Jack Parker has three rules. One, never ever fuck a student. Two, never ever fall for a student. Three, don’t ever break any of the first two rules.

He’s just broken every single one. She’s forbidden, a temptation he should resist, but she’s just become his very reason for living.

Lucia Deen is used to being bullied, alone, with no one to turn to until he enters her life. He cares, showing that her safety matters, that she matters. But he’s her teacher. It’s wrong. It’s dangerous—and she’s already addicted.

Secrets are made to be kept, but theirs are about to be blown apart. Can their forbidden love survive the fallout?

Excerpt:

Mr. Parker got started on his lesson. They were comparing two different poems now, and of course it was about love.

Poems were always about love, at least the ones that were considered the greats were. He handed out books, placing them in front of each table. When he got to her desk, he held the book out and she took it, her thumb touching his.

She felt the heat, the warmth that flooded her.

This happened to her every single time she touched him or they were close. She couldn’t look away, but they were in a classroom and she forced a smile before glancing back down at her notes.

He kept on talking, telling them to turn to a new page.

She didn’t want anyone else to see how much he affected her.

Taking notes, she made sure to put the titles of the two poems. This lesson flew by way too quickly as the bell seemed to ring the moment she got into the work. She sat for several seconds and watched as some of her peers rushed out. Opening up her bag, she took her time, aware of Connor in front of her. Rachel came over, and Lucia ignored the two of them until they both filtered out and only she was left.

Standing up, she held her keys in her hands and approached his desk.

Mr. Parker, Jack, smiled at her. “Happy Birthday,” he said.

“Thank you. I don’t even know why he’s doing what he’s doing.” She pointed out the door, speaking of Connor.

“I had no idea it was your birthday.”

“Yep, eighteen today, and look.” She held up her car keys. “My parents finally got me a car. I brought Marie to school today.”

He laughed. “Feel good?”

“Yeah, it felt really awesome, actually.” She tilted her head to the side. “It was a good class today.”

“Are you loving poetry yet?”

“I wouldn’t say loving just yet, but I like it. So that’s a step in a different direction for me.”

“Good.”

“Are you doing anything special tonight?” he asked.

“My parents are taking me out to dinner. No more zucchini chips tonight.”

“I’m happy for you.”

“This is if they’ll show, you know. Their track record is not the best at all when it comes to being a no-show.”

“They should. You’re their daughter.”

“You always know what to say to me.”

“If they knew what was good for them, they’d show up for everything. You’re a good person, Lucia. Don’t ever doubt that.”

He stood up, and she watched as he moved toward the white board, using the board wiper to completely clear the ink marks he’d made.

It had been a good class, but right now, she didn’t want to go. Marie would be waiting for her.

“Mr. Parker,” she said. Her heart raced, and she couldn’t even think straight as he turned around.

Just do it.

“What’s up, Lucia?” he asked.

She didn’t know what the hell came over her, but she stepped up to him, and before she could even think about all of the consequences, she pressed her lips against his.

Bold.

Scary.

Thrilling.

Exciting.

It was all of those emotions, and so many more all rolled up in one, and she didn’t want it to stop.

Stepping back, she stared into his eyes, and then couldn’t believe what she had just done. “I’m sorry.”

She quickly turned on her heel and walked out of the room.

The first guy she’d just kissed was her teacher.

Jack Parker was a great deal of firsts for her, and now she’d gone and kissed him.

What were you thinking?

She wasn’t thinking. Watching him wipe the board clean, all of her feelings had come crashing all around her, and she’d just reacted.

It was insane.

Crazy.

She didn’t regret it.

You’ve got to see him Monday.

Lucia & Jack story was beautifully written. It showed the struggles of two dealing with everyday issues and parents expectations, as well as keeping a taboo relationship secret. The author did not disappoint me with the way the story was told. Highly recommend.

Happily surprised
Written by Amazon Customer on 8th Jun 2018

With recent headlines in the news I was hesitant to read it BUT....This author pulled it off. I really enjoyed it. Would have liked more groveling from her parents. Their reactions weren’t really in line with their characters but the H and h were great. I never got a creepy vibe so it worked for me.

He’s a Rule Breaker for Her
Written by TamVamGlorious on 8th Jun 2018

Even though I was sometimes thrust out of the storyline, I mostly liked how this student-teacher relationship, developed. The conflict(s) didn’t develop as expected, and there were some moments that brought real tears. For a first full-length effort, this author transfers of writing “bigger” bodies specifically, but not stereotypically, to a longer format.

Sweet, crazy love
Written by TiltedHalo54 on 8th Jun 2018

Jack was Lucia’s teacher. Then he became her protector against the school bullies. Lucia was a little overweight and the kids picked on her. Jack, Mr. Parker, did not like it. This is their story of how they became important to each other and fell in love. They had a rough time of it but came out better people for it. I would definitely recommend.

An Authentic & Realistic Romance- One- click this NOW!

I truly enjoy all of Sam Crescent’s stories and this is one of my absolut favorites. The story of an overweight high school student being bullied and the fantasy-come-to-life romance with a hot teacher is everything my teenage self would have loved to read over 15 years ago. This story was a perfect combination of realistic expectations based on the scenario both teacher and student are placed in and what happens when you arcane deny yourself the one thing you really want and crave. The story is a true, authentic romance, not just a sex-filled romp (although there is sex!), which makes me appreciate the story even more. I appreciate that I can imagine this story actually happening which makes the story even more real for me. I’m happy Lucia and Jack found each other and hung on in this love story. <3 Thank you, Sanm, for writing the story many of us wanted to read for so long! It spoke to me in many ways and I know this will be one of my go-to re-reads.

