Dmitry Balakin is the head of the Balakin Bratva. He is a feared man unable to trust anyone. He calls in an outstanding debt and is given the guy's wife as payment. Alix is a mystery to Dmitry, she intrigues him more than any other ever has. Initially she was to be his daughters Nanny but they soon end up meaning so much more to each other. The chemistry was sizzling in this story with plenty of spicy moments. Also the heroine was not a shy, virgin character in those spicy moments or throughout, even when danger was presentor lives hung in the balance. She had no fear of the deadly Bratva boss, she felt nothingbbut love. The connection she shared with Dmitry's daughter Sofia was adorable also. It was a really enjoyable read that I thoroughly enjoyed every word of. I have no doubt you will too. Alix was in a loveless marriage with George Smith, because of his parents who she loved. After both sets of parents died, Alix filed for divorce and George would never sign the papers. Alix had never loved George. George has a debt he owes to Dmitri head of the Balakin Bratva and so George gives Alix to Dmitri to settle the debt. Dmitri chooses for Alix to be his daughter Sofia's nanny. He also helps Alix get out of her marriage to George. It is hard for Dmitri to trust anyone even his men. As he gets to see how much Sofia and Alix enjoy spending time together, Dmitri loosens up some toward Alix. He discovers Alix is a sweet , kind, honest, young woman. She is not frightened of him as most people are.
