Turning abruptly, she ran into a solid wall of muscle. “Oomph.”

Looking up, amazing light emerald-green eyes stared down at her and she caught her breath. Her hands pressed flat against a very sexy, hard, and wide chest, and she could feel two strong arms holding her upright. For a moment, no one existed except the two of them. Neither spoke, they just gazed at each other.

Claire’s heart began a frenetic quickstep in partnership with her stomach. The giant smiled. He had this wild mane of hair and a beard, and his white teeth almost sparkled at her. She couldn’t speak; she could only peer up at him and lick her lips. Claire wanted to stay wrapped up in his arms forever.

Something happened, something primeval, something like destiny calling. The world stopped spinning and the rest of the restaurant disappeared as they stared at each other.

Hours passed—maybe it was just minutes. Or even only seconds. However long it was, Claire wanted to stay safe in his arms forever. She wanted to be wrapped in his love. Something like electricity surged through her entire body. Every cell tingled as if leaping in some wild excited dance.

But finally, he drew in a huge gasp and she blinked.

Claire suddenly realized where she was and what she was there for. She had to get out of there before someone called her out, despite wanting to stay wrapped in this mountain of masculine flesh forever. She pushed against the strong chest roughly, a little too roughly, but her libido kept begging her to stay.

“Out of my way, King Kong.”

His arms tightened a little. Then they fell away as he stepped to one side, giving her a little bow. She sailed past him holding her head up even as she fought madly against the irresistible urge to leap back into his arms, wrap her legs around him, and beg him for a kiss, plead with him to make love to her. Somehow, she made it outside. Amanda rushed to her.

“Are you okay?” she asked as she handed over the helmet to her sister.

Claire snatched the helmet. “Of course I am.” She was still furious at this Mack, at Amanda, but now angrier with herself. She’d left the arms of that … that beast. What the hell just happened? Who is he? Why do I have this craving to go back to him?

 “Put on that spare helmet,” she snarled at her sister, “and just get on the bike.”

Once again I got hooked

I'd been wondering who the next book would be about and if I'd like it. I wasn't disappointed. Finn is a great big teddy bear who has been in previous books. This time he gets his own. I loved the first meeting between him and Claire. The story was great - and super hot at times. I laughed, I cried and I held my breath at times. This was great story-telling. I liked the secondary characters and the parts they played in making Finn and Claire's story believable. Once again the characters are older and I think that's why I enjoy Suzy's books so much. It's easier to relate to characters closer to your own age. Can't wait for the next book.
