Gypsy Bastards MC, 3

The Gypsy Bastards MC is a family, and they continue to expand...

Bodhi “Mad Dog” Black falls for Kaiya Walsh the moment he sees her. Bruised, beaten, and broken, she’s still the most beautiful woman he’s ever seen.

Kaiya comes from a violent past, and getting over it may not be possible. Moving forward is hard, and no matter how much her mind, body, and soul have healed, she simply doesn’t feel worthy.

When she starts to spread her wings, Mad Dog takes a chance and tries to get close to her, but he doesn’t think she’s ready for everything he wants. And he wants it all.

Navigating Kaiya’s harrowing past is one thing, but more obstacles pop up as well. Will they survive to get a happily ever after when the dust settles?

Excerpt:

My entire first week, I didn’t see any of the guys. I missed Sparrow because he only works morning. But the other guys, I have no idea how I was able to avoid them. But that all just changed a moment ago, when the entire club walked in. Thank God for small miracles, because they aren’t seated in my section.

Continuing with my duties, I purposefully avoid the area they are seated and act like I didn’t see them enter. It’s hard to keep my gaze off them, but I’m able to do it.

“Damn, those are some fine-ass men.” Charlie sighs dreamily when I approach the bar.

“Yup,” I reply distractedly.

“And that Mad Dogs is staring a hole right through you.” She gestures with her head.

“Shit,” I mutter, still not looking their way.

“I’m assuming as your new BFF there are some details you haven’t shared with me yet.”

I lift my gaze swiftly, only to find Charlie smiling down at me. “Don’t worry. We will get to that part someday soon, but now, you might want to brace yourself.”

She grabs my order ticket and heads down the bar to fill my order. I know Bohdi is behind me before he speaks. His presence is something I can physically feel wash over me. His smell hits me next. His natural musk, some cologne that he wears, and the underlying smell of engine oil. A smell they all carry no matter what.

“Kaiya,” he growls in my ear before standing beside me. “You’re looking beautiful as always.”

My gaze travels up the length of his body. Black boots, thick, jean-covered thighs, and a plain black t-shirt. His chin is covered in scruff, his eyes bright as he watches me with a smirk on his face.

“Bohdi,” I breathe. His presence has my stomach fluttering, my pulse spiking, and arousal coursing through me. I haven’t felt any form of arousal toward a man since I can remember. But Bohdi makes me feel all kinds of things I never thought were possible.

“I didn’t know you started here,” he says.

“Almost two weeks. I thought it might be a good idea. Help me start feeling more normal.”

Bohdi raises his hand to cup my cheek, staring into my eyes. His lips are a hairsbreadth away from mine when he speaks. “Normal is for people who conform. You will never be a typical woman because you will always be extraordinary.”

His words rake over my skin and cause me to shiver.

“Damn, girl.” Charlie interrupts the moment. “If you don’t kiss him after that, I will.”

My gaze cuts to her as I glare. Bohdi chuckles before heading back to the guys at their table. Charlie raises her hands in the air, showing she meant no harm before continuing to get drinks for the other waitresses. Jealousy isn’t an emotion that I’m used to. Fear. Anger. So many other emotions, but never jealousy. The thought of Bohdi touching anyone else has rage swimming through my veins and my vision going hazy.

Breathing deep, I take my drink order and make sure all my tables are happy before taking a five-minute break. Standing outside Dusk, I wish I smoked. I don’t have a reason to be standing here in the alley, but I just needed to breathe.

I hear the door behind me open as I continue to breathe in and out. Hands land on my hips and pull me into a hard, muscled chest. We stand there as I relax into his hold, neither speaking a word. After a while, the door opens again, and this time, I do look back. In the doorway is Preacher, staring at us with a stony gaze.

“Break’s over,” he barks before heading back.

Bohdi doesn’t even acknowledge that we were interrupted, but does turn me in his arms. His hands flex on my hips where they are still keeping a hold of me, and I don’t know how I don’t beg him to keep holding me.

“I want to see you. I don’t care if it’s after work or tomorrow morning, but I can’t keep on going like you aren’t an important part of my life. We don’t have to go to my house, and nothing has to happen, but I want to see you.”

