searching for his mate and never finding her until she runs right into him. Harmony is sweet but dreams of freedom away from her parents who keeps trying to set her up just when she thinks she is free they tell her she has been gifted to a shifter that she can’t stand and of course she does the logical thing run but no friends, no where to go she runs right into Zeno who know she is his mate. He isn’t going to let anything or anyone near the one he has searched centuries for but will she trust him enough to keep her safe, the more she is around him the stronger she grows learning to stand up for herself and the man she loves refusing to walk away but her parents will they back down, will the man she was promised just let it go considering she found her fated mate or will he cause trouble, and will they find their happiness high up in the sky?
Gosh I love dragon shifter stories! Zeno was absolutely amazing towards Harmony. While he knew they were mates he let her set the pace and gave her the freedom she always craved. He would literally burn down the world for her and it was adorable!
Harmony wanted to escape her parents oppressive control, she had to sneak to search for a job. But all her plans are torn apart when it seems they have given her to the neighborhood bully. She does the only she can and runs into another man. Zeno is a dragon shifter, that does not know why NY keeps pulling him back. He gets a clue real quick when his mate runs right into him. She is human, she it might take some doing to convince her. The path to happily ever after takes several turns.
Really enjoyed this book, different from my usual genre but I’m definitely hooked. The relationship between the main characters was wonderful. Some steamy, sexy moments that didn’t disappoint. Didn’t want it to end.

Zeno is perfect as Harmony’s fated mate. She has such a low opinion of herself, thanks to her horrible parents, and Zeno worships at the altar of Harmony. Even with a honey badger gang leader and Harmony’s terrible parents doing everything they can to make her life miserable, the love story of Zeno and Harmony maintains its sexy, cozy feel. ‘Darkhan’ has its intense moments, but I’d still recommend it as a perfect palate cleanser — just what I needed after two back to back intense books. Love this one. Harmony ran from an arrangement her parents were setting up for her. She ran into Darkah. He realized she was his mate and saved her from the life she was running from. Sweet ❤️ Total HEA
