When you desire the one person you shouldn't... Rebecca isn't living the life she wants. Her parents have somehow smothered her dream of owning a restaurant by forcing her to run her business their way. Her love life is nonexistent because the one person she wants to be with is essentially forbidden to her. It's her best friend's father and she's sure that he still sees her as a little girl so nothing will ever happen between them. Jackson knows Rebecca isn't a girl anymore. He's watched her grow into a gorgeous young woman and he's tried to convince himself he shouldn't want her this way. He is an accomplished businessman with an adult daughter and dating her friend would be frowned upon by most of the people in their lives. Yet, he's about to cross the line anyway. A kiss in the kitchen turns into a full-blown secret romance, hidden from everyone. As the pair get closer, they begin to realize their feelings run deeper than just a lustful crush. The couple will have to decide how to let the cat out of the bag because they can't hide their relationship forever if they stand a chance at having a future together. I have a thing for the forbidden love trope but I have to say that I haven't read many books with the daughter or son's best friend theme. The hidden love affair in this novella was steamy, to say the least. Our couple can't keep their hands off each other and their passion is evident from the first scene. It's a nicely written erotica with well-rounded characters. I expected this to be a dirty read and it definitely was, but there was also an emotional side to the story that I hadn't anticipated. Rebecca has some serious issues in her life that she needs to work out and Jackson seems to give her the confidence she needs to make some tough decisions. They were good for each other. The age difference didn't bother me, but if you aren't a fan of older men with younger women, this isn't the book for you. That much should be clear from the title alone. There is a little bit of dishonesty happening here, which goes hand-in-hand with the forbidden love theme, but there is a happy ending.
Rebecca has had a crush on her best friend’s father, Jackson Reed, for as long as she can remember. She has always hoped that one day, he’d be her everything—but that could never happen. Besides Rebecca’s friendship with his daughter, he’s so far out of her league.
That all changes when Rebecca is with Jackson helping Bella through her heartache. Together, growing closer, something might just happen. But be careful what you wish for…
Kissing Rebecca was a mistake, fucking Rebecca was an even bigger mistake, and it can’t happen again. But Jackson wants it to happen again. He wants Rebecca. She fires his blood and makes him yearn for things he had thought were far out of his reach.
He’s old enough to be her father, but she doesn’t care. He’s the only one Rebecca wants. When they’re together, they cannot keep their hands off each other, and their secret affair begins.
But Jackson is screwing his daughter’s best friend. Can there ever be hope of a happy ending?
Be Warned: anal sex
He was so close that she felt the heat of him.
Rebecca couldn’t help it. She licked her suddenly dry lips, and even as she fought it, she couldn’t help herself from glancing down, and checking out his lips.
Did he just growl?
She frowned, and glanced up at him, to find Jackson had stepped closer. The tips of his toes touched hers, and the tension in the room seemed to build. The soup was long forgotten as she looked up at the man who had been the star in many of her sexual fantasies.
His hand touched her hip, and she pressed against him, wanting his touch.
“Rebecca,” he said, that same growl to his voice.
Her pussy pulsed, and her clit seemed to throb. Pressing her thighs together, she tried to create some friction to help her deal with the sudden arousal that he had started. Biting her lip, she glanced up at him.
That was the moment her life changed forever, and all of her dreams suddenly became a reality. Jackson sank his fingers into her hair and slammed his lips down on hers.
Every woman probably believed the same thing when the man of their dreams kissed them.
Jackson knew he shouldn’t be kissing her. She was younger than he was, young enough to be his daughter. Fuck, she was his daughter’s best friend, but he couldn’t do it. He couldn’t resist kissing her. The way she had looked at him, and then licked those lips, which she’d then bitten, and all the time she had gazed at his lips. He was a man of experience, and after the death of his wife, he had screwed his way through every single woman that would look at him. They had wanted him, and he had given it to them without judgement.
Rebecca was too young.
She was his daughter’s best friend, and he had to stop.
Only, the moment his lips touched hers, he couldn’t. Her lips were nice and soft, and she didn’t fight him. She gripped his shoulders and held him tightly as ravished her mouth.
Years ago, he had known she had a crush on him, and he had done everything to avoid her. Young girls’ crushes weren’t something he wanted. But Rebecca was no longer a young girl. She was a woman, a confident, beautiful woman who put his little girl first.
He couldn’t resist her, nor did he want to.
Biting her lip, he sucked it into his mouth, and then plundered hers with his tongue, deepening the kiss.
Moving her back toward the fridge, he pressed her up against it, grabbing her hands, and locking them together. He really shouldn’t be doing this, but he couldn’t stop.
Sam Crescent is the queen of curvy girl romances and this is more proof that she has no plans to give up the title. Rebecca is a refreshing heroine, she's young but she knows what she wants. She is such a caring person to those she loves almost fierce in her protection of them. Her relationship with her best friend and her employees is a pleasure to see. Then there is the side of her that lets her parents make her so unhappy. I loved how she just went for what she wanted, if only we all could have the strength to do that. In short she is a wonderfully authentic woman who happens to be curvy and she's good with that. Jackson Reed loves her curves and seeing him struggle with his attraction to his daughter's best friend was both entertaining and enlightening. He was a little intense for me but absolutely perfect for Rebecca. I enjoyed the evolution of their relationship throughout the story, how they faced the hurdles and how everything was far from easy or perfect. This was another story full of heat and heart and I recommend you pick it up, you won't be disappointed. The Story: As an adolescent Rebecca had a crush on her best friend's father, but now she's all grown up and she wants him now even more than ever. When the heat between them turns up they decide to keep things quiet not knowing how his daughter will react. But do they have what it takes to have e real relationship?
I love Jackson and Rebecca!! Jackson is the ultimate dad crush come true!! Rebecca is quirky and adorable!! Their chemistry is amazing and the sex scenes are panty melting hot!!! Another great book by Sam Crescent!
Sam Crescent is another author who I automatically buy when her books come out. Be it instant love, old man/younger woman, shifter, MC, curvy women............I love them all! Rebecca and Jackson's story, while predictable, is still a very good story!! I love it and read it in one evening!
Again an amazing story.
We first met these characters in a previous book by this author, The Enemy's Daughter and it was also nice to see Bella and Alaric from that great read return to feature in this story. However the main focus of this great story is Jackson a powerful, sexy, older business man and a beautiful, strong, independent woman named Rebecca who also happens to be his daughter's best friend. There is an undeniable attraction between the two that may not of always been there for Jackson, Rebecca has always had a crush on her best friends sexy father. But now Jackson has realised that Rebecca is not a little girl anymore and notices what a beautiful woman she has grown into. No matter how much he tries to deny the spark between them it becomes an impossible task the closer they grow. I loved how this story developed and how their relationship blossomed and as always the story was packed with passion and romance just what we like. Well done Sam on another great read! Happy Reading!
Every time I read a Sam Crescent book I am never disappointed. Ever. With this book she has actually surpassed my expectations !! This is a beautifully written novel. I loved it from beginning to end. I could not put it down !!! I love Jackson and adore Rebecca !!! Sam's writing is hot and sexy with just the right amount of awww to pull your heartstrings and leave you smiling long after the last page.
I was curious about Rebecca and Jacksom from The Enemy's Daughter. Which is another book you need to add to your TBR, if you haven't read it yet. So, I'm glad that Rebecca and Jackson got their own story to tell. It was sweet to see connection between them becoming stronger with each day. Rebecca's girl crush becoming something much more. And Jackson finding something, he thought he would never have. I loved how Jackson was possessive and loving with Rebecca. This was really good dirty, sexy and a little taboo story with no dramas.
