Excerpt:

“With you I’m going to make more than memories.”

She glanced over at him.

“What are you going to make?” she asked, genuinely curious.

“We’re going to make lots of babies, and I’m going to make you incredibly happy so you don’t think about anything else at all.”

She kept staring at his face, seeing the determination there. It was kind of surreal to know that he loved her even though she only cared about him. She’d always liked Gideon, and she felt a little guilty that even as he was all in,she had only just realized that they were supposed to be together.

“If my father was alive, I wouldn’t even be allowed to sit in this car with you,” she said. “He’d have killed you.”

“I know. It would have been tough. Our families were enemies, but now, Emma, you belong to me.”

“You’re really not holding back, are you?”

“I can’t hold back. If witnessing my brother’s pain and anguish is anything to go by, I’m not going to waste a moment. We’re here.”

He pulled up outside a nightclub. The line to get in the door was so long. As he pulled up, a valet opened her door.

Before the man could help her out though, Gideon was already there, moving him out of the way. He handed over his car keys. She expected him to go to the back of the line. She should have known better. A Denton didn’t wait for anything.

He led the way into the nightclub, which was so incredibly loud. The noise seemed to bounce off the walls, and the energy was thriving.

She looked all around, seeing some women and men in cages dancing. The floor was full to bursting as men and women danced. They were practically fucking each other.

Gideon took her right to the dance floor, pushing past some of the dancers as he kept a firm hold on her hand. Once he was at the center, he turned, holding her close. One of his knees slid between her thighs. The skirt she wore wasn’t tight, so as he rubbed against her pussy, the skirt went with the movement.

Biting her lip at the instant hit of pleasure, she stood confused.

He took control though. Taking her hands, he placed them on his shoulders, making her hold him as he cupped her hips.

The beat of the music flooded the dance floor, and she held onto him. He wouldn’t let her look away. His gaze captured her, holding her still as she watched him.

He leaned in close, his lips against her ear. “You’re perfect, you know that,” he said.

She shook her head.

“Don’t worry, I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how perfect you are.”

OMG!!! Where do I begin! Book 5 in this amazing series and the twists and turns keep on coming. This absolute page turner will leave you gripped and desperate for more as the saga of the Denton family continues to unfold and have further obstacles that the brothers must overcome as a united unit. Firstly, Gideon is our brother to fall at the feet of the legacy now. His woman none other than Emma Colton the sister of his half-brother is the one that will own Gideon heart, body and soul and it is wonderful how the powerful brother shows another side to himself as all of the Denton brothers do where their women are concerned. They try to build a connection as Gideon and Emma grow closer and spend more time together. However, the closer Emma and Gideon become the more the famous Denton empire begins to show cracks within it and the head of the family Maddox starts to act unhinged in some of the actions and deals he is trying to make with the two other largest crime families, The Savonas and The Castillo Families each with their own questionable characters and dealings. Maddox takes all decisions upon himself with no thought of the consequences or those around him and he becomes a character that is nothing like what we have previously seen of him. His desire for power and greed has overtaken his sense and now he does not even listen to Charlotte the one woman who was always able to soothe his beast. She is a shell of the woman she once was and their connection is beyond broken. The Dentons have a new enemy and this time it is a lot closer to home than any of them would ever have dreamed of. There is more seen of Landon and the man he now is and also Tamsin who is a spitfire and considerably more mature than her age would lead you to think. I am beside myself with excitement waiting to see what the next book in this amazing series will be like and cannot wait to see what direction we are taken in next! Will it be about Landon or perhaps Gabriel who will surely also be bound by the legacy, possibly Wyatt or Owen who are now a lot more involved with the Dentons or even jump ahead a few years where Tamsin is of age? There are so many possibilities I cannot wait to see which one will be the answer. As always I cannot speak highly enough about this amazing series and the other books and series that have been written by Sam Crescent, I do however suggest that if you are reading this series you read each book within it in order to fully appreciate it, you won’t be disappointed. Emma Colton had never experienced freedom before. Having grown up under the thumb of her temperamental father and knowing her life wasn’t her own, it had taken a while after her father’s death to fully realise the freedom she craved was at her fingertips. She’s determined to get out of the city and live her own life on her own terms. Gideon had known Emma was his from the moment he saw her, but with both of their lives in complete disarray, he’d not wanted to spring anything on her. Having waited for things to settle down, Gideon is now determined to take what’s his – if only it isn’t too late. Having not read any of the previous stories in this series I was a little cautious. I was pleased, therefore, when I caught on to Emma and Gideon’s story fairly quickly and found my interest piqued by their strange world and the rules they all appear to follow. Mafia-style stories are new to me, and the author does a good job in my opinion of laying out the rules and differences these characters experience through their lives. While there is some violence, I was also glad there was nothing too graphic or over-the top. I usually don’t enjoy gore or serious violence in my romance stories and in that respect this one delivered – there was the hint and threat of violence, for sure, but nothing overt or gory so that made me happy. Despite the fact Gideon knows Emma is his one and only – and his love and attraction for her is incredibly deep, I enjoyed how he tried to be patient and allow Emma to get on board with him. Their chemistry is there, though Emma admittedly takes a while to really fall for Gideon, and this helped keep the tension and sexiness in the story before the actual intimacy begins. I also found the plot to be interesting and layered. Maddox – the head of the family – had plans and watching those machinations click over was different and intriguing to me. I found this to be a well rounded book – with a good, solid plot, interesting characters and some smoking hot sex. Readers looking to dip a toe into a Mafia-style story should find this one interesting, with what I found to be a good plot, a number of layered characters and plenty of steamy sex.

