Readers are in for the happiness of Louisa’s dreams, hopes and desires being fulfilled as her birthday wish is granted by her life-long crush. The story is a quick and sensuous read with a surprising twist Louisa nor the reader expects. I enjoyed the passionate story and its charming HEA.

Doris O'Connor has always known what makes me happy. She always gets it RIGHT! With "The Bear Treatment" she took it to a completely different level. With a first chapter like we got in this gem of a short story you know it’s going to be all kinds of steamy. Louisa has had feelings for her best friend’s cousin for years but always felt so out of his league that she never did anything about it. She just sat off to the side and lusted after him. Luke has known that Louisa is his mate for quite some time but never thought that she liked him, let alone that she lusted after him. After all she always gave the impression that she hated him. Everything changes the day she decides to see if the fantasy she has about wax play and submission lives up to reality. Luke is there and he gives her the special treatment she wanted, she just didn’t expect it would be him to give her that treatment. That night they would both see what changes would come from that treatment. Don’t be alarmed about the fact that this is a short story. Doris can make even a short story feel like its 200 pages long. You won’t be left hanging and if anything you will be left wanting more.

I love shifter books, especially ones where the male character is also an out and out alpha/Dom, and Doris really is one of the best writers in this genre (in my opinion at least). This is one of the shorter "Romance on the Go" books published by Evernight but, when a story is as well written and packed with action as this one is, I don't care if it's 20 pages long or 200 I don't put my kindle down until I've hit "The End". Would highly recommend.

This was a fun read and a great addition to The Projects. Not only is this series and this novella steamy, passionate, and a little kinky,but its downright decadent. We have Louisa (Lou) who always had a thing for her friends cousin Luke, who unbeknownst to us knew that Lou was his mate. When they get together the chemistry is undeniable and the sex is freaking HAWT. This is a novella that will rock your world and leave you wanting more!
