Planet Alpha TM

As two Alphan warriors on the fast track to promotion and improved status, Mikel and Felix of the Tauride have their future planned out. They intend to go from performing security duties for the Prince while he visits Earth to eventually earning the right to seek out their human mate and rescue her in some dramatic way, impressing her and earning her love. But a chance encounter with a lovely young woman sends them both down a markedly different path.

Shy Alisa Sorrel merely wanted to see a rose garden, then retreat back to her safe and sequestered life in the Women’s Refuge on Earth, but once she encounters two earnest and determined Alphan officers, she’s forced out of her shell and into a whole new world of passion.

Even as the bonds they share tighten and satisfy needs they’d never imagined, Alisa, Felix, and Mikel are soon faced with danger and betrayal from the machinations of humans and Alphans alike. The Alphans will have the chance to rescue their fair damsel after all, but will they make it in time?

Be Warned: menage sex (MFM), m/m interaction

Excerpt:

Felix looked down at her and watched her eyelashes flutter as she stared at the door, her body trembling slightly. A faint drift of her scent trickled into his nostrils, and he sucked it in, the primal urge to learn her signs compelling him to sniff, stare, touch, and taste the woman who would be bound to him and Mikel. Desire filled him, strong and hot like a blazing fire, and he wrapped his arm around her body, pulling her tighter because he couldn’t stop himself. She tensed and turned her head to gaze up at him. He knew he should release her, not frighten her any more than she already had to be, but before he could move, Alisa let out a little sigh as she closed her eyes and leaned her head against his shoulder.

He stiffened with shock, but his body took over before his mind could catch up as he held her tight, stroking her shining brown hair like he’d wanted to since he’d first seen her. The sensations of her full breasts and round thighs sliding against him heated his blood and made his staff throb and harden. Twin pangs of pain echoed from the roof of his mouth as his tesak budded. This primitive response to her presence was the last bit of encouragement he needed. She was meant for them, like no other woman ever would be. She wriggled against him and slid her hands along his back muscles like she gained some comfort from the movement. He desperately wished there were no garments separating their skin. Lowering his head toward hers, he dared press his lips to the warm, smooth skin of her temple as fragrant wisps of her hair tickled his nose.

With a sudden inhalation, Alisa drew back and stared into his eyes. Felix froze. Her mouth opened slightly as if she was going to say something, but instead of speaking, she merely tightened her grip on his shoulders. She wasn’t rejecting him. With that realization, heat flooded through his body, anticipation of bonding with her in all things gave him the courage to cup her cheek and lean close. He waited a beat for her to show any sign of hesitation, but all she did was close her eyes.

At the first brush of her lips, his tesak burst out, his body’s primal signal to capture her essence both a pleasure and pain. He’d kissed a few other human women, but all past experience was swept from his mind as he tasted Alisa. Her sweet, warm mouth opened under his as she shuddered against him. Licking at her, he buried his fingers in her hair. Her full lips caught at him, the soft friction driving him to press his tongue against hers. She quivered, and he stiffened, his instincts shouting for him to rip her clothes from her body, to lower her to the floor and press his aching staff deep inside her luscious quonum.

A strong grip on his arm brought him out of the intense caress, and he stared for a moment at Alisa as she gasped in his arms, her head lolling against his shoulder. Another squeeze on his arm broke the trance, and he turned to see Mikel frowning at him.

“You were growling loud enough to draw attention,” his bondmate spoke in a low voice with a glance at the door. Felix glimpsed the curve of Mikel’s own tesak, and he rejoiced. Alisa was theirs, but not if they were discovered and exiled from Earth as punishment. Chagrined, Felix tried to collect himself. He’d been so overcome by her he’d forgotten the peril of their situation. Mikel glanced down at Alisa, and his gaze softened. She blinked up at them, a bright pink blush blooming in her cheeks. Their beauty, soon to be claimed.

Awesome
Written by Kenna Nauenburg on 31st May 2015

Loved, loved, loved this book! I love all of the stories in the "Planet Alpha" series, and this one is no different. It's exciting and sexy, and one of the greatest things about it is the humor. It was hilarious to read about Mikel and Felix, two big, strong, Alphan warriors, trying to court Alisa. They actually looked it up on the internet and tried to do it "by the book". It was adorable, and even **I** wanted to date them. I liked Alisa. She was obviously damaged and timid, thanks to her ordeal as a Xyran sex slave. However, she cares so much for the others in the women's refuge. There is a lot of action and excitement to the story as well. I'm not going to give anything else away because it should be read to fully grasp the effect of it. I highly recommend this book. It's awesome!