O.M.F.G!!! I did not see that coming at all!!! Wow just wow! So much going on and the truths comes out! My heart goes out to Landon, feeling his pain right there with him and Tamsin! Whoowee you go girl! And Maddox, I would never ever expected that he would do something like that to his son landon, and to Tamsin, the man has clearly lost his damn mind! The Denton sons now have to pick up the pieces of the mess their father left behind. The man Mason, that Tamsin was sold too is not as he seems but in a good way, it's his father who is evil to the core, and as for Landon well after dealing with his father, he has a plan that does not bold well for the family his father sold him too. Gosh! So looking forward to the next book and hope we dont have to wait long!

OMG! This book is everything. I have loved the Denton’s from book one but it just keeps getting better. I am not sure what parts I loved more, the love and chemistry or finding out what Maddox did and how he died. It certainly leaves me so excited for book 6!

Awesome Read. And a favorite already for 2019

I loved this story. Never have I read a story where the man is in love and wanting the love of the woman he adores so much, and the woman is hesitant to give into the feelings that is rising up within her. The back and forth; the way he works to convince her that it is her that he wants...all of it worked to keep me on the edge of my seat until finally when that first raw passionate kiss happened and I literally shouted, "Yes! Finally, he kissed the girl!" I had to laugh and then calm down before digging back into the book. It was epic! Gidieon's need and love for Emma is epic. Off the charts passionate and truly just as described legendary. I couldn't put the book down once I started and once it was over I wanted to read the next. Such a great read and a wonderful passionate love story.

I really enjoy Gideon and Emma's story. Oh the drama and suspense. Now I just want Landon story and Tamsin's story!! Those are going to be good!!

I really liked this book. It was hot and sexy. But, I really enjoyed the suspense and trying to figure out what will happen next. This series gets better and better with each book. I did not want this book to end. I could not get enough.

Okay... WTF happened to Maddox Denton?! No, I never was naive to believe that he was sweet and caring man. I knew what he is, but... I never thought, that he will go that path. It's ironic actually. He thinks that what he is doing will make Denton bigger and stronger, but in reality, he is breaking that legacy to pieces. The question is, will his sons, H from previous books, will see it and do something about it? OMG There's so much going on. I wasn't expecting that. This story started okay and then... I just couldn't stop reading. I think it's my fav in the series. At least for now, because there's possible two stories coming, that I'm so excited about. Can't wait.