He doesn’t wait for a reply, and he knows I won’t say no.

Healing and Finding Yourself
Written by pwnstar on 13th Dec 2021

Interesting book! Started off slow and kinda eh to me. I wasn't too into Kaiya. Because she just seemed really meh, but that could have been due to the time skip. Loved Bohdi, Loved everything about him. Loved how careful he was with Kaiya and the others. When Kaiya went to Louisiana with Storm and came back all different, I was also a little bothered that it wasn't explained a little more. I would have liked to see her grow into herself more, see her change. So we can see her blossom into the relationship with Bohdi. When Kaiya protected Kash, that was really when I started to love Kaiya. That was what got me. And was a turning point in the book for me. I also think it was a big turning point for her in a sense with her feelings for Bohdi, she just didnt know it just yet.

Loving Support
Written by Phyllis J. Wolford on 13th Dec 2021

I’m in love with this series. It shows that strong men can be soft and loving ,and that women can be both strong in their own right , but also strong to survive what ever is thrown at them. Dog and Kaiya are playing hide and seek with their feelings for each other. They both have a past but hers is harder then his. They finally let their feelings out and find that they both respect and love each other.

I loved Mad Dog/Bohdi’s and Kaiya’s story. I couldn’t put it down. I loved the journey I was on. I’m absolutely in love with this MC series. One of my favourite I’ve ever read. I was really looking forward to reading their story. This author did not disappoint. There were some tears. Kaiya’s backstory broke my heart, it’s sexy and gritty. I’m a huge fan of age gap stories. The kids, I loved each and everyone of them. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Jade knows how to take you on a journey. You begin the book where Bohdi finds Kaiya. (Bohdi = Dog) I love the way Jade leads into her books with a back story to us build the picture in our heads to keep the story moving forward from the last book. Per Jade form, the story moves forward showing us the relationship between two awesome characters with the twist and turns of how love is blind at times. As I said Jade can tell a story that will keep you interested. Kaiya thinks she is damaged goods and she believes she is too damaged to be part of Dog little family. Dog just wants her to be happy and safe. As Kaiya finds her way thru life, she finds her backbone and Dog is right there to support her. Well, I am not going to give you all the story now!!! Read the book! I really enjoyed how two people can find their way to each other thru trauma and can enjoy the path to build a life together.

Bohdi aka Mad Dog did what he does no matter who the woman is he went after the man abusing a woman. Kaiya is traumatized after being a victim of an attempted rape. When Mad Dog offered her his shirt it was a step in the direction that would order their path. Mad Dog was already captivated by Kaiya but he knew she was in no condition to accept the relationship he wanted with her so he took his time by becoming a friend first. As they bonded, she got to know his kids as well. Everything was going fine until she meets the ex and once again the children are upset. Kaiya takes it all in stride but when the Assistant principal makes a call at Mad Dog's home it will cause all kinds of chaos and an unexpected surprise that will change lives. This story will have you glued to the pages not wanting to miss out on any of the drama from this one!

Loved it!

Amount of sex 2 / 5 How explicit are the sex scenes 2.5 / 5 Story 4.5 / 5 Overall: 4.5 / 5 The Dog is the third book in the Gypsy Bastards MC series written by author Jade Marshall. Each book tells the story of a different couple and can be read as a standalone biker romance. However, I suggest reading the series in chronological order as I believe it will give you a better foundation for appreciating the storyline. Just know that it’s only a suggestion. The Dog was so addictive that I became completely immersed in the story from the very beginning. It tells the story of Bohdi “Mad Dog” Black and Kaiya Walsh, and Bohdi is the ultimate book boyfriend. He has that bad boy biker vibe going, but he’s also a single dad, and incredibly caring and protective of Kaiya. Kaiya’s such a strong woman for what she went through, and I loved how caring she was with Bohdi’s children. I’m dying to go into more detail, but I believe you should experience this without any spoilers. The Dog was a fabulous story and a definite add to your TBR list! I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Good
Written by Kindle Customer on 13th Dec 2021

This book is a good addition to this series. I liked the characters and plot. There were some good twists and turns plus action and suspense. There were a couple of times that were a bit confusing as to what was going on, but overall it was very enjoyable.