Sci-Fi pleasure, romance and action,
Written by willowtree "willowtree" on 22nd Jan 2015

I’d pre-ordered this book because I love J.J Lore’s Planet Alpha series, so when it slipped onto my kindle reader yesterday I couldn’t wait to read it. The lure of another delicious Sci-Fi romance involving this author’s gorgeous Alphan warrior characters was irresistible and I put off doing something else to read it. I wasn’t disappointed. Her heroes are lovely, handsome, strong, honorable, sexy, and in this book such great fun I had to smile a few times at their interactions, and the thoughts they shared as they sought out the woman they knew was destined to be their wife. The care and love they bestow on the human woman who unexpectedly crosses their path is enviable. The sex/love scenes are exotic as they share in giving her as much pleasure as possible. The plot is deeper than just a sexy romp, as threads of danger to both the Alphan warriors and their lady are woven in, and a sense that something sinister may happen kept me turning the pages. This is another hugely enjoyable story from J.J Lore and I hope to see more from her in this series.

Sizzling Hot Books
Written by Robin on 13th Dec 2014

People often talk about how great this book is or how amazing that book was. They compare the authors to great artists like Rembrandt or Michelangelo. But what people forget is that sometimes you don’t care about the classics, you just want to sit back, relax and escape from the stress of everyday living. That’s exactly what Unexpected by J.J. Lore was for me. If I had to pick just one word to describe the book, it would be fun; light, delicious and just plain irresistible. Unexpected is the 8th book in the Planet Alpha series detailing the romantic adventures of those yummy aliens who are looking for their bondmates. Mikel and Felix, two Alpha warriors on their way to promotion, have dreams of rescuing a human woman and earning her love. Instead, it’s a chance encounter with Alisa that drives their path to love. Alisa is shy and still recovering emotionally from her ordeal after being captured by Xyrans. It will take everything they have for Mikel and Felix to win her over considering there are others who don’t believe humans and Alphans should mix. I have read other books in this series and one of the reasons I keep coming back for more is because of the heroes. Ms. Lore has created a race of alpha warriors who are gentle, caring and loving with the woman who is their bondmate. Mikel and Felix might not be the most suave and debonair gentleman but they have only Alisa’s best interests at heart. Their attempts to win her heart are often comical and very sweet. I found myself smiling throughout reading because their antics were just so endearing. The sex scenes are also unbelievably erotic. Both men are focused on bringing Alisa as much pleasure as possible and their dedication to Alisa is evident on every page. Ms. Lore is very creative with her writing and has created a whole new language of body parts that the men/aliens have. She also uses her inventiveness to create a bondmate scenario that helps explain the instant love and connection between Alisa and the two warriors. I can only admire her imagination and am pleased that she is willing to share it with us. Unexpected can be read as a standalone though you will miss out on the history of how the aliens came to be on Earth and the dangers human women face from the Xyrans. But you will be able to completely follow the growing bond between Alisa, Mikel and Felix. So grab a snack, carve out some time, sit back and relax, and just have a good time while you enjoy this book.

Inked in the Bayou Book Reviews
Written by undefined on 20th Nov 2014

UNEXPECTED was a great futuristic romance novella. There was a surprising amount of character development packed into this small book, especially for the heroine. When we first meet Alisa her character jumps and flinches at just about everything. As the story progresses it is subtly apparent how much strength and confidence she draws from both her bond with the heroes and her experiences during the outings they draw her into. Felix and Mikel, the heroes, are at turns adorable and alpha male arrogant. I enjoyed the slip ups and bumbling of the heroes as they tried to figure out and implement a plan for courting Alisa. It was obvious they were aliens on a futuristic Earth and watching the two navigate the cultural divide between themselves and Alisa was entertaining. There was just enough suspense for a story of this length. The scenes were hot but didn't overwhelm the story line. Menage worked for these three characters and the brief M/M scene was...titillating. (Ha! There's really no other word for it.) I'm looking forward to the next in this series. Reviewer, Phoenix Andrews

Another sweet story
Written by Opinionated1 on 31st Oct 2014

This is another entry in the mythical world or universe where Earth women are desperately desired by alien warriors, to be their mates, bear their children, and have lots of hot sex. I must say that JJ Lore showed quite the ability to write some comedy in this one. The two Alphan warriors are struck sidewise by meeting their little Earthling mate, right after they take her down at a party while she is smelling the roses in the garden. They make mistake after mistake and I just laughed out loud several times. However, they really want their mate and go to the futuristic form of the internet for dating advice. There is adventure and danger and definitely a HEA. Two thumbs up and I look forward to more in this series.

Simple alien menage romance

This is a quick and simple alien menage romance read. Denial, avoidance, lust, sex, acceptance, mating & love. All this with some drama thrown in. Good for what it is.

good book
Written by Jonella A. Moore on 5th Oct 2014

I have really enjoyed reading the Planet Alpha series, and J.J. Lore's newest addition was very entertaining. I like the characters, the story line and how it fit in with all the other books in the series.
