12 NEW Dark Paranormal Romance Stories by USA Today and International Bestselling Evernight Authors!
The Alpha lives for the hunt...
Driven by instinct, an Alpha shifter recognizes his fated mate from one scent, one touch. He'll pursue his woman, regardless of the cost, and anyone else would be smart to get out of his way. He won't stop until he takes possession of his prize.
Although the hunter doesn't need convincing, his mate certainly does. The Alpha will have to prove himself as a lover and convince his woman that he plays for keeps.
Scent of Destiny by Rose Wulf
Taken Mate by Sam Crescent
Finders Keepers by Stacey Espino

What I love most about anthologies is the chance to read both favorite and new authors in a genre I enjoy and we're lucky to get 12 in the OWNED BY THE ALPHA anthology: "Scent of Destiny" by Rose Wulf, "Taken Mate" by Sam Crescent, "Finders Keepers" by Stacey Espino, "The Hunt" by Doris O'Connor, "Alpha at Altitude" by Lily Harlem, "Fated to the Razorback Demon" by Maia Dylan, "Running Home" by Michelle Graham, "Alpha's Sunshine" by Elyzabeth M. VaLey, "Checkmate" by Wren Michaels, "Frozen Heart" by Beth D. Carter, "Wolf Hunter" by Elena Kincaid, AND "Returning to the Coyote" by Roberta Winchester. I absolutely loved the different authors' take on the "alpha finds a mate" premise and while in some cases, that realization was happily embraced, in others, there was a bit of a … struggle. Likes: As I read, I found myself re-ordering the stories from favorite to least and Doris O'Connor's "The Hunt" took an almost immediate lead followed by Maia Dylan's "Fated to the Razorback Demon", "Checkmate" by Wren Michaels, and Elena Kincaid's "Wolf Hunter". But I'm sure your list will be different, which is as it should be. Plus there's some great dialogue that will have you laughing out loud. Dislikes: For some reason the Table of Contents wasn't active in the Kindle edition I bought, which made it difficult to jump around and revisit stories. Would love to see that fixed. Lovers of paranormal/were-animals, strong alpha males and feisty mates in impossible situations will eat these stories up. I should know, I did. - See more at: http://erotic.theromancereviews.com/viewbooksreview.php?bookid=24825#sthash.UkuMis3V.dpuf
cropped-reviewfbknotty1.jpg Evernight Publishing has put out two anthologies with the same theme and that is being taken by an Alpha male. A shifter in most cases, (I did not read the M/M version so I can only speak for the F/M version) But in both books they managed to snag some truly incredible authors. To say that Evernight has a plethora of talent in their stables is an understatement at best, just the talent in the 12 author anthology I read alone proves it. Some of my favorite authors were in this anthology, Doris O’Connor, Sam Crescent, Lily Harlem, Maia Dylan and Elena Kincaid. Incidentally, their stories also stood out in this amazing anthology. I also enjoyed the rest, especially Stacey Espino andElyzabeth M. VaLey’s contributions. My absolute favorite though, would be The Hunt by Doris O’Connor. Raphael is a wolf shifter who finds his mate in a doe shifter named Aubrey. He saves her but finds out mating is not always easy, especially when a rival is involved. My runner-up story is Taken Mate by Sam Crescent about a wolf shifter who after abducting his mate, just can’t quite get the courting part right. All in all, every story in this book is a hit and deserves 5 Stars!
I loved this anthology. I have favorites such as Doris O'Connor, Sam Crescent, Elena Kincaid, Maia Dylan and Lily Harlem. The other authors I had heard of but hadn't read to many of their books. Each story was great and since I love shifters, this was right up my alley. Grab this book and settle in for an evening of hot and hunky alpha shifters who will stop at nothing to get their mates!
While this book is comprised of 12 very talented authors I have only read one story. This is not my genre of reading material but I wanted to show my support for my favorite author. That being said, Taken Mate by Sam Crescent was very entertaining and not not as "wolfie" as I thought it would be. Lol. So, don't be afraid of shifter books. Give them a try and start with Owned by the Alpha.
It’s like a buffet of hot men, sex and engaging plots! I’m totally in love with this anthology. I think Finders Keepers by Stacey Espino may have inched out in the amazing department. I’ve read it twice and still enjoy every second of the story. But don’t discount the other stories! What an amazing bunch of sexy shifter tales. Love anthologies? Read this! Love shifters? Read this! Love romance or drama or action....Basically, read Owned by the Alpha!