4 and 1/2 stars
Written by JKI on 5th Jun 2018

I really liked it. It was really good. Their relationship was truly sweet. These were two fleshed out characters that deserved their happily ever after. The only issue was Lucia's parents, really. Don't get me wrong - there was a couple unbelievable points throughout the book... But the whole story line with her parents really irritated me to no end. (spoiler?) Not that they were what they were - self-involved jerks... But that there was this sappy ending with them that seemed to happen so quickly. Sorry. No. There needed to be more distance and time to fix that - I needed that to be more realistic for my anger that had built at them myself. It's longer than SC's standard writings but it didn't suffer too much dragging that often happens in romance books that go over the seemingly standard 150pgs. Though its longer, it is still a quick read. I recommend it.

Captivating hot taboo sexiness
Written by Adagio on 5th Jun 2018

Sam Crescent just took a taboo story to a whole other level. My Teacher has everything I could want: fully developed storyline, suspense, romance, and definitely taboo sexiness. The character development is extremely robust. I love Lucia. My heart broke for her so many times. Her strength astounds me. Sam Crescent did an amazing job on Jack, adding excellent complexity to the character. I appreciate the author’s focus on character development includes secondary characters like Marie as well. The world building is phenomenal. It felt like going right back to high school again. The author's words are powerful enough to create that sense of realism. This book is enthralling. I couldn't put it down because I needed to know what happened. The author elicited every emotion possible from me, which is the best sign of a must read book.

Wow! I love a good forbidden love story and Sam did an amazing job with this one. Lucia was so sweet and she deserved the world. Jack was sexy, possessive, and 100% devoted to his woman. I hope Sam decides to write more books likes this, because it is definitely gonna be one of my favorites.

But this one I really enjoyed. It had all my favorite things to making ...
Written by fay on 3rd Jun 2018

I Normally don't read student/teacher romances. But this one I really enjoyed. It had all my favorite things to making a good romance story. Lucia I really liked. I felt that even though things didn't go right for her, I know deep down she was a strong person. Because only strong people can live with the way these people were treating her. And there was some here and there moments when she would stand up for herself. Jack, you are amazing. Jack was a rebel when he was a teenager, and just like Lucia he grew up with two parents who didn't have time for children. The only difference is that his parents showed up when he needed them. Now he finally found his passion for teaching and that is what he is most proud of. He only has 3rules. 1 Never f*#k a student. 2 Never ever fall for a student. 3 Don't ever break any of the first two rules But he couldn't help himself. Lucia seemed to attract him, he wanted to be the one for her who didn't let her down. The one that showed he cared and would be there for her when nobody else was. But he struggled with the fact that she was a student and with his own feelings.

My Teacher is scalding hot and delicious!
Written by Diana tidlund on 3rd Jun 2018

Sam Crescent delivers a romance that is not only scaldingly hot but delicious at the same time in her latest book, My Teacher! I waited as patiently as I could (which wasn't very well) for its release and bought it within minutes of it going in sale this morning and immediately started reading it and didn't put it down until I was done! That alone should tell you how good it was. Add to that that I was willing to pay almost five dollars for it when I normally hate paying three for a kindle book should let you in on how exciting I was expecting it to be! Luckily Sam Crescent didn't let me down or break my trust in her writing ! My Teacher was amazing and everything it led the reader to believe it was! The plot and the characters took hold of the readers heart and attention and never let go, I could have continued reading for hours more and I would have still been enthralled with it ! On a scale of 1-10 is give it a 12!

Great story
Written by Rhonda on 3rd Jun 2018

Lucia is used to being bullied about her weight. Being a senior, she just wants to get through her last year in high school. Jack Parker is one of her teachers who has rules and he's is fixing to break them. This is a forbidden and taboo story of a teacher and one of his students. Don't worry, she's of legal age when they do get together but the getting together takes awhile. The secrets, the passion, the danger of being caught and the possibilities of Jack losing his job are on their minds but it's too late. This teacher/student story was really, really good and Sam spends time building the characters so you can feel the emotions and struggles. I really hated her parents throughout the whole story and really hated all the bullies!!! Will Jack and Lucia every get their HEA? What happens when they are found out? This story made me laugh, and cry and get ticked off. Get this book. It's pure Sam Crescent!!!!

GOOD
Written by Neringa on 1st Jun 2018

I love forbidden story's. I loved the plotline of this. And I was excited to read it. Lucia... I liked her character. Yes, you hearing right. There is 'but'. Because I hated how she let those SOBs actions affect her. And I know its probably easer said then done, when you are facing it yourself, but I just wanted her to love herself and just shrug off those negative people words. They aren't worth it. And Lucia just let them to have so much power over her daily life. Though, there was a couple moments, that I was proud of her how she dealt with them. The first time, she even made me snigger and clap my hands crazy. Lol. Lucia frustrated me. I wish she talking more about how she felt, and didn't just lived in avoidance. Too many times, Lucia gone along with things, even though she felt differently about them. Lucia just smiled like everything's fine. If she wanted to be happy, she should stand up for herself and what she wanted. Jack... I loved him. Though I sometimes so missed alpha 'I don't give a f***s.' attitude. Lol. By that I mean he was too gentlemanly sometimes for me. And he gave me a bit of whiplash. Though, I guess he was struggling between his feelings and what it's right. In all I enjoyed this book. I liked Jack and Lucia toghter. It was sweet, forbidden, sexy and hot.
