From Army sergeant to dental hygienist to romance author, not to mention wife of over twenty-eight years and mother of two wonderful young men, my journey in life continues to be amazing.
When faced with indecision after high school, I was naïve yet optimistic and decided serving in the Armed Forces would give me a direction. It certainly did, and I’ll never regret it –after all, that’s where I met the love of my life, who continues to bring laughter and joy to my world. He gave us two terrific sons, put me through hygiene school, and although may never read one of my romances, supports me endlessly. Our life has had its ups and downs, and I’m forever grateful that he’s by my side, leading me toward my own happily-ever-after.
Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d turn my love of reading into a love of writing, let alone become published – yet I’m doing it! As a young girl, my fantasies knew no bounds – from dreaming of becoming a helicopter pilot to a National Geographic photographer to being the next Jacques Cousteau (only I’d of course be called Jackie!) And when introduced to Dr. Seuss then Nancy Drew Mysteries, I pined for new books and looked forward to the school’s scholastic book fairs. As I became older and my mom introduced me to romance and the timeless Nora Roberts, I was forever hooked. Now I get to pen my own HEA in each story, live through the adventures I formulate, and continue to dream of becoming a name in the romance world.
I’m grateful to have the support of my family, friends, and community of authors who enrich my life. No matter what your dreams are, never abandon them!
